After a 6 hour drive A lovely warm welcome. From the two ladies on the desk. The room was clean warm and comfortable. We will be back
This premier is a good location for what we need. I understand there are works going on but it would have been better if breakfast was put outside our door as we don’t always get up early on our leisure days
I recently stayed at this hotel at short notice.
The hotel room was clean, the shower was excellent and the bed was comfy.
The lady on the reception named Charlotte was very helpful with assisting in local directions.
5*
Paul was fantastic on reception. Extremely helpful. Rooms are good sized and very clean! Decent shower pressure and USB chargers in the room.
Friendly desk staff - Paul - very welcoming and overall good experience overnight. Would recommend to anybody travelling
The staff were all brilliant but Charlotte in particular stood out for her effort and attention to detail.
The room was perfectly comfortable, location fine, lack of restaurant understandable.
Perfect place to stay for Bridgwater Carnival. Checked in by the lovely, welcoming Charlotte who offered us biscuits on arrival. Really friendly warm welcome.
I chose this location as it is in good walking distance of Bridgwater and as it has a on site restaurant. I booked many months in advance as we were visiting for the Bridgwater Illuminated Carnival and staying Friday to Monday. A few weeks prior to visiting I reviewed the hotel for up to date opinions and found that there was building works and car parking was compromised and the restaurant wasn't open as it was being refurbished. I emailed the hotel for more detail on this and found that the restaurant was not open, but parking was fully available. Following this email I then started to get daily emails informing me that the restaurant was closed and not likely to be open during our visit. I lost count the number of emails I received! I then received another email a few days before going stating I could add breakfast to my booking. We rang to see if this was an option only to be told that the restaurant was still closed. On arrival we were greeted very professionally and cheerily by two receptionists and booked in with Charlotte who was very helpful and offered information on the area including the carnival route and informed us of the complimentary coffee and pastries due to the restaurant closure. We were informed of the location of the room and proceeded to settle in. The room was typical PI decor and was clean and comfortable. A tea tray was provided and reception had further supplies if we needed to replenish. Room cleaning was offered due to our extended stay if required, but we didn't think this necessary. The water to the shower and basin was always nice and hot and the shower was powerful, I also took advantage of a nice soak in the bath. :) The hotel was nice and warm, which we needed after watching the parade in quite cool temperatures! Apart from some idiot knocking on our door late Sunday evening, the hotel was quiet although there is a police HQ adjacent and some sirens were heard from around 7 in the morning up to midnight. Parking was plentiful and our car reg taken to prevent any charges being administered. We would stay again if we visit the carnival again and hopefully the restaurant will be open! I would not book quite so early as I feel I ended up paying more than if I'd booked just a few days before.
i stayed at here for business trip during the extension of the existing premier inn.
Staff at reception werr professional and polite. Charlotte was on dutie the day i checked in, and provided useful information on car registration, and facilities around the hotel with Brewers faye closed ( as hotel extenstion being undertaken ).
the room are ok, typical pi, however its probably older style as there no air conditioning and windows open.
Staff are a credit to premier inn.
Bedroom area was clean and tidy but the bathroom requires some repairs with paint coming off the bath panel and the bath/shower tap not operating correctly.
Visiting a friend staying at Premier Inn Bridgwater North and Charlette was very helpful with my concerns and able to answer my questions. Further upon my arrival Charlette was dealing with an agitated and rude person, she remained professional and polite eventually solving the individuals problem leaving happy with the outcome
Shame the heating thermostat is rigged to only achieve 21⁰. Pleasant enough for the room, but leaves the bathroom chilly.
Bed comfy enough and room more than adequate for a single person or couple.
Staff pleasant and helpful. Also, a pity the restaurant is out out use because the breakfast part was important, and it would be handy to have an evening meal rather than nasty takeaways.
Awful bathroom was not cleaned no toilet roll and only 1 member of staff pay the extra and stay at the ibis just down the road
Awful. When I booked the hotel, they said the restaurant was closed. I then got an email a week later that construction work was going on between 8am - 6pm. Had i have known, I would not have booked it and they wouldnt let me cancel. The walls were wafer thin so you could everythign from other rooms and I couldnt sleep. I reported this at 8am when i got out of bed, but as this falls outside of their good nights sleep policy, they refused a refund.
Arrived on time. Greeted by a very pleasant and informative young lady. Everything explained in detail. Nice comfy room . when we left we were given their good wishes and wished a safe journey. A genuine and kind gesture. Thank you
Lovely staff, clean comfy room and free parking. Restaurant was closed due to being refurbished but was made aware before booking. A limited complimentary breakfast and coffee got us ready for the day ahead and when the pastries ran out staff got us more straight away. Over heard people complaining about the limited breakfast but it does state on the website and it is COMPLEMENTARY so they don’t even need to provide it. Felt very bad for the lady on the desk as she was really sweet and greeted everyone that came through with a smile!
A very good room. Very comfortable. Easy free parking. Easy access to the highway. Excellent friendly efficient staff, especially Charlotte on reception.
Room not very clean. Restaurant closed so said would provide pastries but none available. No toilet tissue at all in the room. Only one bath towel but 2 people
We had an awful stay at this Premier Inn. It was filthy dirty. I had tea stains on my bed covers, the carpets were filthy, dirt on the bathroom floor, cobwebs on the bedside lamps and a hoover and rubbish bag left outside our door. Not the standards we expect from Premier Inn and we have been staying in their hotels for years.
I definitely wouldn't recommend a stay here!
With no available parking spaces on site and staff who would or could not advise on where else to park, I decided that I couldn't stay at the hotel. The area is surrounded by private parking areas and threats of fines for non-compliance, but Premier Inn are not interested in helping their guests resolve this. It's also a down market hotel, needing refurbishment and it certainly doesn't not look like it does in the pictures. If price is your main consideration, you may want to take the risk.
I was not eligible for a refund, but no compromise was offered by 'customer relations' who were keen to quote statements on their site like 'limited' parking rather than try to resolve my grievance.
