I'm sorry I've never stayed in a hostel before so my review may not be accurate. The hostel was very clean and it was a very cool style. Hostel life is just not for me.
Good location easy to get to and walk around city
Great location next to train station and walking distance to Prado Museum, parks and Madrid centre area. Hotel located on very busy main streets so quite noisy as well as construction to train station.
We do not recommend this hotel. We were in an attic room with a window in the roof .there was no TV. The rafters were low enough to hit your head. The room was substandard for Hotels. com.
Everything was great except breakfast, was horrible.
Just needed a safe, clean, convenient bed for the night before flying out. This location was a very easy walk from Atocha with luggage. There is a locker under the bed but you should bring your own lock if you want to. I used a 4 bed female only. We shared a shower/toilet/sink. There are paid lockers onsite if you need them outside of sleeping hours. I slept fine because I brought earplugs and a face masks. My bunkmates were polite and quiet. But there were loud guys in the hall after 11pm for. awhile. The nature of a hosel!
The basics were OK: the room is clean, there is no noise from the street or other rooms, the room is not cramped, the toilet and shower work, and the door locks well. Please note that we had the most expensive room in the whole hotel. On the negative side, multiple points: the room is spartan, no tv(!!!!), no hair dryer, no safe, no fridge or mini bar, no Kleenex, no glasses (even in the washroom - zero glass). that's for the room. Long and gray corridors. The two elevators: functional but blatantly insufficient for the number of rooms. But the worst clearly is the SERVICE, or rather the absence of it. In four days of entering and leaving the hotel at various times, we received the sum total of one hello and one smile (by the same person at the same time). Otherwise, clearly no one among the staff feigns the least interest in our presence. Same "customer approach" for the breakfast room where clearly we clients were an annoyance. Lastly, the breakfast itself had a depressing selection and so-so quality. In other words, not only won't we ever return but we'll actively deter friends and family as well. When paying more than $450 a night, one expects some minimal consideration and perks.
Very disappointed Canadian couple
The “motel” is terrible for that price I stayed at the four season
Great hostel, clean and nice spaces to relax. Good breakfast
Close to Atocha
I love this location. Great staff !! super clean, amazing shower!
Bar very lively entertainment down in the piano bar super cool. Had a great time. I’ll be back.
A very basic room. Quiet, but spartan- no chair, no TV, no kleenex, no bar soap, no telephone. Husband found rat hair in his breakfast croissant. Good place for travelers in their 20s and 30s to meet- they have a Meet and Greet nightly which was well attended. Close to major museums and the train station.
Great location. Specially being close to the bus and train stations
Nice hostel directly across from the train station. Great privacy with en-suite bathroom. The only complaint was that they kept the room too hot, at 30 degrees Celsius. I’m sure the staff could adjust it but I didn’t ask at the time.
I’m an art historian that studies Dutch art, so it was very important for me to be close by to both the Reina Sofia and the Prado- this hotel was literally perfect! Of course it’s great to be close to both museums, but it’s also close to all of the transit I needed to access. Rooms are cute and clean, laundry works great, and the restaurant was wonderful as well. I strongly recommend the patatas bravas and the cheesecake!
A friendly place, staff helpful and kind.
Strongly noise in the bed room people eating and open the window at midnight without respect for who is sleeping not clear rules it’s unacceptable
