I think the only thing that lets Tiverton Premier Inn down is the car parking. The multi story is accessible but is costly. Also I was stung by having a parking permit stuck to my windscreen. This was because the ticket machine at 10.30 decided not to issue a ticket after an attempted payment. Consequently an over zealous park attendant stuck a notice on my screen at 7.0am.Not impressed so I think Premier Inn needs to have an agreement with Mid Devon Council about resident stays.
Arriving early in Tiverton today
Vanessa went the extra mile, helping to check me in early which was needed after a long drive
Centrally located. Room was clean and comfortable but general areas were poor with check in machine not working and lift broken
Hotel and staff were great. And room prices very good.
BUT THE PARKING IS APPALLING.
£16 to park over night in the multi-storey. Cheaper if you can park in one of the small number time limited spaces outside the adjoining council office, or a few hundred yards down the road (not great when it’s raining!!). But that requires a lot of moving from place to place, in and out of Waitrose car park for 2hrs etc. to comply with length of time your allowed to park.
We would come again, but now more aware of the VERY limited or costly parking arrangements. All are shown on the web site, but who reads that. We don’t. 🥴.
Highly recommend this hotel no problems staff extremely welcoming and nothing to much trouble hotel is amazing clean you can’t fault this hotel at all and food is fantastic and excellent value for money can’t wait to go back for Christmas
Lovely Premier inn based in the middle of Tiverton. Friendly service quality accommodation and quality food.
Car parking fees structured so overnight parking is expensive believe as it a multi storey joined to the Hotel it could be subsidised by the local council for guests of the Premier inn.
I stayed at the Premier Inn in Tiverton and was really disappointed overall — mainly because of the parking situation. Before 6pm you can’t actually pay for overnight parking, which is incredibly frustrating when you arrive earlier in the afternoon. You basically have to either wait around until 6pm, risk a ticket, or keep going back and forward to the car park. Completely unnecessary friction for guests and not what you expect in 2025 from a major hotel chain.
The restaurant also really struggled. In the evening they simply couldn’t cope with more than around 6 covers at a time — service was slow and they just looked overwhelmed. If you’re staying here, realistically don’t expect to just turn up and get fed at the hotel without delays.
Staff were polite — but the operational design is just not guest functional.
Really lovely weekend break away.
Hotel was great with its own restaurant and fabulous menu, cooked and server by friendly and professional staff.
Our room was really clean tidy.
I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.
We will be back in a few months.
So see you then, Reece and team
Has a lovely stop off on route to Cornwall. Such a lovely location easy to get to. Parking was a bit of a drama but wasn’t the hotels fault it’s a council car park which we knew before arriving. Staff were lovely and made our stay so enjoyable. Food for breakkie and dinner was lovely.
The staff were absolutely fantastic and couldn't do enough for you. Just a shame the manager wasn't so helpful. When the Wi-Fi code wouldn't work he just lunged a business card at us and told us to ring them as it was nothing to do with him and when we requested our room to be cleaned he told us we had to request this before midday and when I pointed out to him it was before midday we were politely told they only get cleaned on Day 6 of your visit.
Tegan who was shift for breakfast was absolutely amazing and even when she was rushed off her feet he just sat in the corner chatting to his mate and didn't even help. At one point there was no bread, croissants, muffins for anyone and she was desperately trying to get everything out for the customers that we actually stepped in and helped her out by topping up the fruit juices for her.
Not only that but even after her shift she ha to stay behind to put the Halloween decorations up and had to kindly ask her husband to help her so she could go home and guess where the manager was - you guessed it......just sat there watching her.
Overall the hotel was very clean and wonderful staff - but the manager needs to go
Staff don’t care service is awful food not great we witnessed loads of people complaining . We decided not to eat but waited over half hour to get a drink. Manager walks round but doesn’t help/serve anyone also he is a tad rude, don’t bother with this place! we looked and other hotels in the area cheaper and can imagine loads better than this , also £15 night parking !!
All you expect from a Premier inn , clean comfortable and easy to find.
Staff friendly and helpful. Restaurent had some dishes unavailable, in the evening, but breakfast was as good as usual.
Reasonably quiet, considering the size of the hotel. We were told that next time we visit we should park in the next door library carpark not the one adjoining the hotel as it would only cost £2 overnight, instead of the £16 it cost for 24 hours.
Hotel situated next to a car park - stayed 2 nights and cost £26 for parking in addition to room. Booking was made for work stay as dinner bed and breakfast - we were told when we arrived at 5.30pm we could only have 6.30am or 8.30am slot for breakfast and the earliest we could eat in the evening is 8.30pm!
After a very busy day working this felt too late to eat!!
When we asked to eat at 6.30pm we were advised we couldn’t. Sitting in the bar which is part of the restaurant there were x 3 tables that appeared to be booked and those x3 tables occupied six people. When we asked again if we could eat @6.30pm we were told we couldn’t. We were advised there was a new menu and they didn’t want to overwhelm the kitchen!! As it’s very difficult for the kitchen to learn a new menu. We asked to speak to the manager Reece and all he could offer was a refund of the breakfast and dinner!
I wouldn’t stay here again!! There needs to be some review of the kitchen capacity in this venue!!
Very friendly hotel, good service, clean and comfortable room. Parking was the worst part. Multi storey next door which cost £16.00 for an overnight stay.
Fantastic staff at this hotel. Best Premier Inn in the country because of the friendliness of the staff. Everything was perfect. Thank you, was a great stay
Great value for money, didn’t take long to get to Exeter for the rugby. Massive room with plenty of space, comfy bed and great in room facilities.
We had a top floor roo., fabulous, as no footsteps above us. Two quick lifts available. Very clean and tidy with exemplary staff, who were very friendly and efficient. We would stay again
Been here for a while for work purposes. Rooms are comfortable, clean and roomy. Bar/Restaurant is bit small so best to book a time for food in the evening. Food is freshly cooked and delicious. The front of house staff (Tegan, Rhys, Luis, Charlotte, Nessa) are all lovely and friendly and they are helpful if you need anything. If your staying longer than 1 night ask at reception to get your room cleaned by the brilliant housekeeping ladies.
Car Parking is not available at the hotel but there is a council multistorey car park right next to the hotel and yes it’s not really cheap but its close, safe to the hotel. There is a height restriction though.
The staff were fantastic, always helpful and going above and beyond. Tegan, Rhys, Nessa & Luis are always welcoming!!!
Nice, clean premier inn and friendly staff.
Good quality food.
Excellent value for money.
Parking in the multistorey carpark and overnight is £16
