Nice tidy hotel and a good location about 20 mins walk into the centre. Comfy bed as always and good breakfast. No USB charging points nore shaver/toothbrush socket in the bathroom and our bathroom had a bath with a shower over which was a bit problematic due to our health issues. (No accessible rooms were available). Sound proofing between the rooms could be better as we were woken up before 6 am by other guests getting ready to leave. (There was quite a few contractors vans in the carpark so may have been them?) I personally don't like having to pay £8 to park the car in the hotel carpark. Big Morrisons across the road if you need anything. Would we stay here again? yes we would.
Total lack of sympathy from evening restaurant staff. I have mental health issues (anxiety & also a phobia about dogs following some unfortunate experiences) .I was horrified to see a dog in the restaurant and told the staff member I couldn't eat in the same room as a dog. She told me that in that case I'd have to eat elsewhere as it was an assistance dog. Whilst I had every sympathy with its blind owner, I felt that mental disability should be taken as seriously as physical disability, which it wasn't. I said as I didn't know Wells I'd have to eat in the restaurant. The staff member made no effort to find me a table away from the dog or to offer for me to take a meal up to my room.
At the end of my meal I tried to explain my difficulties to her and a colleague in a calm reasonable way, but they were quite defensive. Another guest (male) joined in and swore at me!
The following morning I spoke to the Duty Manager , cancelling my booking there for a second night. I said that I felt the evening restaurant staff needed extra training.
Not a great looking hotel, but great location for all amenities. The hotel was clean and the staff welcoming and happy to help with any additional requests. The accommodation itself could not be faulted. Fresh, clean and comfortable. Great nights sleep.
Very good and friendly staff and very comfortable accommodation. The bloke behind the breakfast food called ray was very friendly and very chatty.
Excellent location and parking!! Which is very difficult to find in Wells.
Warm and friendly.
Fantastic service from the staff!
We had a very pleasant experience for 2 nights. Staff, particularly Luke & Sarah were polite, helpful & friendly. Nothing was too much for them. Our breakfast & evening meal was very good. We asked for a quiet room & were given one on ground floor. We noticed that they handled a difficult guest well on one evening. Thank you for a good stay especially as we were visiting a sick relative & needed it to be calm & quiet.
Lovely clean rooms
Ray who cooked breakfast was very friendly and lovely
We were greeted by Luke on reception on our arrival and he worked extremely hard the whole 4 days we were there, he was friendly polite and a really nice young man
I stayed at this hotel with my mum who is disabled. We booked an accessible room and a standard room for me. The accessible room was outstanding, with a wet room and a lower bed than in my standard room. Both rooms were extremely clean. We booked breakfast which was £10.99p per head and was excellent with very good quality sausages and bacon. The Chef made us fried bread in our second day. The staff were outstanding and really helpful. Overall an outstanding stay and value for money in a beautiful part of the country. Thank you.
Hotel very good. Staff excellent. Badly behaved or poorly controlled kids ruined what might have been a good night's sleep. No Good Night guarantee
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED clean, pleasant and close to shops and short walk to Wells Cathedral. We went for our daughter's wedding and The Premier made our day special.
Good location being so close to the city centre. Very quiet abd clean room with kettle, tea or coffee. Good parking although a small charge its worthwhile.
Very satisfactory breakfast with good choices.
Nice and friendly staff at reception, bar and restaurant.
Good overall place to stay where others locally can be seriously deficient.
Stayed here for 2 nights and Karli was very helpful and gave us excellent customer service.
A credit to Premier Inn and her team
Karli was incredibly hospitable, so friendly and easy to talk to. Really amazing service, couldn’t recommend this premier inn any more 👍
Stayed in the hotel in wells, 10 minute walk from the high street and a big supermarket across the road, was a nice premier inn with a good atmosphere, food, drinks and room all reasonably priced and quite nice food but what really stood out was the service, Karli really went the extra mile for us making sure we were all happy with our food and drinks, quick and efficient service, lots of local information and just a really lovely girl, we will stay here again when we next come back ESPECIALLY if Karli is on shift!!
Very lovely staff, always have a good laugh and always willing to help. Ray and Sarah, especially, always on hand to help when in the restaurant or reception.
Tremendous location just a short walk into the city. The whole team Luke. Louie and Harrison were amazing. We used the meal deal which was great value and both meals were delicious.
A lovely welcome at Reception. All the staff we saw were helpful. The evening meal in the restaurant was first class and the staff were very attentive.
Was clean and staff nice and helpful.
What ruined it for us was the wifi. Absolutely horrendous speed for a hotel. Not even 1MB of speed.
Excellent service, waiters name was Luke. Friendly courteous and helpful, taking extra care with gluten free foods and helping to adjust the food order to facilitate the food intolerences
We were made welcome, every thing worked, room had all we needed. No frills but as to be expected. Staff were excellent, everyone we met was friendly and very helpful. We had included meal deal (dinner & Breakfast) this was very good value, nicely presented and very tasty too.
Breakfast chef and waiting staff were excellent; friendly, helpful and efficient.
Layout for hot breakfast was superb; if you must have self service breakfast this is best layout I have come across.
Well done. Premier Inn at their best.
