Good points. Good location. Fantastic beds. Friendly (but extremely overworked) staff. Free parking and great breakfast.
Bad points. Paid for a superior room but filthy , sticky table and chair and footstool with food residue all over, bathroom clean but filthy plughole. Ate at the restaurant in the evening but only 2 staff on covering restaurant, bar, reception and kitchen and the food wasn't great. Avoid the flatbreads unless you need a Frisbee. Not up to normal premier inn standard let alone paying out for premier plus .
Standard premier inn! Just don’t eat here, sat down at 6pm, I’m alone, a table of 5 ordered at the same time had there starters I chose not to have a starter! They get their main meals before I get anything! It’s now 7pm and I’m still waiting!!!
Great location. Lovely staff. Extremely helpful.
Room was clean and fresh. Bathroom immaculate.
Great view from our window too!
Parking a very welcome bonus.
We booked breakfast and we regretted it. The food was poor. Not worth the cost.
Stayed at this Premier Inn due to Granddaughter being at university. The staff were all lovely and helpful. The rooms was clean and well presented, will be back again. Thank you
Had a lovely stay staff were welcoming on front desk, breakfast was nice and cooked fresh in the morning and my room was spotlessly clean I will definitely be coming back to this premier inn
This was a perfect location as my wife had an appointment for surgery at a local hospital. We had a superior plus room which was spotless and very comfortable for her to rest on arrival. The staff on reception were really caring and SO helpful while a member of the restaurant staff brought food up to our room. They went above and beyond their duty.
We would fully recommend the Headingley Inn and we would not hesitate to use it in the future.
Disappointing stay – not the usual Premier Inn standard
I was really disappointed with my recent stay. The room hadn’t been properly cleaned — a dirty towel had been left behind, and I later found hairs in the bath/shower (I even have video evidence). One bedside light had no bulb and the desk lamp didn’t work.
When I went down to reception, it took quite a while for someone to come to the desk, and I was told they were busy. I was asked to take a towel myself, even though I was clearly heading out, and told the lighting issues were a maintenance job.
On the positive side, the bed was comfortable and the view from the window was nice, but overall the experience fell far short of what I’ve come to expect from Premier Inn. I was only offered a free breakfast, which doesn’t really make up for the poor cleanliness and service.
With my job I stay away most of the week, most of the year and without doubt this has been the best hotel I have stayed at in a long time. Every employee is very friendly and extremely helpful, even when they are really busy. The food is great, very quick service and the food is done to such a high standard that you forget that you are in a Premier Inn. The rooms are comfortable and spacious which is standard for Premier Inn. They have also managed to get the setting right in the restaurant and it is relaxing and modern. It is not a coincidence that I request this hotel every time I am working in Leeds. The location is ideal also.
Came up to Leeds to go to the Arcade Club down the road. This was one of the nearest places to stay and we weren’t disappointed.
Good location, free parking and a good breakfast the next day at just £10.99.
Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, couldn’t fault it.Will definitely be back.
We paid for early check in but no room was ready when we arrived even though I emailed a day before to confirm our arrival time. We were made to wait around whilst the receptionist argued with someone on the phone. We were later told a room was ‘found’ but it needed a bed so had to wait further. No apologies or offer of a drink. When in the room the bath, sink and toilet all had pubic hair in them. The added bed was rock hard. We didn’t have time to complain as we needed to change and get to an appointment which we were already a hour behind now thanks to them. Drunk students were noisy as there’s a popular bar underneath. The positives. The main bed was comfy. Parking is good and remember to type in your reg plate to validate it. Breakfast was fine. It’s a good location to get into central Leeds. There’s a late opening Burger King underneath. Overall it served a purpose but poor service.
Overall our stay was good - we like what Premier Inns provide. We like the new walk-in shower ... but the removal of bedroom china cups and glass tooth mugs in the bathroom did not go down well.
Opening the extra pillow package, my wife discovered a small wriggly grub on one pillow. On reporting this, it was swiftly replaced while we had dinner.
Brilliant experience from checking in to checking out
Lovely clean room. Welcoming staff
Highly recommended for solo travelers on business safe environment and well looked after
I only stayed one night after dropping off my son for Uni. Self check in was really easy- the staff were very friendly showing me - good free parking- hotel foyer and room were very clean. Very comfy bed and great black out curtains. Nice and quiet despite being on the main road. Shower over the bath was adequate and bathroom nice and clean. Only negative was not being able to open the window in the room which I know is common in high rise hotels but the room felt hot (there is air con but I don’t like sleeping with on) - I prefer to have a window open. Great position right in the middle of lovely Headingly. I felt very safe being a loan female. You have to use your room key card to go up in the lifts and again through doors in the corridors. Will definitely stay again when visiting my son.
Stayed here for work and my first time here, ive been staying in travelodges but work decided to put me here for a change really enjoyed the stay the breakfast are alot better than travelodge, the reason for 4* is the room was full of dust and bedding was stained, it wasn't the cleanest room, The staff on check in was really friendly overall it was a good stay.
Been here quite a few times and although the staff are rarely the same, they are always polite, friendly and helpful.
Free parking is nice touch, plus good breakfasts and restaurants.
Views from top floors are fabulous.
Will definitely be returning
I had the most wonderful time. Staff were really helpful and friendly. They could not do enough to accommodate u.i especially like to thank Jordan..
Thank you loads..you work really hard.best for the future. Hope you reach to the top.
Keep smiling.
My daughter and myself booked for two nights. After travelling from Cornwall since 4am, we arrived 40 minutes before check in time with two travel weary children aged 5 and 8. We were charged a fee for checking in early. Our family room was small with very little space between a double and two single beds, one of the single beds was very narrow and only suitable for a small child. The main room was tired looking, there had been an attempt to clean a large area of the wall by the double bed which appeared to have had a spillage and the carpets were grubby. Tea and coffee provision was minimal with two teabags and two sachets of coffee, these weren't replenished during our stay. The tiles in the bathroom were in need of either deep cleaning or re-grouting. We were only provided with three bath towels and two hand towels for four guests. The room wasn't cleaned during our stay. Having stayed in other Premier Inn hotels previously, by comparison I was disappointed with the standards of presentation and cleanliness.
The saving grace of this hotel was the staff we had contact with. The receptionist who was also overseeing running the breakfast seating and clearing tables made us feel welcome and was one of the friendliest receptionists I have come across. Unfortunately I didn't get her name to give her the credit she deserves. We ate in the restaurant one night and were waited on by Joy and Danny, they were efficient and friendly. Danny was super patient with our children and informative about the area and how it's changing. The children's summer meal deal was a bonus!
Self check in a pain as keys didn’t work but didn’t realise till we got up to room on the sixth floor had to go back down to reception to find no body there so had to wait before someone came. Met another couple who had had the same problem. Just needs a bit more attention to detail. Stayed in premier plus room this is second time we have stayed here no hot water from sink tap air con unit fascia broken. The room is looking tired but the bed was very comfortable.
I have stayed in many different Premer inns over the years. Since Covid, rooms are cleaned only when requested but this has not been reflected in the price. Stayed for 5 nights and asked for the room to be cleaned many times but it wasn't.
Plus point was the free parking and location.
We had a good overnight stay at this Premier Inn on Headingley’s “main drag”. Although we were visiting for other reasons, it’d be a great location if you’d come to watch cricket. I’d accidentally booked an accessible room. We didn’t need it but it is really well equipped for wheelchair users. Easy access into the bathroom and everything in there would be at the right height. Even the bed is lower than PI’s usual one. Air con worked well on a particularly hot day and night. Storage is a bit lacking, even for one night - there’s decent clothes hanging space but not even a shelf for other clothes, like underwear, so they had to stay in the case. Breakfast was fine – I’d read a couple of Tripadvisor reviews that had given concern but everything was as you expect on a PI buffet. Maybe they’d read the criticism and taken action. Would certainly stay again if in the area.
