This hotel is perfectly located, right in the centre of Reading and close to many shops and restaurants. Liam on reception is very friendly and helpful. We’re looking forward to coming back again next year.
My mum and I stayed at Premier Inn Reading Central on Sat 29th November. I have stayed here a lot and have always found it to be a really lovely hotel. It is always reasonably priced considering it's prime location near the Oracle. We found a parking spot in the hotel car park and the staff let us stay here from 11am even though we couldn't check in til 3pm which was much appreciated. We were booked to eat out on the riverside in the evening but when we arrived we were really disappointed and left after 5 minutes. We ended up back at the hotel and luckily we were able to get a table so enjoyed happy hour cocktails and a really lovely meal. Special thanks to Dominika and Will who were so helpful and friendly to us. It was my mum's first visit and they ended up chatting to us like old friends. I'm so glad we came back to the hotel in the evening as it was such a lovely atmosphere and the food and drinks were great.
Easily the best Premier Inn I have stayed in. Warm welcoming team of staff. Lovely clean room and the Premier Plus room had some lovely extras. Would definitely recommend to others.
Dominika was friendly, engaging and a pleasure to deal with thank you. Another welcome stay with the team. Always make you feel nothing is too much trouble
Nice modern hotel ,ideal for exploring town. Clean with friendly staff.parking at rear but limited spaces ,we got in early both day of our stay but if full literally across the raod is a multi story.,did meal deal all very nice but cut down menu so limited choice. If you want to eat there loads of venues by the canal or in town.
This hotel is really close to the Oracle shopping centre and transport links. It took me 10 minutes by foot from Reading station, so location wise, it’s perfect.
We stayed in a Premier Plus room which has a mini fridge and a coffee machine, including ironing facilities. The hotel is very quiet and staff are very friendly and attentive.
Food is served on site so we didn’t need to go out anywhere, but there are plenty of restaurants within 2-3 minutes walk away if you’d prefer to eat out. Personally, the food at the hotel was nice and good value - so it’s worth giving it a try as it can be cheaper than going elsewhere! The bar also had good deals on cocktails and other drinks.
My partner and I stayed at the Premier Inn in Reading for two nights, and we were genuinely impressed. The location is ideall, right opposite The Oracle shopping centre and only a 10-minute walk to the train station. Getting to London was a breeze, with just a 23-minute train ride to Paddington.
From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel completely at ease. Everyone was warm and welcoming, and their friendly approach really stood out. In the evenings, Domi and Sarka were absolutely fantastic, they couldn’t do enough for us. Their conversations felt so natural, like we’d known them for years, and it was lovely to see them treating other guests with the same kindness.
The hotel itself was spotless, quiet, and very comfortable, everything you’d hope for in a relaxing stay. We’ll definitely be returning and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Reading.
Quick, friendly check-in. The twin room was clean, comfortable and well maintained. The double room was not clean or well maintained and was missing a bedside table. The shower leaked on the floor as the seals were missing and the aircon was noisy and ineffective.
Excellent service the best premier inn I’ve stayed in very clean great food value for money and best of all fantastic staff
Had a really good visit. Room was spotlessly clean. Staff were great, girls making cocktails were very friendly as were staff at breakfast and breakfast was awesome by the way.
We stay at lots of Premier Inns throughout the year for work, but this trip at Preston East was part of out Honeymoon (6 nights) using the hotel as a base, even though the hotel was being refurbished it didn't affect our stay, the staff were friendly and very helpful, and Kelly went out of her way to to make sure we had a pleasant stay, Kelly even gave us a bottle of Champagne to celebrate our wedding, one of the ladies on the night shift from Moldova was also very helpful and made sure we had all we needed when checking in, our room was up to the normal Premier Inn standard. Thanks to all.
Jane, Elena & Kelly couldn’t do enough for me. Disappointed there was no dining facilities. Comfortable spacious rooms. But overall good stay
Overall the place looked grim and uncared for. The toilets were not clean along with the rooms needing a good vaccum.
Maybe look at their cleaners and do more spot checks.
We required a single bed to also be included in our room, which was promised would be completed before our return after an evening out. On return to our room the bed was not made up, having said that the receptionist rectified this quickly.
For the price - £42 - I struggle to find fault with this place. Good bed, clean room, quiet night. Only beef is a regular one - why do Premier Inn buy hundreds of good quality beds but then buy sheets which are too small and don’t tuck in properly?!
Lovely staff, issue activating room card dealt with quickly
Location ideal for city centre but still out of the way.
10-15 mins walk to station, I had to use Google maps to find route as it is far side of city centre
All breakfast items plentiful and tasty and excellent choice/variety
Despite not expecting more than a standard PI experience and a decent night’s sleep, the staff at this hotel made it a really great stay. They were all incredibly upbeat, kind and helpful, giving a truly warm and welcoming feel.
The room was great - quiet, comfortable and dark at night. I ate in the restaurant - food fine and the staff again helpful and positive.
Made a brief stop in Reading relaxing and homely - exactly what I wanted.
Everything we needed when visiting for the football and Kelly on reception was lovely when we arrived to check in. Incredibly helpful and the box of chocolates was a lovely little touch.
What a lovely Stay I had at Premier Inn Reading Central Hotel. The staff were exceptional and breakfast really great. Keep up the great work team!
I had an amazing time staying at this premier inn, the restaurant was closed but the staff was amazing. I was surprised with a nice treat in my room and complimentary breakfast in the morning, would recommend staying here.
Sadly the drain problem was not sorted and rooms smelt of sewerage. Possibly better if we were warned of this before paying for our stay
