One bath towel 2 adults? Blocked sink? Charged 15 pounds to check in an hour early when we booked 2 rooms for 3 nights. If you need to stay in this area it has a restaurant on site , it’s ok but not geat
Premier Inn is always a quality experience. This one is perfectly placed to visit family. After a 6/7 hour drive a room with an assured night’s sleep is very welcome. The shower was outstanding - spacious, easy controls and up to heat immediately.
Value for money & exceptional staff.
Great location.
In process of renovation but no disturbance caused during our stay.
Lovely, super friendly staff, both in reception and the breakfast room. excellent value for money, everything you could possibly want or need. Room was spotless, breakfast absolutely fantastic, cooked to perfection by a lovely friendly lady. Reception staff were so helpful, letting us know nice places to visit.
Will definitely be staying again and would recommend to all.
I stayed here last weekend. Hotel is dated could do with a good refurb, I don't know the last time the windows were cleaned they were very dirty indeed. I stayed on the 1st floor above the Slug and lettuce which was quite noisy on the Saturday night. Breakfast was amazing
This is the second time I have been to this Premier Inn. Its clean and comfortable. Location is perfect in the town centre. Despite being in the town there is little external noise so its quiet. Parking in St Johns nearby was very easy and also reasonably priced; I wish more towns and cities were so easy and sensibly priced. The staff were very helpful and friendly .Will go again
Absolutely lovely. Was greeted with a smile when we walked and and every staff member was happy and polite an each one spoke to you as you went passed!
Extremely helpful on reception, Bridget is a credit to your company, very polite and welcoming nothing too difficult.
The hotel itself is a good location, although inside is a bit old and creaky.
I was allocated room 405 with my partner. On arrival we heard an extremely loud noise coming from a door opposite our room which was marked private. It sounded like a laundry room, so we assumed the noise would stop during the rest of our stay. We quickly got changed after check in, and left the hotel at 15.30. We spend the night in Newcastle at City Hall, and had food and drinks. We returned to the hotel around midnight to hear the noise was still ongoing from the room. The only person in reception was security. My partner and I attempted to drown out the noise and attempted to sleep. Unfortunately, as the night went on, the noise was so obvious and unbearable. It completely affected our sleep. As it got later and later it became pointless even attempting to request a room change, which didn't seem possible anyway due to only security being in the reception area.
This experience ruined my partners birthday, and room 405 should be put out of use if the private room continues to be used.
Staff at this Premier Inn were so helpful and friendly. We had booked an early check-in and requested a ground floor room near to reception. B9th requests were met.
Bridget on reception was very welcoming and despite a very short window to get our room ready, everything was clean, neat and comfortable.
Food at the Blue Cap was excellent too!
Premier inn at Newcastle Quayside. Lovely refurbished room. Clean and comfortable with a lovely view of the river and the glass house ( formerly the sage ) . There were new cocktails to try and eager and attentive staff. Nothing was too much trouble at breakfast and food was cooked to order perfectly.
I came back to the hotel bar for drinks after my concert and the building may be old but it’s so full of character with lots of the old features of the building still in place . More atmosphere than some of the newer build premier inns I have stayed in down south. Over all I loved my 1 night stay and can’t wait to do it again.
I stay at several Premier Inn hotels around the country for work and am always treated like a valued customer. The staff at Newcastle under Lyme though are the best of all of them. I stayed there this week and had to add an extra night. The website is not a lot of help but Bridget sorted the invoice receipts, even offering to bring them to me while I had breakfast. That is over and above what is usual. The staff at the Brewers Fayre next door are also just as friendly and helpful and the best of all of the adjoined pubs too.
La chambre était bien, et le personnel était à l’écoute et très gentil
Fantastic stay, lovely rooms. A big shout out to Amanda for making my stay so enjoyable. Thank you, will definitely be back again
I looked at the reviews but knew it was being updated. We were given a newly updated room with river view then our shower broke. So responsive and quickly moved us to another updated room with a river view which had an even better view.
We did the breakfast and updated to evening meal deal.Food was good and good selection.
The venue of the Hotel was amazing just by the Tyne fantastic walk out along the bridges.
The staff were amazing, it was an extremely busy hotel all three nights with business groups, workers and travellers.
They just worked so hard to presentation professional service even when you could see their capacity was stretched at times.
Would recommend this Priemer Inn highly.
There always seems to be an issue at this hotel. I have been on at least three occasions where I have booked the meal deal and when I have come down for the evening meal I get told there's no chef. No one mentioned anything when checking in or gave me a refund. I have also booked a premium room twice now and then not been given one.
We stayed for the weekend of the half marathon.
A super welcome from the front of house team. Very warm and accommodating.
Comfy bed. Clean room. Large bath tub with lots of hot water.
Convenient and good value bar and restaurant next door.
Nice and quiet so we were well rested for race day.
Stayed for two nights. Electricity failed both mornings from 6am onwards for hours which also meant no water for washing, showers or to flush toilets. Also no breakfast available. Despite not being able to shower on either morning, I appreciate exceptional things happen. Spoke to Premier Inn customer service and not offered a refund or compensation desipte not having received the basic level of service one would expect of a hotel. Extremely unhappy and disappointed from national brand you would hope you can trust. They simply wanted to blame someone else and not take responsibility.
Wouldn't have an evening meal here unless you have over 4 hours available to eat. Need more staff (more than 3). QRMachine not working.
The staff were very helpful with issues that arose due to parking. Very friendly and very informative. The manager sorted the parking issue immediately
