Pros:

Serenity Ecolodge, which truly lives up to its name. Nestled in the lush mountains of San Pedro de Poás, this eco-retreat offers sweeping views of the forest and nearby Poás Volcano that feel straight out of a dream. The warm hospitality from the owners, who go above and beyond to make our stay a memorable one. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit costa rica!

Amazing is an understatement. The hosts were very gracious, attentive, pleasant, informative, & over all the best host we have ever had the pleasure of staying with. The bungalow was very clean, bed was comfy and firm & necessary toiletries were provided & up kept. Even with no AC it got so cold at night that it wasn’t needed. It is very high up in the mountains, if you have never been to Costa Rica just be prepared for very steep, thin, one roaded roadways going up to the cottage. The views and peaceful surrounding make everything worth wild. Over all we recommend and look forward to returning here someday.

Pros:

My wife and I stayed for a week and it was an incredible stay. We enjoyed every minute. Our hostess was everything you could ask for. The breakfast was amazing and the dinner was so good that we ate there every night. She was also very knowledgeable about the area which was great since we had no clue where anything was. I would highly recommend.

Pros:

We arrived at the property late at night due to our arrival time. The owner was very helpful in helping us locate the property at night. The view was incredible, very quiet and serene. It gives “a cabin in the wood” vibe; I love the property.

We chose this place because we wanted to stay outside San José while still being close to the airport and nearby attractions. The setting is stunning—peaceful, pastoral, and surrounded by forest, with breathtaking panoramic views from the breakfast terrace.

Both breakfast and dinner were excellent, but the true highlight was the owner, Cindy. Her exceptional service and generosity made our stay unforgettable. She is incredibly attentive, communicative, and always available.

We only wish we had more nights in this wonderful place. Highly recommended—don’t hesitate to book!

Beautiful clean cabins with huge bed and luxurious bedding. Spectacular views and sunsets. Personalized service, willing to work with your every need, from culinary to meal times and navigation. A home away from home.
