Melia Pattaya Hotel

The breakfast was superb. Great amenities in the room and very convenient to restaurants, malls and transportation. I will be visiting again this coming December. Peter, the beverage and food manger was accessible and a true professional.

This was the most fabulous hotel. I have never stayed anywhere that was so impressive in every respect. The detail - like the man whose role is to flag traffic at the pedestrian crossing to enable safe crossing, or the porter that discretely removed his shoes before coming in to my room or the door men who rush to open door then salute it’s all just amazing. The internal design detail, beautiful rooms, the innovative layout, eating points, service at breakfast, quality of the food. the willingness of the staff, attentiveness. I could go on!

Nice new hotel. Beds very good. Good placement in Pattaya

Lovely little gem, nestled just behind the beach road. Newly opened, few minor teething issues customer service wise, however well addressed by experienced leadership. This place will get better as it blends staff culture with local culture, i would highly recommended, bit of class in Pattaya.

It's a beautiful property. However, just beneath staff's bright reception is an establishment that desperately needs managerial improvement or overhaul.
For the property I would have rated it a 5 - nice rooms, blue/white coastal design. This dropped down to 1 because of the quality and service - it was a cascade. Most apparently: I ate with a friend at the Den Japanese restaurant on the first floor. The food (Yakitori) arrived cold and when we asked to heat it up, the chef literally blowtorched it (i.e. charred on the outside cold on the inside.) Also, very long waiting time for food even though not crowded.
They gave us 30% off the bill since the food was so bad. I didn't finish the meal because usually when it's that bad at service, there's also sketchy in the kitchen. This was good judgement because within an hour I literally vomitted all the food up on the street. Must've been bad pork or fish (from the sushi). Ruined my last night in Pattaya. I'd rather be out partying but instead I'm stuck in bed with a sore stomach writing this stupid review.
I've lived in Thailand for 8 years and this has never happened to me. Worst Japanese restaurant I've encountered in Thailand, and I've been to many, many Japanese restaurants here. Astounding that it's in an upscale hotel (including upscale prices.)

I was very satisfied with the excellent facilities and service. The only disappointment was the breakfast, the hot dishes were cold and not very tasty. For example, rice, porridge, curry, rice, miso soup, etc. I would like to come back next time to eat hot dishes.
