Hotel Monastero Sant'Andrea

Tiene vistas muy bellas, se encuentra a 2 min a pie de la Basílica Papal de San Francisco y de su cripta. Tiene el inconveniente que está situado en la parte alta de Asís pero por lo mismo las vistas son muy buenas.

It was hard for us to find the place. 2 GPS brought us to wrong place. We had to ask around to finally find the place.
Check in was a breeze. Staff were very friendly and provided helpful information regarding sights and places to eat.
Once we entered the room, noted insects on the bed and in bathroom floor which we were able to “kill”. Room is generally clean . Bathroom shower stalls noted to have algae/mold in between tiles. We were very surprised since this hotel just opened 9 months ago, per front desk staff. Noted also thick dust above wall tiles. Informed room cleaner regarding above findings the next morning. She brought insect spray canister which she left behind for us to use. She apparently sprayed bleach on the wall tiles in the shower stall because bubbles came out when we showered at night ; but did not scrubbed the tiles ; molds/algae was still unchanged. Room cleaner also dusted the upper tiles on the wall as evidenced by the decreased amount that can be visibly seen. However, she did not clean up the dust balls that fell on the sink and on our toiletries.
Breakfast had good variety of cold cuts, bread and juices. Dining staff were quick to replenish food.
Our room had a very good view of the town and the Basilica. We were able to sleep well during the night. It was very quiet.
Parking is easy to get in and out. Nightly fee of €15.00.
Check out was also a breeze. Reported room findings to front desk staff and she took notes. Hopefully,it will be resolved

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Beautiful view of the city from the hotel. Short walk to St. Francis Basilica.

Ein Zimmer mit super Aussicht. Ein tolles Zimmer großzügig sauber. Kann man nur weiterempfehlen.

We stayed 2 weeks in Italy and stayed in 5 different properties and this was our favorite. It’s not fancy by any means but safe, quiet, clean and comfortable and the location and experience of staying in a former monastery can’t be beat. Staff was super friendly and breakfast was very good and included. There is limited parking so make sure to reserve that (we traveled with my 80 year old mother so it was essential for us given the hills in Assisi).

Beautiful setting, peaceful and tranquil. The bells every morning were a joy. Mass on Sunday morning was a lovely experience. Assisi is a very special place and we will be back.

Nos alojamos en piso 5 con una visión panorámica espectacular. La habitación limpia con todo lo necesario para el descanso.La recepcionista gentil y hablando nuestro idioma. Recomendable ciento por ciento.

Cet hôtel s’avère davantage être un lieu de séjour pour pèlerins à prix de touristes.
Bien que le bâtiment soit très beau, les chambres sont très laides, mal meublées, le lit est très inconfortable et la salle de bain, minuscule.
Se rendre à l’hôtel en voiture s’avère être tout un défi!
Par ailleurs, bien que l’hôtel dispose d’un assez grand stationnement dans sa cour intérieure, il nous faut payer 15 euros et devons quitter les
Lieux pour 9:30 le matin. Ainsi alors que l’hôtel est situé à un jet de pierres de la basilique, il nous fait redescendre tout le village avec la voiture, stationner dans un stationnement intérieur public, payer à nouveau le stationnement et remonter le village à pied.
Bref, à moins de vous satisfaire de peu et de voyager sans voiture, nous ne recommandons pas cet hôtel.

Very nice place to stay

Best location in Assisi!

L'hotel è situato proprio davanti la Basilica di San Francesco. È un ex monastero e pertanto le stanze non sono grandi ma pulite e funzionali, c'è perfino una cappella dentro l'hotel. La colazione inclusa nel prezzo è buona con cornetti stornati sul momento e ottime crostate. C'è anche qualcosa di salato.
Il posto per la macchina va prenotato ed è a pagamento. In alternativa si deve posteggiare in uno dei parcheggi per accedere ad Assisi (pare ce ne sia uno non segnalato su Google, a 100mt, bisogna impostare sul navigatore chiosco Vamos).
Al quinto piano c'è un terrazzo con vista sulla Basilica.

Very clean, quiet, friendly helpful staff. Very good breakfast. Spacious room. Comfortable beds room fits three people. Excellent air conditioning. Excellent bathroom with clean towels and adorable packets of toothbrush and other toiletries. Many restaurants in close walking distance. AMAZING VIEW from outdoor terrace and bedroom windows of St Francis Bascillica and countryside. Assisi churches and attractions are all walking distances. 5 stars for everything.

El lugar era un monasterio y sientes ese ambiente de paz, abres la ventana y tienes a la vista de la Basílica de San Francisco, hermoso!
La chica de la reservación fue muy amable y nos ayudó a hacer una reservación para cenar en lugar muy bonito. Sin duda volvería!!!

Love the location and the hotel. Just wish the staff can speak English
