Great location, excellent value and an overall very good stay, with just a small inconsistency in the housekeeping exper
Pros:

Overall, we had a very good stay. The location is excellent, very convenient for Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof and getting around the city, and the room offered very good value for money.

We also appreciated the helpful service from the reception team. On our first day, we found that the shower drain was blocked. After reporting it the following day, the issue was dealt with promptly.

We also had some concerns about the room door lock, and a lady at reception was very polite and patient in explaining how the security system worked, which was very reassuring.

As we did not require daily room cleaning for environmental reasons, she also kindly explained that we could simply request housekeeping at reception whenever needed.

Cons:

The main issue was that there was no “Do Not Disturb” sign in the room to hang on the door. As we did not require daily housekeeping, reception had previously advised us to request cleaning only when needed, which worked well and helped avoid housekeeping entering the room unnecessarily.

However, during the last two days of our stay, when we went to reception in the morning to request room cleaning, a male member of staff told us that it could be arranged but that next time we should inform them earlier. We were a little surprised by the tone, as informing reception was the first thing we did when leaving the hotel that morning, and we had politely followed the arrangement previously explained to us.

It was only a small issue in an otherwise very good stay, but the interaction left us feeling slightly uncomfortable. Providing a “Do Not Disturb / Please Make Up Room” sign in each room would also make the housekeeping arrangement much clearer for both guests and staff.
