Found the pillows a bit too hard for my liking. Very clean room. 3 beds in family room.. 1 double 2 singles. Plenty of tea and coffee in room. Lovely comfy bed.
Fan in bathroom very loud. Overall good clean comfy roo.
Have stayed at quite a few Premier Inns and enjoyed our stay here, however I agree with some previous reviews that the hotel is pretty tired and must be due for a refurbish. The soap dispenser in the bathroom was disgustingly rusty and had not be cleaned. I was going to report this on check out but there was no sign of anyone on reception at the time and no response when the bell was rung! Not good at a time when most people would be checking out. Comfortable enough. It's saving grace were it's lovely staff both in the hotel and the Beefeater next door.
The room had a pronounced musty and mouldy smell, which made the stay uncomfortable. Despite informing reception, no alternative room was available, and the only solution offered was a spray bottle of “Daily Odour Eliminator” to mask the odour rather than address the cause.
While a gesture of goodwill was offered in the form of a complimentary breakfast, this was unfortunately not suitable due to dietary restrictions.
Using the odour eliminator only masked the issue temporarily, and by late evening we resorted to leaving the window open and the door ajar to ventilate the room.
By morning, the smell remained noticeable, so we decided to leave two and a half hours earlier than planned, as the room remained unpleasant to stay in.
Breakfast venue dated and not very clean. Found a large black hair among my bacon, couldn't finish it. Was offered another but didn't have the stomach for it
Stayed at many Premier Inns and they have all been pretty consistent. This one feels a little tired and in need of some TLC. It's saving grace was it's staff, those that we met, who were very pleasant and welcoming. Afraid the bathroom left a lot to be desired, in particular the soap dispenser which was dirty and very rusty and was the same in my son's room. Would not cost much to replace them. Didn't really want to use it to be honest. Otherwise OK but I have stayed in better..
Room had a wet mouldy smell, didnt get any better with airing out.
The hotel is located in a industrial area
Bathroom was worn but not the worst.
The food at the connected resturant was bland but they had great understanding of gluten free.
Overall was okay but wouldnt stay here again, especially at the price point.
Staff were polite and check in was effortless, however the entire hotel is tired looking and in dire need of modernisation and refurbishment. This seems to be symptomatic of many Premier Inn's these days with a clear lack of investment over a long period of time.
Had three rooms booked out by Travellers who with the assistance of a few girls, made a lot of sexual noises and even more noises constantly moving between the rooms. I ended up leaving at 4.00 am and driving home.
The worst hotel experience I have had, anywhere.
A very quiet location on the outskirts of Ashford with a very easy link from the M20. An ideal location for an overnight stay on your way to the Ferry or Le Shuttle. Be aware that there is no food surrounding the hotel should you arrive after 10pm. The petrol station across the road appears to be 24hrs - so a convenient fill up point if you are going to Europe. Approx 20 minutes by car from the hotel to Eurotunnel.
Friendly staff, large room and comfortable bed (even if we had to search for extra pillows because there was just one each on the bed). Would have given a higher rating but breakfast left us very disappointed. We weren't told anything when we checked in but had a notice in the room saying it was open until 10:30. We were there for a wedding so had a very late night and only got to breakfast at 10:15. We knew it was a little tight timing wise so were just planning on having some pastries or other ready-made items but when we got there we were told it was closed. We weren't even given the option to grab something 'to go'. So basically we paid £22 for nothing, despite arriving during the advertised hours.
We used this particular Premier inn last year on a trip to France and found it to be exceptionally good and reasonably priced. Close to the tunnel made it a relaxed unhurried start to the holiday.
THE best Premier Inn experience ever. Uber clean, plenty of easy parking. And...the icing on the cake is the beautiful breakfast & the beautiful setting of the immaculately clean Woolpack. If Cloe is in the Woolpack, she just makes the whole experience grrrrreat. Happy days...
Staff on reception were excellent, friendly, efficient and very helpful. The room was significantly better than the Travelodge we stayed in the previous night. Bright and airy, plenty of room, my dad had a disabled room which had everything he needed. The noise between floors was also very good, even the cat that frequents the hotel was lovely. Ate at the Beefeater next door for dinner & breakfast which will be reviewed separately. Would highly recommend for a nights stay.
Another great stay at Ashford North. Very nice greeting at reception, clean room and comfy bed.
We stayed for 3 very enjoyable nights. Thank you.
As a disabled person in a wheelchair the bedroom and wetroom were all that I could have wished for. Very clean. Even fitted my hoist easily
A modern hotel, which was clean and tiday with friendly staff. Breakfast is served to you at the table, which is unusual but nice.
Love this premier inn. Great staff and rooms. Local to outlet. Visiting family and friends. Clean and spotless . Will return
I had read some pretty poor reviews about this hotel, so my expectations were pretty low. However, it was a decent price and seemed acceptable as an overnight stop before an early start the next morning.
The hotel was more or less as described in other reviews - in need of some tlc, a slight musty smell everywhere, etc., etc. All of this I was aware of when booking, so no complaints really. However, what I wasn’t expecting was the appalling state of the toilet in the bathroom - see photograph. Absolutely disgusting, and obviously not properly cleaned for some length of time. There is no excuse for expecting paying guests to accept this level of filth, not to mention the possible health risks attached!
I reported this to the front desk staff.
I’m a long time user of Premier Inn when traveling to Europe. Sadly I will not be using Premier Inn again.
Well we got there no one at the front of desk press the bell no one came, a few other people joined the waiting to checking in and pressing the bell which obviously didn’t work. Lady came out probably just finished her lunch breaks and was like did you press the bell, obviously broken. Wouldn’t go over to the beefeaters in the evening it’s just shocking. Bed is comfortable, rooms are a good size nothing is bad about this premier in just the fact we wait to be checked in and the beefeaters is rubbish in the evening
Car parking good. Location for getting to Dover ferryport in the morning also good.
BUT
Arrived at 10pm after a several hours' drive. As soon as I opened the door to the room, I was hit by the stench of damp mixed with some sort of floral air freshener. But overwhelmingly, damp.
No openable window in the room either, so no way to try to get fresh air in there.
I immediately returned to the reception but was told there were no other rooms as the place was fully booked. I was also told that several other guests had complained about the damp recently.
No suggestions on where else I could possibly sleep - helpful otherwise - were forthcoming, so I ended up sleeping in the car.
Would absolutely avoid.
