I design hotels and am in nyc monthly. I use HotelsTonight and your site. This trip was a little disappointing. They use a nearby gym that works solely on an App. No reception desk. Was very difficult just to go to gym. 2nd the Pod has no luggage rack. So my suitcase sat on the floor and had to lift to put on bed daily. 3rd housekeeping put on the towels on my suitcase every day! AND always forgot wash clothes. I had to call down daily!

Staff was very friendly and helpful; location was excellent for what I needed; and a very clean room with all necessities. There is a rooftop bar and an Italian style restaurant.

The room was even smaller than expected from what was pictured. It felt walk-in closet size and did not warrant the cost per night.
Great location, within walking distance of Grand Central Station. Room was clean and comfortable and the private bathroom was great. Free coffee in the morning was awesome. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.
I love a good high flow shower, but the shower was possibly the wettest shower I have even been in. Not a bad really, just sort of challenging.

I stayed at Pod 39 Hotel and unfortunately my experience was disappointing, especially considering what I paid.
The first night, I was placed in a terrible room that looked completely different from the one I reserved online. I was extremely tired after traveling, so I didn’t realize right away that the room style and the window setup were not what I had booked.
Another major issue was the noise. Early every morning, I could hear the staff cleaning other rooms, which made it very difficult to rest and sleep properly.
After speaking with the front desk, they switched my room on the second night to one with proper air circulation and a window. That was the only night I was actually able to sleep comfortably.
For the amount I paid, I expected the room and overall experience to match what was advertised online. Unfortunately, it did not meet those expectations.
