An excellent couple of nights whilst going to teo consecutive concerts at the Civic Hall, which was within easy walking distance.
The staff were friendly and efficient, the breakfasts were very good, and the room was clean, comfortable (and delightfully cool).
Hotel was excellent, quiet, everything worked, no complaints whatsoever. Lovely staff.
But the bar was another matter. Went in on day one for a couple of pints before going back to my room for tv and sleep.
But it was very odd. A woman was dashing about, but wouldn't make eye contact or say anything. Eventually got served, repeated for a second time for pint 2.
But day 2 was really weird, I waited for 17 minutes to be served. Believe me - I watched the clock behind the bar slowly go round.
2 men came in and waited patiently to get served - they gave up after 15 minutes and left.
There was hardly anyone in the place.
Really odd.
Funnily I didn't go in on my last night of my 3 day stay.
Location was good and the rooms were clean and the hotel staff were friendly but wow the restaurant and bar was terrible waiting to get service was awful one minute she’s at the bar then off to clean tables while I was standing there surly she could have served a pint first then go to clean the tables this went on and on
Awesome service , perfect room and good food also the chef Gita made the most delicious pizza I ever had
Handy for the railway station and city centre. Lovely, comfortable room and bed. Really nice staff. Tea and coffee making facilities in room. There was a shower and a bath.
restaurant staff both in the evening and at breakfast , although very busy found time to smile and be pleasant/helpful. shout out to Tracy who was in reception offering assistance on arrival and in the restaurant in the evening giving 5 star service. although my room was overlooking the station surprisingly there was not any noise in the room and had an excellent nights sleep. 3rd June 2026.
Jade the lady working in the breakfast/dinner area was lovely, very helpful, made you feel really at home and super fast service....overall a lovely lady
This hotel is not perfect but the location, price and staff make it a perfect place to stay. The staff )especially Jade) well jolly and fun to interact with. Nothing was too difficult for them and the stay was everything we needed.
Stayed a week for a reset. The room was clean and comfortable, and I felt very secure with the keycard system. However, the check-in experience let it down. There was no greeting, no check if I needed breakfast or parking, and it felt cold and transactional. I was also asked why I was staying, which felt unnecessary and intrusive — I’d paid for the room and was being respectful of other guests, so that question wasn’t appropriate.
What made it worse was reception switching to a different language while discussing guests at the desk — it made the whole experience feel unwelcoming and unprofessional. The room itself also felt like it hadn’t been updated to the same standard as newer Premier Inn rooms I’ve stayed in, with no USB sockets and older tech.
That said, Kelly on reception was brilliant. Friendly, helpful, and genuinely didn’t judge — she just saw me for who I was and we had a good chat outside. She was the nicest person I met there, and interactions like that make a real difference.
It’s basic hospitality to make guests feel at ease, not uneasy. A 3-star for me — fine room, but the service and consistency need work.
Hotel room as expected. Good service at breakfast. Fiona is the only staff member in the evening, managing food orders, delivering food and serving the bar. I honestly don't know how she does it. More bar staff needed.
Lovely reception staff keeping a smile whilst working in tired conditions.
Room smelt of bananas , soap and shower gel (Bayliss and Harding) watered down, and I was refused breakfast because I hadn't prepaid.
£151 and £8.50 for car parking - should have stayed at Novotel instead.
I have stayed at this hotel many times.(There is little choice in Wolverhampton and Premier Inn is the most conveniently located.) The Hotel is as expected for a Premier Inn, clean, reasonably decorated and with a good comfortable bed. Reception staff are usually polite and efficient. There have sometimes been difficulties with the computer system as it seems not to allow for meals to be served for just part of the stay. The Restaurant and bar were formally pleasant and reasonably staffed. In the past year or so there have been frequent staff changes on the restaurant and there has only been 1 staff member to serve drinks, order food and sometimes prepare deserts and wait on tables. The restaurant and bar are need several more staff as there are long waits for customers and customers have left the premises as they have been unable to be served. I have spoken to other customers who have said that they would stay at Novotel in future ( the other hotel in central Wolverhampton) as the service on the bar and Restaurant at Premier Inn had spoiled their stay.
⭐ 1 Star
Absolutely disgusting experience.
Last night alone I killed four flies before going to bed, and another six were in the room when I woke up this morning. Wondering where they were coming from, I checked around the window and found dozens of dead flies, along with many more still alive. It was clear this wasn’t a one-off incident but an ongoing problem that had not been properly dealt with.
I reported the issue to the duty manager, Lenzi, and was shocked by the response. She was rude, dismissive and completely unapologetic. She couldn’t even be bothered to come and inspect the room for herself.
When I gave the booking name as Chris, she abruptly corrected me and demanded the full name. After I said Christopher, her response was, “That’s better.” Most people would understand that Chris is short for Christopher, but instead of trying to help, she seemed more interested in being awkward and argumentative.
The condition of the room was unacceptable, and the attitude of management was even worse. Customer service appears to be non-existent here.
I would 100% avoid staying at this hotel unless you enjoy sharing your room with flies and dealing with management who simply don’t care.
Was given early checkin , warm welcoming staff , allocated accessible room which was lovely looked refurbished? Room large ,super clean and very cool and comfortable good design to room , breakfast was really good , hotel was quiet and great location direct from inside station through walkway to hotel also very close to town
Good location, food was lovely. Need more staff for evening meal , breakfast was good. Lift needed sorting. Good and fast check in
Premier inns have declined in quality and value for money recently.
The beds are no longer comfortable since they stopped using Hypnos beds. Rock hard mattress and uncomfortable cheap foam pillows.
The reception staff were rude and unhelpful and should not be employed in customer facing roles.
The room was clean and the breakfast ok, but there are plenty of better hotel alternatives available for a similar price.
Great location near the station with easy, affordable parking. Excellent facilities and friendly staff. The rooms were clean and spacious and quiet at night.
Nice customer service by Leon
We had a lovely stay, rooms were comfortable, food was nice. The staff were friendly, our server Jade was polite and very helpful, we very much enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend.
Standard Premier Inn layout, but an interesting location within the site of the former Great Western Railway Wolverhampton Low Level station yard. If you arrive at the current station, be aware that there is a tunnel that takes you direct to the Premier Inn. This is a much shorter route than recommended by Google Maps.
