Situated just off M1 J28 on the A38 (signposted Mansfield), entrance to Hotel is 200 yards on left. Next to the Castlewood Brewers Fayre.
Mansfield Premier Inn is close to J28 of the M1 and makes it convenient when travelling north. The inn is clean, efficient with helpful staff. Room was clean with everything you need for an overnight stay. Restaurant next door is good with a wide ranging menu. Staff were helpful and polite in both buildings.
It’s great value for putting your head down for a night. Not a place you’d stay for anything else.
Stayed here for work no complaints about the hotel at all but the only reason for my review is Mandy the receptionist she was brilliant. She was on her own at the desk with multiple guests checking in and asking questions she attended to everyone with a smile nothing was too much trouble , she's truly a credit to the hotel. Thanks Mandy and I'll definitely be using your hotel again.
Good location next to motorway. Warm welcome. Good breakfast with descent sausages and plenty of choice. Usually premier inn beds are very comfortable and big. This one was uncomfortable and just a regular double so didn't sleep well.
Excellent hotel and staff. Breakfast was always warm and staff took care of the extra requests with ease. I would recommend this hotel and will come back to stay again.
Odore di muffa nei corridoi, la pulizia della camera va richiesta.
Personale alla reception molto disponibile e cortese.
Premier Inns generally ensures that a certain standard of quality is maintained and good quality beds are provided. Direct access to the adjacent restaurant was a bonus. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times during our short stay.
Another lovely stay in Mansfield Premier Inn! Room was really clean, spacious and comfortable. I had such a good night's sleep.
Stay was perfect mainly thanks to the friendly and helpful staff member Lily. Really nice to see a smiley chatty face after a long day at work and really helpful with any questions and requirements
Stayed at this hotel yesterday while attending a funeral . Checked in late after the funeral and wake. Mandy who was working on the reception was extremely helpful with checking in and showing me to my room .
Mandy n reception was very helpfull and couldn't do enough to help!! When I needed a phone charger. All the staff are very good also
I recently received a parking charge for my stay, after an employee failed to mention that I may need to register my car reg at their ‘free car park’.
When I walked into the reception I was immediately greeted by a member of staff who diligently taught me how to self check-in, informed me of the facilities and probably the constellation of the night sky, but not anything about the parking.
How do you even fail to mention something like that? At your hotel adjacent to a motorway? It’s honestly incredible. It was late at night too, so it’s not like I was the first person they spoke to that day.
My charge came in the post one week later.
Completely unacceptable, but here we are. Thanks for the lovely stay
The experience I had here in the room I stayed in unfortunately was awful. As soon as I opened the door there was this horrid smell, followed by the bathroom really smelly, I guess it was coming up from the drains. The shower was terrible too, no pressure whatsoever so ever. A cheap shower head. The room was dark and unwelcoming and couldn’t open the window. Unfortunately won’t be staying here again. Not clean and not tidy, can tell it’s old.
I stayed here for a couple weeks now and Lilly at the front desk has been the most helpful and kind the whole stay! Even done my washing 😝
Wonderful welcome and extremely helpful. I was dealt with by Mandy who was above friendly and ensured smooth process of getting my room ready in time.
Lady at the desk was lovely and able to help us whilst being polite. She has a great sense of humour and was able to direct us to our room
This lady deserves a 5 star rating of her very own! I am referring to Sam in the Restaurant, she was an absolute diamond at our recent stay, on Sunday 10 August, and the following morning at breakfast. The reason being she went above and beyond helping my husband and our family party. My husband has had mouth cancer diagnosed earlier this year and has very recently finished Radiotherapy, hence still very limited in his food options, generally soft foods. However, he was able to partake in a veggie option on the Sunday carvery, all thanks to Sam and the fantastic team. Would also like to thank Kelsey for her help and support as well. We were able to celebrate our 50th Golden Wedding Anniversary with our family in a low key celebration. Apologies for the delay in the feedback as we were going on holiday to Filey the following day, and the 5G coverage etc was very poor in that area.
2nd time staying here.
It's a good hotel. Rooms are clean. Good blackout curtains. Nice n quiet.
Only let downs with our room which was room 50 was it was so hot. Fan was provided but difficult to sleep with a fan whizzing all night. Also the WiFi was very hit and miss.
OK now for brewers fayre.
I don't recommend eating here. Portion sizes are more suited to kids.
I had the katsu chicken curry one evening and I'm still looking for the curry sauce. Literally a teaspoon of curry sauce on my meal which made for a very dry meal.
Luckily we were told by someone else staying there to try the snipe which is a hungry horse about a 5 minute drive. Which we did the following evening. Much much better. A bigger better menu. Better prices better food. And proper adult sized portions.
Still enjoyed our stay at the Premier Inn but if we stay In the future we will be eating elsewhere.
We were originally placed in a quad room (double and 2 singles) but due to a plumbing issue we had to be moved. The only available room was a triple however a cot was provided for our toddler. The rooms were clean, spacious and well equipped with tea/coffee facilities, tv and hairdrier. The breakfast was good (buffet) however there was a lack of dairy free options for milk alternatives and no yogurts etc for those with allergies. What really made our stay was Mandy the receptionist. She was the most pleasant, accomodating, kind and funny woman. She made our stay feel like a home from home.
Unfortunately Premier are following the trend and removing staff in favour of automation. This lack of any staff at reception has only served to lower the service recieved by Premier. Such a shame that every hotel chain seem to place salary savings over service provided.
