The Cove Hotel St.Croix

The room was clean and ready when we arrived. The owners were welcoming. The check-in process was quick and easy. The area is very quiet.the ac had a remote that was easy to use. The bed was comfortable. The pool was cleaned daily. They offered to help with the baggage when checking in and out.

Not necessarily something i didn't like but things that could've been better; house keeping is every other day and there's only 1 small trash can in the room. There wasn't a microwave available in or out of the room. Brochures are nice but lack "local" activities (there was hermit crab racing 15 minutes from the hotel that wasnt mentioned when we asked for things to do). The view from our room was nice but not how it seemed on expedia. The water gets to a nice comfortable temperature but the pressure isnt that strong. If you need lotion or a shower cap bring your own its none in the room but they have shampoo,conditioner, and body wash.

Overall we enjoyed our stay and I do recommend staying here if you dont mind this minor things.

Our stay was excellent, very clean, Sea views, and very close to most areas of the island (car rental needed).
Would definitely stay again in the future.

I live on the island and just wanted a getaway for a couple of days and let me tell you this spot was just that. The rooms are beautiful and clean, the service was exceptional. The one thing that was a little bit of an inconvenience was that the water didnt get to a temperature that i like, it did get warm though, but besides that i would definitely go there again.

Everything about this property is perfection. If your doubting the reviews, don't! Spotless clean and breathtakingly beautiful. The family that owns this property is warm and welcoming. As a woman traveling alone I don't think I've ever felt so safe. This experience was more like staying in a guest bedroom in someone's home than a hotel. Highly recommend!

My stay at the Cove Hotel in St. Croix was nothing short of spectacular. The rooms were immaculate, with a classy yet modern feel, outfitted with the latest tech, from strong Wi-Fi to sleek smart TVs. Everywhere you walk, the air is filled with the delicate scent of spring jasmine, creating an atmosphere that’s both refreshing and luxurious.

I travel extensively and have experienced properties all over the world, but this one immediately jumped into my list of absolute favourites. That says a lot. What truly sets the Cove apart, though, is the people behind it — the owner/operators were an absolute delight: warm, welcoming, and genuinely invested in making sure every guest has the best possible stay.

We celebrated our one year anniversary here. There are so many places to choose and it’s rare to find a place 10/10 and is really beyond this standard. The Cove is nice, quiet, quaint and comfortable. Everything was RIGHT! Doug, the owner was very personable greeting us upon checkin and checkout and in between. My stay at the Cove was so serene and peaceful. The ambience and decor were 5 stars without breaking the bank. The views of the Ocean were so beautiful and I had all the amenities of stream TV, air conditioning and use of the pool. Everything including shopping, restaurants were all within 10-15 minutes drive. This will be my new go to place whenever I visit St Croix. Thank you for your hospitality. It seems like a lot of love went into the Cove and I appreciated all the attention to details.

I truly cannot say enough good things about this place! The hotel is beautiful. The pool is great to cool off in after a long, hot day. The rooms are spacious and have a nespresso. The small store in the hotel is so helpful (we forgot fins to snorkel with, they had them). The owner is phenomenal. He always gave suggestions on where to go, what to see, where to eat. He helped us with things that had absolutely nothing to do with the hotel and he certainly didn’t have to help us with. I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning on coming to the island. We are so happy we chose to stay here.

Such a wonderful and pleasant place to stay! The owners are excellent—so attentive and genuinely kind. One even went above and beyond by helping my grandson with first aid and later assisting us with a flat tire. The property is clean and welcoming, and we had such a neat experience spotting iguanas by the pool, which absolutely thrilled the kids!

A quick tip for anyone visiting St. Croix: if you plan to explore the island’s many beaches and sites, rent a Jeep. Some of the roads have rough patches, but the beauty of the island more than makes up for it.

First let me say we were greeted by the owner at check in, super nice guy! He even let us check in early. The property is beautiful, it gives more villas vibes. Great for a relaxing trip not turn up if you’re looking for party life. The place so quiet we didn’t really know if other guest where there until you seen cars in the parking lot.

Few things:
1. If you book here you will need a rental car nothing is close by.
2. No phone service but they provide free wifi thank God.
3. No food on location- you will have to go out daily to get food.

I would suggest adding a microwave in the lobby for guest.

Outside of those 3 things this is an amazing place to stay again if you’re looking for peace and a place to recharge!!!! 9/10

This hotel is BEAUTIFUL, the Owner Doug received us and walked us to our room. He was great, Room was big, comfortable, beautifully decorated and with a great view!!!

Doug and his wife were excellent host. Very nice and knowledgeable of things on the island. Location was very peaceful and serene. Room was very clean and we had some of the best sleep in the bed. The pool area was very relaxing. Looking for a nice secluded vacation spot away from the big city life definitely visit the Cove. Will be returning

Beautiful hotel and such a relaxing stay. Upon arrival, which we arrived late, we were greeted by the owner, Doug. He helped with our luggage & was very personable. He checked us in right away and escorted us to our room. He also ensure if we needed anything to let him know and gave two numbers that we could text or call if no one was at the front desk (which came in handy when we locked ourselves out of the bathroom lol). The room was clean, smelled wonderful and spacious, and they provided plenty of towels for our stay. Also provided was plenty of coffee and housekeeping which is every other day. Also loved that the recognized my birthday. Bed was comfortable and AC worked fined. Loved the Roku TV. Gave us plenty of things to watch during our wind down time. The next day, we saw how beautiful the view/island was from our balcony. The hotel is secluded but not far from Cane Bay Beach (beautiful beach) and restaurants in the area. I would recommend getting a rental car to explore the island. I love boutique hotels that are off the beaten path and not noisy at all! Very very quiet! If you are ever in St. Croix give the Cove Hotel a try. (Also to note: there are no elevators in the hotel and you have to walk up stairs to get to the lobby, which we did not mind at all but it may not be accessible for those with certain disabilities). Thank you Doug for accommodating us and we surely will be back in the future!

This place was perfect if your looking for a home away from home - quiet, peaceful and just nice to stay with family! Doug & Martha were super accommodating & provided us with everything we needed. Highly recommend your stay here and the pool was warm and nice!

I took a lot of time looking into where I wanted to stay for my first time in STX…so many great places on a great island…but when I came across The Cove I couldn’t stop going back and looking at all it had to offer..from the room set up, the area and oh boy the view from the room! So I booked! And I should had started saying I NEVER write reviews but The Cove definitely deserves one for sure! DOUG was amazing and every aspect you would want in a hotel owner! After being delayed coming in due to the storm he was there waiting to help us to our room! I love not having to use a normal room key! The room…the pictures do not do it justice! I didn’t tell my girlfriend about to the because I wanted to surprise her ( add the romance package well worth it!) and The Cove surprised me! Opening the door to see the view in the one is breathtaking and the most comfortable hotel mattress that I have ever slept on! Especially after a long on the beach! My girlfriend surprised me with cake balloons and even candles with a little well a lot of help from Doug!!!! Hands down the best hotel experience I have had in well ever! I just mad I didn’t get to spend more time or hope in the pool ha! I can’t wait to spend another vacation in STX and at The Cove! Close to a lot of everything you want to do! And I asked Doug a lot of questions and he definitely gets a gold star from me!
