I stay here a lot with work and silvana is amazing with her service helped me with reservations of the room I prefer as been a regular here and very friendly towards myself from a customer point aspect
Really great hotel. Service outstanding. Food served on hot plates and really great value for your money.
Eda on Tuesday served me for breakfast and was there again for dinner. She is exceptional at service and an utterly nice person too. Having to cover the bar and to serve everyone’s food, she was outstanding.
Great service, very friendly staff
Good food
The room was lovely, bed was very comfy. Omg the shower was soooo good!!! Would highly recommend.
Outside was a disappointing view when you turn up but inside it was very clean and welcoming , we had a really comfortable atmosphere in our room with fridge , iron , coffee machine etc
Tara was absolutely fantastic and went above and beyond to make myself and my daughters stay as easy possible due to our hectic schedule. Our premium room was quiet, clean and spacious. Car park had plenty of spaces, location great for access to Christchurch town centre. Breakfast was average but there was a decent selection of options.
25 min to check in as they were so busy! Rooms are basic but ok, food in restaurant is bang average at best…. Not everything on menu is available, and they chuck you out at 10pm!!
All in all it is a pretty rubbish experience really and only worth staying if you can’t find anything else!
Check in was super easy. Met at Reception by 2 very friendly and helpful ladies. Explained meal times etc to us.
Room was as described. Comfortable and clean. Can't fault it.
My only observation would be maybe it would be good to have bath mats provided for using the shower.
We paid for a meal deal. Our evening meal was lovely. We treated ourselves to a cocktail which was amazing. Food was delicious.
I think the lady working on the evening of October 18th was possible called Samia ?? I just want to give her a big shout out .... she went above and beyond. A gold star
Breakfast was again delicious and the ladies working were friendly and welcoming
Would definitely come back again when in the area
The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. The rooms and other areas were clean and tidy. We had a very relaxed stay, which was essential as we were preparing to go to a funeral. Eda told us how to walk into town safely. I wanted to find somewhere to buy some flowers and she gave some helpful advice.
Stayed recently for 2 nights. We are regular visitors to a premier inn and have stayed here a number of times but not for the last few years
Our room was fine, up on the first floor just down from the lift. Clean room, comfy bed as normal. The heating was good as it was was cold when we stayed
The adjoining restaurant, one of the reasons we stayed here, is no longer open to the public. It is only open for breakfast and evening meals. When we visited we were the only ones in the restaurant. This resulted in us being centre of attention with the waitress back and fore to our table constantly and we could see her watching over to us the whole time which wasn’t a very relaxing experience. The food was very average, pizza and burger, the deserts were made with frozen fruit which was still frozen when served. Clearly things are kept frozen due to the small amount of customers. However breakfast both mornings was excellent and the breakfast staff were lovely
As we have found on our last few premier inn stays the reception staff aren’t what they used to be. Not rude as such but customer
Service doesn’t seem to be the top of their list.
Rooms are also not made up like they used to be, although tea coffee etc is available in reception for you to take as needed
Although our stay was fine the Premier inn experience definitely wasn’t what it used to be.
Unsure whether it’s how staff our selected for Reception at Premier Inns or how they are trained or both, but in my experience always friendly & helpful. Good value. Clean. Comfortable mattress. Limitless tea, milk and water available.
We bought prepaid breakfasts. Plentiful because it’s an all you can eat buffet - I had fresh fruit and granola. We also had veggie cooked breakfasts. OK for the cost. Love the mini teapots and coffee OK too.
Arrived around 1.30am after holiday and was looking forward to a good nights sleep. Walked in the room to a disgusting smell, the curtain was hanging off, the beds weren’t made, one of the pillows was dirty, there was rubbish on the bathroom floor, the bathroom ceiling was covered in mould and 1 set of towels even though family room for 3 was booked. After looking in tripadvisor we saw quite a lot of bad reviews so even though we had paid for breakfast in advance of the room was anything to go by I wasn’t going to risk eating the food the in the hotel. Will never stay here again
I came here for my boyfriend’s birthday get a way for a few days and it was soooo lovely!! Our room was made to perfection and we even got some yummy treats and a card which we did not expect at all, everytime we come here we are always well looked after and cared for and the food, drinks and customer service is always a 10/10!!
We stayed on Friday the 15th for one night. When we checked in we were told the rooms were very hot due to the Air con not working. When we opened the door to the room it was like stepping into a Sauna . The staff had put fans in the rooms but all it was doing was moving the hot air around. No bedding on bed just a sheet . So the nights sleep was pretty poor. About 4 hours sleep if that .
In the morning at checkout the reception staff was not bothered about our complaint . My mother and father in law were staying in one the accessible
Rooms. They went to use the shower chair but it was covered in black mould . There wasn't a quilt in their room . When we asked for a quilt for them a staff member came with it knocked on the door walked in and just left the quilt on the bed. It was a good job we were with them to help put the quilt cover on . We have also done an online complaint regarding this stay and to-date no reply.
On a positive note. One member of the house keeping staff went out her way to help us. Her name was Mel such a lovely lady .
Monday night in August did not come cheap at £136 and you now need to add £3 which did seem a bit penny pinching.
Double bed with a sofa bed by the window, drink making facilities along with a TV and a hairdryer etc. We even got a bath which was a nice touch.
The room location was a let down as it involved stairs and no lift option we could find? I would ask next time for a room in a better position.
Helpful staff at check-in who tried hard to be helpful.
Regular visitors to Premier Inns, but this was our first visit to Christchurch West.
Our early check in was fine, as was our room. Reception staff polite and efficient. Room clean and tidy. We prefer a walk-in shower, but the bath version was ok. The kettle was dodgy; had to hold down the “on” button until the water boiled. Reported to reception as we left. So, overall, content with the accommodation.
We didn’t use the attached pub/restaurant, the Bailey Bridge, until the last night of our stay, for a drink only. It is a sizeable place but the bar was bereft of beer pumps; only Coors, Madri, Moretti and Guinness were available - three globally produced, equally tasteless lagers, but no ales ( not even the ubiquitous Doombar). I managed to get a decent drink by way of a bottle of Sharps Atlantic (why not available on pump?) but things then got worse when my wife dared to ask for a brandy. The two bar ladies were polite and did their best to be helpful but could not locate a bottle anywhere. A study of the drink bottles on the shelves at the back confirmed not only that brandy was nowhere to be seen, but also that minimal other choice of spirits was available either.
So, a question to Premier Inn: why is this modern, reasonably sized, hotel attached, gastro pub so poorly stocked?
Having seen mixed reviews about Premier Inn's Christchurch West Hotel, I had mixed feelings, but was happy with PI's reputation and our past experiences with them (we, as a family, go to a different PI each year). As such, PI at CW, looks a little worn and well-used, but the Family Room was clean, all the amenities worked and was perfect for our needs. We had the meal-deal and the evening meals were as good as ever (probably a good idea to avoid asking for pints of soft drink for the kids, as this was found to be quite pricey, something like £8 per pint glass! The staff are well-versed in asking about and addressing allergies and have folders for people to check ingredients against meal selection. There were menus to peruse in the room, though it would have been nice to see details of the Meal Deal there too. The breakfast has taken a step away from the buffet style, here, one gave the server your choices, with whatever quantity wanted and one's plate was brought to you pre-loaded. The desire or ability to overfeed oneself, is technically there, but we did not feel the need to ask for seconds. The coffee machine works well, but the addition of a hot-chocolate machine would have been nice. All in all, a good selection of foods for breakfast and tasty as ever. Check-in and check-out was easy and the staff helpful and cheerful. While there was plenty of available parking, overseen by cctv, the PI itself is quite well hidden amongst various car showrooms.
We stay in a number of Premier Inns and although the room was as expected and comfortable, the service (with a couple of exceptions) was not.
Firstly, it is very difficult to find. We tried to phone, but no one answered the phone.
The afternoon staff on the desk for check in are unhappy and unhelpful. The Ultimate Wifi was difficult to use and the staff did not help. The hairdryer kept cutting out and when we asked for another one, a very grumpy person told us that they were all the same although she did get us another hairdryer. She came from the back and was still eating her meal when she got to the reception desk.
The staff in the restaurant were helpful, especially the Russian lady.
Lovely room as usual. Staff seem to be struggling a bit with computer systems and having to multi task with reception duties and cleaning. A few computer problems meant that a request for a WiFi code couldn’t be fulfilled which we had prepaid for. One breakfast was a good thing, the 2nd not so much, in fact it was disappointing which is hugely unusual for a Premier Inn. Have the impression that a few more team members might help !
The hotel was nice, nothing above and beyond but it was not below expectations. Staff at reception were nice and it was in a good location.
The exterior really needs maintenance all the paint is pealing, and it looks really run down. The interior is ok, and the staff are welcoming. The restaurant is in the next door former 'table table', it is only now open for hotel guests. We couldn't get a table in the evening at the time we wanted in the restaurant even though it was virtually empty as only 1 chef on ( but this is a common issue) in Premier Inns, so we ate elsewhere. The optics in the restaurant bar were poorly stocked, and it looked like it was closing down. We had the included breakfast the next morning and it was cooked to order, there was only one waitress and lots of guests but she took the orders and served the food quickly, the food was well cooked. I would only recommend for an overweight stay if you can get a cheap price any longer stay would be depressing. The car park requires you to key in your registration and confirm your length of stay otherwise you get a £100 fine. Google maps won't take you to the hotel ignore the instructions and take the turning after Hendy Land Rover and follow the road around to the parking the signage is poor
