We’ve just returned from a three night stay at this hotel, and we really enjoyed it. I had asked in advance for a quiet room on the first floor, and thats exactly what we got. Yes, the room could do with an upgrade. There is a lack of electric sockets, including usb ports, the wall mounted heater was a bit rusty, as were a couple of the bathroom fittings, but overall we were very comfortable. Breakfast in ‘The Social’ was up to the usual standards, with the hot offering cooked to order, which is always better than buffet style. However, the overwhelming take away from our stay is how lovely the staff are. They are so friendly and helpful and a big asset to Premier Inn. Izzy in particular made our stay, and she deserves a special award. We will return.
The toilet had not been clean d as there was hairs and urine stains around the rim and back of the toilet. The coffee mugs were stained and there was a stain in the quilt cover.
I am writing to express my disappointment with my stay at your hotel yesterday. Unfortunately, several issues impacted the comfort and quality of my visit.
Firstly, the thermostat in my room was not functioning properly. Each time we set it to maintain a comfortable temperature, it would reset itself and switch off. As a result, we woke up to an extremely cold room, which made the night very unpleasant.
In addition, the pillows provided were extremely uncomfortable and left me with significant neck pain the following morning. This added further discomfort to an already difficult night’s sleep.
I am bringing these concerns to your attention in the hope that they can be addressed promptly, both for future guests and in consideration of the experience I had during my stay.
Thank you for taking the time to review my feedback. I would appreciate a response regarding how this matter will be resolved.
A great convenient place for visiting Whitstable. Lovely staff and a tasty breakfast.
There's a regular bus into town.
The Hotel was as usual Brilliant, The evening meal was Horrendous, It was our wedding Anniversary, my wife and myself was really Disappointed , The Food, Where do I start, The menu was very limited and Basic is an understatement, All microwaved, No Taste, we had one forkful and that was all we ate,, The poor staff were embarrassed removing our plates,
Whitstable Harbour, great food, pubs shops and more is 30 mins walk from Whitstable Premier Inn, but a stay here is worth it! As is a sunset walk and supper stop off in Whitstable before a latish check in. A taxi up the hill to the hotel cost under £8.00.
The first floor corner room looked fresh and clean and the bed and pillows offered a good night’s sleep. The first floor room was near the floor’s access door which could be heard being used by other guests but the sounds were only slightly irritating.
The room came with a free breakfast deal and apparently some things were accidentally missing from the menu but plenty more was available if not vegan or vegetarian and hungry for mushrooms. Gluten free muesli and bread could be had. Tick.
Julia the restaurant manager, whom I’d seen on duty the night before, was there managing the breakfast with the same energy and grace. She is excellent and the reason for this review. A considerate employee and colleague I think. I commend all Premier Inn staff who seem to stay pleasant and polite despite frustrations from sometimes unreasonable guests.
Room 11 smelt badly of damp and clear signs of mould growing by the window. Aggravated daughter's asthma. The room issue clearly needs to be resolved and not fit for habitation let alone as a family room. We had to stay in there as hotel was fully booked but staff did move us to another room when one was available. Staff were good but room needs to be addressed asap.usually have no problems with premier inns -this experience was a one off but still a very bad experience
Lovely overnight stay, left it too late to book anywhere so was grateful for Premier Inn to be able to accommodate. While the location is not walking distance the taxi services are on hand, £5 only to get to the towns pubs and restaurants so really doesn’t make much of a difference to location. Staff are friendly especially the lovely Julia and Shatia who gave us a lovely bottle of wine for our anniversary. The breakfast was plentiful and hot and again the staff were very helpful.
Overall a lovely one night stay.
We had a great stay at the Premier Inn Whitstable. Good value for money. The staff were all very welcoming and managed to swap us to an accessible room once we realised the shower was over the bath. Breakfast in The Social was good value for money, the hot buffet items was replaced regularly along with the other items. Provided soya milk and gluten free toast on request. All the staff were very friendly and efficient.
We changed rooms as there was a problem with the ventilation and consequently there was quite an unpleasant smell in our allocated room. However, a pleasant young man in reception found us a different room which was clean and comfortable. He was also very helpful with directions.
I’d like to mention employee Izzy, who was handling an incredibly busy breakfast room on her own the following morning. She was cheerful and helpful throughout, even though she was being inundated with breakfast orders and having to clear and set tables on her own. I think someone came to help her towards the end of a very busy session.
All in all, a good night’s sleep in the wonderfully comfortable bed and a hearty breakfast the following morning. Excellent value.
We stayed two nights in a large well presented room in a quiet location on the first floor. The room appeared to be freshly decorated. Car parking is adequate and well lit. Wi-fi worked and was reliable. The only downside is lack of any lighting at the site entrance which meant I overshot it on two occasions at night!!
Have been stsying at the Pemier inn at Whitstable since it opened due to family living nearby. No complaints about friendliness of the staff, the rooms or the cleanliness of everywhere. Whe we have stayed before the food was provided by the Long Reach Beefeater next door. Excellent it was too,got to know the staff well. We were so sad to see that it was closed.
Food now provided at breakfast and evening in the Premier Inn,a much smaller restaurant, remember to book a time at the front desk. We had breakfast...excellant choice at 08.30. Evening meal we chose 18.30. Not a lot of choice, However all well cooked. Very short of staff, they seemed to be 'jack of all trades! Often leaving the restaurant to see to the front desk, and sometimes being the chef!
A very convenient bus stop 2 minutes away took us to Canterbury which saved the driving.
Friendly and genuine staff, room as you'd expect, free WiFi still not great. 'The Social' seemed empty most of the time and reminded us of a student common room, we much preferred the Beefeater which is now closed on the grounds .The entrance is full of pot holes with no lights and the old Beefeater sits empty in the darkness
Hotel is ideally located for local attractions and all staff were very welcoming and helpful, having stayed at many Premier Inns across the country the staff at this hotel were certainly up there with the best. Although the restaurant is small the breakfast was excellent and probably the best Premier breakfast we have had.All items were available and piping hot. With the restaurant being small it was much more pleasant and not crowded.
Very large property with a large free car park.
The Premier Inn Whitstable Hotel is conveniently located close to the town centre and a great base to explore Canterbury and the surrounding areas. We had breakfast both days and were very impressed with the selection of food available. The hot breakfast was replenished regularly , as were the pastries, breads etc. There was also a really good selection of tea, green and fruit teas available. My advice would be to book in the time you would like to have breakfast when you arrive as the restaurant area itself is fairly small.
Our room was comfortable and clean and there were two big fans in our room as the hotel has heating by no aircon.
The carpark gets busy but we managed to find a space on the two nights we stayed.
If you haven’t been to this hotel before you turn into car park for the disused pub called The Long Reach Tavern and drive passed it and the Premier Inn is on your left.
Good breakfast each day and great meal each day at the local Pub next door.
I have used premier inn several times now around the country, this was by far the worst hotel yet, especially as the beefeater side of the restaurant was closed down and the so called in-house restaurant only had small selection of meals and had I have known this I would never have booked this hotel.
I also think that that the standard of the rooms has slipped, bathroom not very clean, bedroom looked a bit dingy, also we could hear the people in the room above moving around all the time.
Welcoming staff, easy check in. Clean aired room. Clean sheets and towels. Good facilities. Comfortable bed, extra pillows if required. Good choices for breakfast. Enjoyed our 4 day stay.
We stayed at the Whitstable Premier Inn for two nights in August. The room was filthy there was old food on the floor, wrappers under the bed food stains on the bed. There was a stain which looked like dried blood or excrement on the sheets of one of the beds. The staff were all lovely and friendly and did come to change the sheets. I found my toddler with a bit of fried food in their mouth and they gave me an earing. It is not the consistent standard you expect of a Premier Inn. This Premier Inn does not air conditioning we were provided 2 fans but the room did not get below 27 degrees whilst we were there.
