The building is run down the hotel had semi permanent residents who looked like they were waiting for interviews with the government for residency in this country also families who must be waiting for social housing cars were being repaired on the carpark area kids running riot it seems more like a block of unloved flats. We didn't get out of the car couldn't see any signs for reception my partner was completely disheartened by the sight before her and was adamant that she would not stay there we had to find another hotel very disappointed by tollgate hotel in stoke why are Expedia are advertising this place....not happy at all!!!
Bathroom had mould over the ceiling it was disgusting. Broken plug sockets. I paid £90 for 1 night and it truly was disgusting.
The location was c
This used to be a nice place to stay, however now its nothing but a lodging for immigrants and single mothers with kids that need housing. Kids running around until approximately 02.00 so if you want a good nights sleep then forget it. Hotel rooms need a good clean and overhaul. No lock on bathroom door so left to swing in the breeze. No window stay on the bathroom window so had to prop open with a shower gell. Toilet seat and lid very loose and sliding plus toilet roll holder fell out of the wall when unravelling toilet roll.Room itself had greasy headmarks on the opening windows, stains running down the wall that haven't been wiped away and above the headboard was a dirty wall where people have sat up on the bed with dirty or greasy hair. Door to room had wooden panels with at least 3 having cracks in them upto about 5 mil wide.
There used to be a bar..... no longer there and no breakfast offered as the restaurant has been closed down.
Had it not been the night before fathers day and letting my Dad down we would of quite happily drove the 120 miles back home. There were no rooms available in any other local hotels including Premier, Travelodge and Holiday inns so all in all not a good experience..... These conditions may be ok for people needing social housing funded by the tax payer but not paying guests stuck in the odd room between these people living there
The property needs a serious overhaul looking very dated in decoration.
Old wall paper on the walls with marking on the paper , carpets need a refresh , small tv which needs to be replaced with a new tv on the wall.
Bathroom shower worked but needs a new shower as i couldnt properly turn the shower off after use.
Minamul tea facilities in room.
Veru poor standard of accommodation but it was quite cheap hotel .
Think i will book a different hotel next time
