The Malvern hotel was in a rather out of the way industrial park with no easy transport to anything. The hotel was clean and the staff friendly but inattentive and only sharing information when pressed. The room was adequate and reasonably comfortable and the food service was edible but far from high quality. If there had been an alternative place to stay I would not have book here but there is very little else in Malvern.
Great hotel. Location is excellent for a good walk into the town and to Malvern Link railway station. The room was clean and the food was of one of the highest standards we have experienced in all our stays at Premier Inns. The staff were really friendly and helpful, especially Ellie who was a marvel. We will definitely return.
The perfect location to explore the beautiful town of Malvern and the Hills. As expected our room was very well presented. Our stay was greatly enhanced by the friendliness of Linda and staff team who went over and above to help us. A special mention to chef Jane who cooked superb breakfasts, and great poached eggs to order. An all-round first class experience.
Good location excellent staff and food very relaxing . Will definitely use this hotel again as not too far for us to travel.
On a recent two-week trip, we stayed at two Premier Inn's. One was a 5 star, however this one was a 3 star. Still, a solid, budget option for a night or two. Read on for the PROs and CONs:
Pros:
~Friendly staff
~Complimentary parking (Don't forget to register your car).
~Electric tea kettle in the room
~Liquid soap, shower gel and shampoo pump bottles provided in the bathroom. (No lotion).
~Decent buffet breakfast available for an extra fee. Breakfast staff were very friendly.
~Conveniently located near Morrison's, M&S, McDonald's.
~Flexible check-in time. We had originally booked a B&B, but their check-in time wasn't convenient for our plans, so we switched to the Premier Inn and arrived around 9:30pm.
~Generally comfortable, quiet room.
Cons:
~Slightly older property, showing it's age around the edges.
~The main thing that made me reduce to 3 stars was when I pulled back the bedding, there was an eyelash, hair and other bits in the bed. It was late, so I chose to brush it aside and ignore it, but that was off-putting, leading me to wonder if the sheets had been changed.
~Hair in the bath and a stain down the side of the bath.
~No USB ports next to the bed. (There was a plug on one side of the bed at least).
~No iron.
~No lotion provided

One of the nicest hotels I've stayed at! Rooms were comfortable and clean, with PLUG SOCKETS BY THE BED!!!! Also had an output box on the wall by the TV so we could have used devices if we wished. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and food served was absolutely delicious
Very helpful and friendly staff who went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. They couldn't do enough to make our stay memorable. Rooms very clean and food very enjoyable.
The staff were absolutely brilliant — from the warm greeting at check-in to the friendly, personable restaurant team. Everyone was so helpful and genuine. I’ve stayed in a few Premier Inns, but the team at Malvern really stood out. The way they interacted with guests and each other created such a positive, welcoming atmosphere.
However, the Wi-Fi was quite poor. When I tried to upgrade to the Ultimate Wi-Fi, the payment page didn’t load until the next day, which was disappointing — especially as I was staying for work.
The rooms, while clean, are starting to look a little tired. The shower head in my room (115) sprayed in all directions, making it hard to use without water going everywhere.
Overall, fantastic staff but some maintenance and Wi-Fi improvements would really make a difference.
great location within easy reach of the town, also good shops nearby should you require, plus filling stations. Staff great, room and comfort excellent. nice quiet stay too which is a rarity now in some hotels - well done Malvern Team. The morning ladies were super friendly and cooked a great breakfast too
Very welcoming as usual. Great service. My husband particularly loves the breakfasts! Really good value for money . Already booked return visit next year !!
The Malvern Premier Inn was 15 minutes from the Three Counties Showground, where we were attending the RHS Autumn Show, and part of a retail park with M&S, Boots, Poundland etc.
The hotel was up to the usual high standard of Premier Inns.
The staff, particularly Linda and Ellie were friendly, obliging and helpful, brightening up the whole experience of the hotel during our stay.
Stayed overnight to visit family. Hotel was everything you expect from a Premier Inn. Friendly staff, very clean and everything you need in the room. Only downside for me was the room was very warm, even with the air con on the minimum temperature it was set to go to was 19 degrees which for us was just a bit too warm.
Amazing breakfast. Slept very well. Room clean
Breakfast service and staff were incredible and catered to our needs.
Meals all delicious both breakfast and evening! Great location for Malvern and surrounding areas plus an Aldi very nearby for any requirements.
Would definitely return
We stayed a few days with friends there is plenty of car parking and not far from malvern ,Nathan checked us in and was great very friendly and helpful he is a credit to your firm!
Meal deal is good value and we had a lovely evening meal and breakfast, your lady cook is very nice and chatty the whole staff are nice we enjoyed our stay and would return
Stayed here for 2 nights made all the more pleasurable by meeting the lovely Linda who was on reception. An absolute gem she was so caring and helpful. Great room good bed, pillows and bedding. Quiet hotel would highly recommend.
Great location, easy drive into Malvern or Worcester town centre. There is also a bus service from outside Morrisons, 5 minute walk away. Number 44 runs between Great Malvern and Worcester bus station.
Aldi, M and S all within walking distance
Had room 101, quiet at night so slept well.
Large car park.
Wi fi a bit hit and miss.
Guy on reception (think was called Nathan) really good, gave advice on a few things and went out of his way to be helpful.
Room clean, hotel bit tired b
We stayed over the night before heading to Somerset we had a great check in and staff were lovely and polite the food was very enjoyable and very hot
We spent 2 nights at Great Malvern, and can’t rate this hotel or the staff high enough, nice quiet location, but close to amenities if required. Room was spotless and very quiet, the bed as expected was fantastically comfortable, we had booked breakfast which was full of choice for everyone, we also had an evening meal on arrival too, with a stacked menu with a lot of choices too with huge portions of quality food. Every member of staff were cheery, helpful, polite and approachable, will definitely return to enjoy the Malverns and stay in this Premier Inn.
The worst bits..
The room was dirty and unkept. Short hairs on bed sheet under duvet when lifted to get into bed. White gunk/markings on curtains. Yellow and smelly stains or urine on back of toilet. Skirting board had food or drink spilled on which would've probably wiped off if they had taken the time. The table legs were broken and was not safe to be used.
Other bits that I would not normally make a comment on but while writing I will on this occasion..
So much noise throughout the night. I suspect it was other customers but it sounded like they were moving furniture and banging. I appreciate this is something I could've come and told you of in the night so you could try remedy but I choose not to do I accept that was out of your control.
I did however phone the front desk a few hours after leaving the hotel. I had hoped to explain this to staff in person but no one was at front desk when we came down to put our door cards in the box and had to rush to take our friend to a hospital appointment so we could not wait around. I'm sure if I had waited a few minutes someone would have been there.
To top off a night of very broken sleep and discomfort in knowing that this room was not cleaned properly so we were concerned the bedding had not been changed ect, when I had phoned to explain this all I was met with what I felt to be a defensive and obnoxious man who seemed more concerned that I had phoned instead of waiting for a member of staff than he was about my actual concerns. I am unsure if it was me misunderstanding what he had said or not but when I told him I had come down and no one was at desk he stated something along the lines of "well I was here all morning so you didn't come down to speak to us" I don't remember the exact wording but that's how it came across.
Needless to say this may not be our first choice next week when we come back due to the lack of care shown over our concerns.
We use premier inn on our travels often but this experience has left a bad taste from the room and the male on the phone.
The positives I will say is that we appreciate the ability to get extra tea bags ect. That was wonderful as ever and we definitely appreciated the air-conditioning. That helped too.
Two other staff members we had encountered were wonderful and helpful if required.
Plenty of free parking next to the hotel. Modern accessible building. We stayed on the ground floor at the end of a corridor, since we are both elderly and disabled and we had asked for a quiet room, which we were given. We also had a bath and shower in the bathroom which we had requested, (not available in all the rooms).
All the staff were lovely and helpful.
The worst part was that the windows do not open and in a heat wave you can't have the air-conditioning on lower than 19°C. I found it irritating and it caused me to have a slight cough, although my husband wasn't affected.
Also there is no extractor fan in the bathroom so you get loads of condensation.
Very comfortable bed as usual and breakfast was good. There also some good deals to be had on drinks in
the bar.
