I had a pleasant stay at the orbital in early December.
Room was no frills but provided everything needed for a good sleep.
Staff were very nice and attentive, both Katie and Louisa were a lovely sight to come back to after a hard day's work.
Local amenities are great and with handy access.
Recommended.
Had a lovely 3 night stay here. Staff were all great especially the lady called carol, she was so helpful, couldn’t of asked for more.
This hotels is Lovely to stay at, the reception staff are very helpful, and the facilities in the rooms are lovely, spacious rooms and comfy beds
Booked table at 8 30pm by 8 50pm no one had approached to take our drinks or food order.i had 2 find a member of staff to ask for a drink! Never again.will book room but go to mcdonalds.absolute shambles
Really disappointing visit. Drove 4 hours to arrive at 7.30 and be told the restaurant was closing at 8pm due to a large group arriving at 8.30pm. If I was quick I would be served straight away, rushed to the restaurant (7.40pm) to be told kitchen was too busy and we couldn’t have a table. The restaurant was almost empty. Went for dinner elsewhere and came back for a drink, staff lacklustre, tables dirty and sticky, restaurant still empty. Let bar at 8.45 and the “large group” still hadn’t arrived, we could have eating in that time.
Walking to our room, the corridor and stair looked as though they hadn’t been vacuumed in a week. Premier Plus room… it was cold, two very thin pillows, no blankets, no biscuits/sweets which they are supposed to have, looked like someone had already been in the room and rummaged through the tray, one bath towel and one hand towel for two people, grey single ply toilet paper that looked more in keeping with a hostel or public loo, supposed high speed Wi-Fi that was exactly the same speed as the free Wi-Fi. No one on reception when we arrived or when we went back. “press the bell” sign on the desk permanently, no one answers if you ring as the pager is lying on reception.
Premier inn seems to have steadily gone down hill over the last decade, taking away all the little extras that made it worth while.
it was great katie was amazing , nice festive menu really getting me in the mood for christmas a nice little christmas tree.
room 11 ;)
Friendly and efficient service from the moment we arrived. Festive menu is a nice touch. Quick service in the restaurant with nice clean table.
Katie was amazing on reception. Very friendly and happy to help.
Clean and tidy .
Nice food and good beer bar staff happy to help.
Fantastic stay for one night stop over. The team are sooooo friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Rooms are comfy and clean. Carol on the front desk was really helpful with things to do in the local area !
The hotel is kept immaculate given how dated it is in comparison to other premier inns !
Thanks Carol and team
Even though we booked our rooms about a month in advance, we were in the last 2 rooms on the ground floor. Room 41. Bathroom light fid not work towel rail extremely rusty. Wall by the bed covered in dust. Beefeater restaurant main meals very disappointing. We have stayed here several times, but this visit is the worst.
Well, what a beautiful hotel. Spotless. Gorgeous accessible room, very comfy bed, low bath bathroom. Beautiful toiletries included. Staff very attentive and nothing was a problem.
I have dropped a star because I'm disabled and the disabled ramp lift was out of order and made things difficult for me with my mobility scooter, but staff let me use fire exit door. Hopefully before our next visit in March it will be repaired. Also shower curtains don't fit into bath resulting in water spilling over floor making it slippy, not good in disabled room. Overall excellent place...beautiful good at night and breakfast
Enjoyed my stay great check in room was comfortable. After a long journey really enjoyed a comfortable bed and a nice quick brekky at the pub next door.
Very pleased with our night in this hotel , it exceeded our expectations for a motorway stop over . Room was quiet , very clean and a VERY comfortable bed …. So it was even more of a wrench when at 6.45 am the fire alarm went off. It was only for about a minute so presumably a false alarm but as the bed was so comfortable we were still in a very sound sleep at that time .
The restuarant and menu looked very inviting when we arrived but as we had already eaten we didn’t use it .
Next time we stay I would make a point of using it as the light bite menu options looked inviting . Breakfast was a serve yourself buffet with lots of options including a good cooked selection
Would definitely stay again
Good value for money and the accessible room was great
parking for Disabled drivers was available just outside of Reception
The staff were great.
The bathrooms need some tlc as they just look unclean and dingy.
The rooms look tired & the location is not great due to the noise from the busy road.
We arrived to find a nice big parking area at the Premier Inn Junction 42. Checked in and made our way to our Premium Room. It's then when you realise that since you last used Premier Hotels things have changed. I'm sorry to say, they have changed but NOT for the better. The rooms are no longer serviced on a daily basis, they only give you a clean towel if you ask for one. The coffee maker leaked. There was only 1 easy chair (god knows where your other half sits). The staff informed me that the fire brigade would only let them have one chair. The shower height adjustment didn't work. Reported it and allegedly it was fixed, but it was still exactly the same when we came to use it. The coffee machine still leaked. What is the point of bothering to inform the staff about a defect, if nobody can be bothered to sort it.
It's been a long time since l last stayed at a Premier Inn and I'm amazed at the decline in their standards. Next time l will go elsewhere.
Good place to stay and good location. Friendly staff and had a good night's sleep. Also did good food. Will definitely stay again.
This was a one night stopover on a lengthy journey. The room was comfortable, as was the bed, but the cleaning could have been better. Receptionist was friendly and helpful. We did not eat at the nearby ‘Beefeater’ restaurant.
We had a really lovely experience at the Premier Inn Carlisle M6 Jct 44. The food was delicious and nicely presented, and the service was excellent throughout. Callum and Isla took great care of us — they were friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome.
