When we arrived at near 8pm we were told that we would be in room 8 which was down stairs ,on entering our room we found the window had been left open and the room was really cold .The room was really in poor state with paint flaking of the walls ,scratches to the walls ,some of the lights did not have bulbs in them (at bed side ) the carpets were really dirty and the bathroom like the bedroom had paint flaking of the walls and generally needed cleaned .
I have stayed here a few times before in different rooms and really had no issues ,it was as if these rooms had been forgotten .The bed and pillows were really hard making sure you had a really bad nights sleep .
It was our second time. We love the location, you can easily gain access to major retailers and fast food restaurants if you so which. Rooms are quite affordable.
We booked as a one night half way stay , whilst travelling to north Aberdeenshire.
The journey should have taken 3.5 hours from Manchester but ended up taking 9.5 hours due to the M6 being fully closed after an accident.
We were glad to eventually reach the hotel and were greeted by friendly and accommodating staff.
The room was up to the usual premier inn standards , the bed was super comfy and after a beer I slept like a log.
The WIFI was flaky, but after our journey I wasn’t too bothered.
The adjoining pub/restaurant was closed for refurbishment and,in the morning ,we were provided with complementary fruit, pastries and coffee for breakfast, which was a nice touch.
The hotel did its job ,for us ,and I would happily use again.
Very friendly staff
Stayed for one night on business and although I knew the hotel had no air conditioning prior to arrival, I wasn’t prepared for the heat that met me when I walked into room 201.
It was a lovely 26c and increased during my stay to a tropical 28c with the small fan circulating hot air nicely.
The window would only open around 2 inches and the view of the pub opposite was something to behold. Broken fences and empty canisters made it look derelict
The room was next to a door that was constantly being opened and closed throughout my stay and the carpets in the hallways wouldn’t mind a vacuum !
Typical of all Premier Inns at the moment, the WiFi was woeful.
Wouldn’t stay here again as the only positive feature was the EV charging point
Avoid
The bathroom was compact and
There is no air conditioning and it was 28 degrees in the room overnight. The tiny window that opened overlooked a dual carriageway and it was very noisy. The pub to have breakfast smelt musty. Don’t go here - there are other hotels in Glasgow with air conditioning - go there!
Fabulous little hotel, love a premier inn and will definately be staying here again in future! Friendly staff, great rooms, great food!
This hotel is in a very convenient location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was incredibly warm, so they assisted us with relocating to a basement room that was a few degrees cooler.
Darci helped me with everything I needed and was amazing to chat to. Very friendly staff and she made sure my room was spotless.
Disappointed by this Premier Inn. Nothing like the previous ones we’ve visited. Staff were fine but the facility needs a lot of TLC. Parking was limited but we did find a space (the last available one). Room 119 was sooo hot it was uncomfortable to sleep in and a concern for our 18month old. The window was open on arrival and there was a desk fan that had been left on in the room but this did nothing. Toilet seat had a urine stain at the front where cleaning hadn’t been carried out thoroughly and the dust on the fire extinguisher in the main corridor was that thick our toddler left a handprint In it when he grabbed it whilst walking past. We only had 1 thin pillow each so we ended up folding them over in half as we normally have 2 each. But the bedding was otherwise comfortable and clean. There was a crack in the ceiling above the shower and the ceiling plaster was becoming damp. At check-in the staff member said the computer was going that slow he was having to do it all on his phone (personal or work phone we don’t know!).
The room was very outdated and rusty. Noise was constant—I barely slept over three nights. I strongly advise finding another hotel. This is by far the worst Premier Inn I’ve ever stayed in
Stayed at this premier inn for the last few months. The staff have been excellent with any requests regarding food or room allocation.. In between this time I was sent to Stepps but as they were not serving food Darci who works at Cumbernauld came to stepps and found me the nearest Premier Inn who was offering food, she also phoned ahead and placed my food order which was above and beyond. I also have to especially mention Karen who has always made sure my table reservations are always made and room allocated to preferred room.
As always can be relied on to be clean and tidy and rooms to be of same standard, when going to a place unknown, it’s not a bad thing. Loads around to eat or shops if needed.
The Premier Inn is a great value for your money. It is a no frills hotel that is centrally located between Glasgow and Edinburgh. The staff are very friendly and the accommodations are fine. It is near some eating places, a grocery store and about a 25 minute walk to the nearest train station.
Stayed for 1 night with family for the 2 rangers game ideal location everything handy on Saturday 26th July lovely hotel Karen on reception was very nice helpful and chatty would stay again xx
Really enjoyable staff at the Premier Inn Cumbernauld. Rooms although but dated are comfortable enough. Staff very friendly and the restaurant serves a great breakfast. Definitely worth a visit
This is a below average premier inn. To be fair it was the hottest day of the year and they didn’t have air con, so the rooms were boiling hot. We did have fans but it’s just pushed hot air round,
The quality of the rooms are below average - hole in the bathroom wall, curtain falling off its rail. The smoking area is the first thing to great you, at the bottom of the ramp for the entrance so it stinks as you go in.
The evening staff member was lovely but the one as we left in the morning hardly acknowledged us.
I wouldn’t go again.
A great location with plenty of food spots and amenities close by for you to either Travel into Glasgow or simply stay for a stop gap on a long drive, friendly staff and clean rooms are the main points of interest with the staff members giving not only local food recommendations but advising me and my colleague on local events and things to visit whilst in the local area was a real touch of class. Relatively modern interior decor to the rooms makes you stay nice and comfortable with large and comfortable beds in each and every room. The adjoining breakfast is a great selection with fast and friendly service provided throughout our entire one week stay.
Ample parking, which is free of charge for hotel guests is available
If I am ever in the area again for Work or pleasure, I will be definitely staying here as it’s not only live up to expectations but surpass them
Great hotel and friendly staff. Restaurant does the best breakfast with an all you can eat option. The manager Iain is happy to help with any issues and makes you feel welcome. I would recommend staying here to anyone travelling to Glasgow or Edinburgh.
I have never stayed in a Premier Inn before, but after seeing the adverts I thought I would break up my journey with a stay. Check in was fine, but when getting ready for bed, untucking the quilt the duvet was visible and was disgusting. It looked to be stained with faeces. I went to reception and the lady apologised and went to the room and said she would change the duvet. She did change the sheets but the duvet was replaced with an equally stained one. So it was not a restful night sleep as at this point it was so late I had to sleep without the duvet. I was due to stay there on the way back to break up my journey again, I had paid a non refundable rate, but decided to drive straight home. I couldn't face the thought of staying at this Premier Inn again.
