So noisy with drunk people , then police arriving 2 am in the morning making arrests , lots of screaming etc , so very disturbed rest
Staff were fab very helpful and friendly. Rooms were spotless and comfortable. All positive comments breakfast was good value and enjoyable.
The Premier Inn at Caerphilly is a very pleasant place to stay on the outskirts of the town. Although it is just off a busy road junction the rooms were quiet.
The room that we had was large, clean and well decorated but above all the bed was super comfy. The bathroom was clean and bright, the shower was powerful with plenty of hot water and toiletries were provided.
We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful also very talkative.
We paid for the full breakfast option and it was worth the extra cost as it was well cooked and plentiful, a great selection of fruit, cereal's and cooked food to order. There is a Toby Carvery next to the Premier Inn for an evening meal if required.
I would recommend this Inn for a stay in Caerphilly.
Premier Inns are Really showing there age and a real lack of maintanace inside and outside.
Active Black Mould in the bedroom is never good to see. But to be told its because of trees 10 feet away, is kind of taking the P.
Stayed at this premier inn for many years now , we always get a warm welcome from Vicky , Leanne and Ian , quiet location , plenty of parking spaces , bus stop located at the side of the hotel takes you into Caerphilly and Cardiff , Toby carvery onsite , the hotel breakfast is delicious thanks to Ryan the chef and bev our server , what more could you ask for , it's a 10/10 from us 👍 .
We’ve stayed several times now when visiting family, and have always found it to be very pleasant. The staff are helpful and the breakfast is always good. There are plenty of other options for evening meals in Caerphilly, so the fact they don’t do food other than breakfast really isn’t an issue. It’s set off the road so isn’t too noisy, and the lack of air con isn’t an issue. (We stayed at another Premier Inn further north later the same week, where it very much was!!)
Reasonably priced, we’ll be back again (and again!)
This is a good budget hotel. They are easy to find and the staff was friendly. The room was nice and clean. They served a nice breakfast with a variety of food. They do not have a bar or food available only a snack machine.
I am not a building inspector or a WiFi fanatic but our stay was great! so I didn't inspect the room with a fine toothed comb and tape measure or use ookla speed test to check download speeds!, the price for our stay was acceptable, we used the room to watch TV on an evening when we got back, made tea and coffee, if we ran out we went to reception for more, no issues! then sleep in a comfy bed, so comfy we ordered a premier inn mattress for home, which we love!, the breakfast was great, yes it is only a breakfast room but the chefs and the servers were so funny and pleasant, we had lots of laughs with them, one of the night porters Ian knows where we come from as he used to travel to play at one of our local social pubs, so got on with him really well!. all in all a perfect place to lay your head when visiting Caerphilly, we stay here twice a year for a few days after a 5 hour drive to visit family, have tried the other PI in the town with adjoining pub, this one is far more pleasant. so the haters who give low reviews, you are just too picky or professional whingers!
Can't fault the hotel, bedroom was comfy food in the restaurant really nice, The staff were really friendly, only issue was going on holiday with a 10 year and the Wifi was none existent in the hotel room made it a difficult weekend. Other residents mentioned the same issue we could have paid for the premium wifi upgrade but we were warned off by others telling us not to bother. Not a happy weekend for him, apart from that great place to stay
Excellent very helpful staff
Room was very clean
Only issue was no hair dryer
Staff explained how to register your car in car park so you didn't get charged
Very quiet and comfortable in need of a bit of TLC the bathroom floor has rotted in places we were in room 23.
There is also evidence of floor dipping in room area too. Where skirting and floor is a gap.
Premier Inn Caerphilly
The Premier Inn was used when we were attending a concert in Cardiff in July '25. It was easy to get in and out of the city with a useful location. The hotel was clean and well presented, with an easy check in and friendly staff. On returning after the concert, staff were present and welcoming again.
However, we did stay during the heatwave and the hotel does not have any air conditioning, though a fan is provided, but as a result the hotel did not cool down.
Overall, we would return to the hotel if we were returning to Cardiff.
Wonderful service especially Lianne on reception ...Shame they don't do evening food though Toby next door.........
Lovely friendly hotel. Location is perfect for where we needed to be.
Clean hotel and staff very helpful.
We didn't have food but there is a toby carvery next door and breakfast in the hotel is available too.
Hotel was reasonable, cleanliness could have been better and some of the furnishings had seen better days. Bed was as expected for Premier Inn but with no air con and restricted windows the room got very warm. Staff however were lovely - Cara (think this was her name - purple hair!) was a joy and made our stay. Overall hotel was ok but needs some refurbishing!
A nice, peaceful and quiet nights sleep, followed by buffet breakfast the following morning. Ian on reception makes the whole practice of checking in so very easy, then found him at breakfast cleaning tables, greeting guests, seating guests and portraying an element of calm while his legs are doing the duck dance out of sight. Serene and calm, that's Ian. We stay here between 4 and 6 times a year, he even recognised us as we arrived.
Important for me to come back to Caerphilly to visit Thornhill.
Sandra and I have been made to feel welcome each time. The politeness and banter are great. Will only stay there each time we come back to Caerphilly.
Thank you so much, Lianne, Bev, Daz, and Ryan.
See you again soon.
Thank you again.
Sandra and Derek.
Clean rooms and bathroom and the friendliest and most helpful staff anywhere. They make you feel so welcome.
Nothing was too much trouble for them and all the staff were the same. Made you glad you stayed there.
Would always go to this Premier Inn. They do a lovely breakfast too.
This morning, we came down for breakfast only to be abruptly told by the staff member on duty that we couldn't have any because it hadn't been pre-booked. The night before, we specifically asked about this and were assured we could book in the morning.
While I completely understand the need to manage numbers, the attitude of the staff member was shockingly rude and showed no regard for customer service. As a result, Premier Inn has not only lost the revenue from three breakfasts today but also five more tomorrow, as we have decided not to book anything further at this hotel.
It’s disappointing that such a poor experience and dismissive attitude have completely tainted our stay.
5 star breakfast in this premier Inn. The staff are super Lovely and friendly. Me and my daughter love coming here for breakfast with our friends. They accommodate to our every need and can't do enough for us. Daz the chef makes a banging breakfast I must say.
