Drinks menu, but no bar service
Pros:

I settled into my room just now (22.15) after a seven-hour train journey from London. There was a welcoming Drinks Menu card on the desk. I walked to reception to order a glass of white wine. The receptionist said the bar was closed for cleaning and maintenance. I asked when it would open and he said not tonight. There is nothing on the Drinks Menu card about limited hours. I asked to speak to the manager and the receptionist said hi name was Mesh and he was the manager. What a rubbish welcome and awful place. The likes of Mesh should not be working in hospitality

Good value for money
Pros:

Perfectly located, with a car park as well, which makes it so much easier in Aberystwyth. It is only a 2 Star hotel, so you get all the basics but it's good value for money, if you only need somewhere to stay for a few nights. Breakfast is also very decent and for good value too. Some bits in the bathroom could do with a slightly deeper clean (shower head was a bit mouldy), but other than that, nothing to complain about.

Great average Premier Inn centrally located
Pros:

The hotel is on the sea front. Currently, you can't miss it as it's covered in scaffolding. You enter around the back of the building, past the cinema, where there is a small car park. The building next door has been completely gutted, with the whole walls removed at the back. It makes for a miserable locality.
Check in was fine. Room was fine also, but looking tired. TV worked fine.
Breakfast was above average, with everything you could possibly want - cooked items, cereals, fruit, etc.
I find this hotel quite expensive at times, but they charge what people will pay I guess.

The Place To Stay
Pros:

I paid £128 for 2 nights and this was one of the cheaper dates available. This hotel began life as the Bay Hotel - the frontage and front facing bedrooms have been retained, with a modern extension built on at the rear. My front facing room 104 couldn't be faulted. Just be aware the access to the hotel is via an unassuming rear entrance through the car park. The bus/rail interchange is an easy 5 minute walk away. The staff all make your stay enjoyable with their friendly attitude. The evening meals were very quickly dispatched from the kitchen and the breakfast offered a far better quality of bacon than some other Premier Inns are currently using. It's a lively little town and highly individualistic - I want to come back!

Couldn’t be better placed
Pros:

This is one of the more unusual Premier Inns that I’ve visited owing to the unusual construction. The hotel fascia is a retained part of a long parade of original properties right on the front at Marine Parade and the branding (a bit worn) is so subtle that you could miss it from that side. Most of the body of the hotel, including the car park and reception, is built at the back of the retained property and is the usual type of modern construction which you’d expect for the chain. Inside there are all the usual amenities apart from an explicit bar. If you want a drink then sit in the restaurant and the waiting staff will serve you at table. My room was the usual high standard but the odd arrangement makes the residential part a bit of a warren. Using the stairs down from my room on the top floor I was disconcerted to find one flight down put me back on a corridor and I had to find another staircase to get the rest of the way down. In the process, however, I did discover how to use the exit onto the seafront. There is a lift of course but I always like to check the stairs and this was the only niggle I had.

family stay
Pros:

This is a lovely hotel, the cleanliness was spot on throughout the hotel.
I disagree with the Premier Plus rooms being named that. It still has the bath with over shower and the room sizes are alot smaller than the usual PremierPlus rooms.
I booked several rooms and two sets of guests arrived the same day at different times, the first set had settled into their room and the second set were given the keycards for the first sets room, walking in on them. Not sure how it happened as although in my name, each had their own booking reference and were named on each booking and names not the same. Apologies from the staff but this could have been really embarassing.
Premier Plus comes with a Nespresso machine but trying to get pods are harder than you would think in this hotel, in comparison to other Premier Inns and when you do track someone down, I had to be cheeky and ask if I could have more than the two pods given to me! It was the first time I had asked and I was three days into my stay.
I live in Wales and as much as I would use this hotel more, I travel two hours in the other direction as the price comparison means an extra few days. This Premier Inn is overpriced even with its location, not the hotels fault.
The location is right on the front and if you go to the 1st floor there's a front door you can use to take you to the promenade. You can book rooms with a sea view. it is a great hotel for it's location to the town, castle and visiting other towns.

Pricey for what it is
Pros:

Arrived around 2.30pm to find a full carpark which meant we had to circle the town a few times. Finally a very tight space became available about 4.15pm. We entered Reception to check in to be greeted by an uninterested young lady. There was some issue sorting us a key card for the room which wasn't ideal after a long drive. My granddaughter had a football match at Aberystwyth Town we literally had time to dump our bags have a quick wash, change and head back out. The WiFi wasn't great, there were extra pillows and the air-conditioning was welcomed. We had breakfast which was ok but quite a wait for some of the cooked items. Tables are very close together pretty much sitting back to back with the table behind us. For the price we paid for one night I feel we were done over after staying at a different Premier Inn with friendly welcoming staff in the centre of London a wk later for less than half the price charged here.

Lovely location awful car parking
Pros:

Lovely hotel amazing location but the car park is awful , trying to find a space is impossible and you get charged £8 for 24 hrs, I had to drive around town at night trying to find a space and as a solo woman it made me feel very vulnerable

Extortionate price and £8 parking with no breakfast
Pros:

Extortionate price, the most i have EVER paid at a Premier Inn at almost £220 per night with no breakfast, WiFi you have to pay for and parking you get charged £8 a day for! Absolutely extortionate and the only thing Premier here is the PRICE!

The only thing Premier here are the Prices!!
Pros:

A typical good standard Premier Inn hotel but this one is absolutely extortionate!! Almost £220 per night which doesn't include breakfast or parking! As i didnt want to take out a second mortgage and with costs creeping towards £250 just to stay overnight i avoided the restaurant! If you want to park in the small cramped car park, you get stung for another £8 per day!! The only thing Premier here is the Price! Yikes!

Great stay
Pros:

There was plenty of parking when we arrived but overnight I noticed the entire carpark was full including double yellow line spots.

Checking began promptly at 3pm with a bit of a queue. I’m from overseas and this was the only hotel in the UK where I needed my passport to checkin.

We booked a double room with a view - and what a view it was. Fabulous1 straight out to see with a great view of the sunset. The room was large with good aircon and decent wifi (although it did slow down a lot after returning from dinner). Shower over bath. Everything was working and clean.

The room was lovely and quiet and we slept well but some of the corridors have old squeaking timber floors. If you had a room outside one of those sections I’m not sure you’d be so happy.

Location was ideal - right on the seaside and a short work to everything.

Breakfast was average. We were asked to book a breakfast time when we checked in.

A pleasent stay at the Premier Inn Aberystwyth
Pros:

Premier Inn Aberystwyth was a lovely stay. The staff were pleasent and helpfull, whatever time of the day.
Everywhere was very clean and accessible. Food is excellent for breakfast, light bites and evening dinner.
The hotel is stated on the beach front, which is an added bonus and with lots to do around the surrounding areas.
I rate my stay 100% and would definately stay here again. 😊👍

Great family mini break!
Pros:

We decided to visit Aberystwyth as we’d never been to Wales. Beautiful scenic drive to the hotel. Ample parking, paid for at the end of our stay. Check-in was quick and easy at the self service kiosk, even quicker if you check-in online beforehand. Family room was spacious, with all necessities available. You can help yourself to extra milk, tea and coffee at reception, no need to ask. Beds were super comfy. Shower was amazing! Like a waterfall and so hot! We received a promenade view room which was awesome and had easy access to both exit doors. Wish I’d actually read my emails to know that we could have bolted dinner on, taking the guess work out of deciding what and where to eat, which can be tricky with kids in tow. Plenty to see and do in the area. The kids especially enjoyed exploring the castle ruins. A great play park right next to the Castle too. Plenty of pay-for toilet facilities around. An excellent stay. We left reluctantly and wish we’d booked an extra night.

We’ll be back!
Pros:

Breakfast fantastic options as usual. Attentive staff on the front desk. Room was huge for our family break which was lovely. Beds so comfy. We had a great nights sleep. The only slight issue is that ideally there would be a door onto the sea front. Would be so much more convenient for families especially rather than trekking through the car park and round

On the whole a decent stay but please read the Pros and Cons for yourself
Pros:

We stayed here due to visiting family in Aberystwyth. Parking is now £8 per 24 hours (the rate has increased since May this year)!

Pros: Room clean and tidy, excellent mattress and pillows with extra provided, staff are all lovely, close to town centre with plenty of places to eat and drink. The Prom Diner opposite is great!

Cons: For a double room, only one set of towels was provided, so we had to go to Reception and ask for extra, there is no phone in the room, so it was a journey down there and back from the 3rd floor.

The room cards didn't work on numerous occasions; again, more trips to Reception to get new ones. (This may change in the future, as I think they may be having a new system installed later this year.)

Reported that a lightbulb wasn't working, still not sorted by our 5th day.

Now this is the biggie for me: the window in Room 308 doesn't open, it's sealed. On arrival at the room, there was a strong smell of artificial air freshener coming through the vents. There was no way to turn this off. I became quite wheezy. As an asthma sufferer, this was quite off-putting as we couldn't open the window to get some fresh air in or a through draft. This system continued all the time we were there; apparently, it was to make up for the window not opening! It was frightening, as if I had an attack; there was no phone in the room to call for help, and no window to open. I felt quite vulnerable when in the room on my own, but was ok if my partner was with me. Perhaps someone could address this for H & S purposes....
