Situated on the Dover seafront, close to the town adjacent the Ferry terminal. From (J13) of the M20 follow the A20 for 8.5 miles. Next to the Marine Court Table Table.
Room was far too hot, we had the window open and the desktop fan in the room on, it was still 25degrees in the morning. There is a lot of road traffic noise all night. So we had an awful nights sleep. Other guests were not considerate, banging from adjoining room and guest in room above us woke us at 0400 stomping around. We have stayed here several times before, it will be the last time now as there is always a problem. Hotel is starting to look very shabby.
Great hotel with excellent sea views and nice staff and very good service.Convienient restaurant next door with filling breakfast.
Was nice lovely staff nice room nice size bathroom but tv is old not smart no apps was a sock have take to stars away but if you don’t care about apps tv it be lovely nice place
Lovely reception staff Lee friendly and helpful
Room fantastic over looking harbour
Felt safe and secure travelling on my own
2 nightshift lads lovley also
Lovely warm welcome from the staff, the minute we arrived. All our queries were answered and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay the best it could be.
We look forward to visiting again!
If you're at the front of the hotel you're likely to get a sea view, especially on a higher floor. Or if you're at the back, as I was, you'll get a nice 'white cliffs' view! Friendly staff and no issues at all during a nice one night stay.
Clean quiet room
I always booked premier inn for my family. I always booked 2 family room, but this is the first time they arrange 2 of the family rooms right next to each other, I am surprised by their sweet arrangement ,that’s makes an easier stay.
The free breakfast is such a good deal during term break.
The room is clean and tidy as usual,I was shocked by the nice sea view of the room, I will come again definitely!
Had a comfortable bed and good sleep in a quiet room, delicious & non-greasy breakfast, smiling, friendly and helpful customer service. Closest distance to walk to both the White Cliffs of Dover and Dover Castle. All at a good price too. Thank you!
What a fantastic location and hotel .
We were visiting mainland Europe so planned an overnight stop off before departing for France in the morning.
Easy to find the parking space upon arrival.
Everything was absolutely perfect.
Louise the manageress and her team were so so friendly and super helpful.
Nothing at all was too much trouble or effort for Louise or her team .
The location is perfectly suited to the nearby Ferry Terminal in Dover or Eurotunnel a few miles away .
We had a lovely spacious room which was immaculately presented and spotlessly clean .
Our room benefited from a sea view which really was the highlight of the stay .
We will definitely return to Dover Central again.
Massive recommendation to anyone wanting to stay in this area or for an overnight stop before heading to Europe.
Again a huge thank you to Louise and her team .
We can’t wait to come back .
Absolutely Fabulous

This was our second stay at the Dover Central. It was a comfortable and pleasant break with good sleep quality and ease of access. We were in an accessible room (Number 4), and it was spacious and the accessible shower room was really well laid out. The room was quiet, and the temperature control was good. There was also loads of hot water. The parking on site was a reasonably priced extra, and was more than offset by the free breakfast booking deal we recieved. The 3 pm check-in is pretty strictly held, but we didn't need to wait long after our arrival.
Dinner great. Breakfast good. Only problem I had this time was the room was too hot and you couldn’t cool it down so poor sleep all round. Had the fan (provided in room) turned on and didn’t feel anything at all from it. We always have had a great night sleep with premier inn
Short stay on our way to France, on arrival check in was easy, the friendly receptionist helped us book a table for the restaurant, the room was clean, the view from the room of the harbour was a nice point, The meal in the restaurant was pleasant,
I arrived early for check in, it was handy l was able to store my luggage and explore what Dover had to offer,
Check in was quick and easy, the room was clean and comfortable, the seaview added to the experience, The restaurant, was handy just next door,
Me and my family stayed overnight and were greeted by friendly staff. After a long journey we were able to check in and go to our room which was spacious and clean and tidy and warm. We came down to dinner in the resteraunt and were greeted by more friendly staff. Food was good value and did the job. After having a bath and a goods night sleep we came down for breakfast which was all you can eat and plenty of it. The rest of my family enjoyed their stay and can't wait to come back.
A lovely check in and friendly team.
Tracy cleaned our room, it’s beautifully done.
I will return as it’s right near the port with an excellent view.
The staff at the premier inn, marine parade in dover made us feel at home. They were sympathetic and understanding and always took time to listen to us. They made us comfortable and treated us like we were part of the family. It was small things where they were attentive and took notice of us. We were there for several months due to losing our home through fire. Not once did we hear them complain and we noticed they work as a team. They were always asking if we are ok and saying good morning to us. They kept asking if there is anything we need. Also they let us have privacy, they didn't keep knocking on our door to change the room but they just said if we need it to ask. We left there on the 23rd of October and it felt like we were leaving family behind. Overall I would say they really looked after us and they all deserve a big bonus.
Hotel was lovely, but when you need to speak to anyone there was no one on the front desk. We came home and unfortunately left my husband’s glasses behind. There is no one to call and ask whether they had been found or not only an email address that never gets answered.
As others have said, make sure you ask or pay the extra for a room on the harbour side. The other side is not particularly pleasant.
Staff were pretty good, the young man checked me in himself using the pointless self check in desk. I was in my room within 3 mins of entering the building.
Breakfast looked all in order, although it's about time orange juice was put back on the menu.
Try to get top floor if you can. I was on the 2nd floor of three. Sounded like an elephant on the top floor clomping around non stop at 6am. Felt like they could burst through the ceiling.
Room was decent and clean.
About a 20 min walk from Dover Priory station and a 10 min walk from the main bus stops in Pencester Road.
Stayed for a weekend away on a special deal.
Breakfast here is exceptionally good, porridge just right, sausages well browned, I cannot fault the breakfast! Usual comfy bed, only downside was dinner on first night, the staff try and seat everyone in a small area to save themselves a few steps, and you may end up on a table with people continually walking past very close to you on three sides! We ate elsewhere on the second night.
One bit of advice, it is well worth paying the small supplement for a harbour facing room. As well as the view, there is virtually no traffic on that side. If you don't, you will get a room at the back, with the dual carriageway leading to the docks right beneath your windows. The ferry operation is 24/7, so don't expect a quiet night!
