All ok, and a great location with a fantastic view from the bedroom, but a very basic continental breakfast and 'only just' clean enough.
The whole place, staff and location were above and beyond our expectations.
The owner James was so professional and understanding, I had a medical issue whilst I was there and he couldn’t have been more helpful and caring.
Would highly recommend this hotel! It’s so clean and tidy. The staff are amazing, so happy and helpful. Breathtaking views and very convenient being so close to the centre of Looe.
For the price paid I think breakfast could be a little better.
What a gem of a find! Lovely hotel, recently refurbished from derelict and oh my what a wonderful job they have done! Decor is bright and clean. Amazing view of the bay from the huge lounge window. Single room was clean and comfortable with en-suite bath, shower and toilet. A working TV with all the channels which was unusual in my experience and much welcomed. James the owner and his staff were friendly and so helpful. The centre of Looe is a 10 - 15 minute walk away downhill (bit of a tough climb back up). Limited parking on site, but I had no trouble. Surrounding roads are busy and narrow. Looe itself was such a warm, friendly beautiful place and everything I hoped it would be. Lots to see and do. Busy, but peaceful and chilled. People were so friendly. Will definately return!
We were checked in by Kelly
We had a room towards the back of property
Kelly showed me a better room for an upgrade supplement
I also told her that it is my husband’s birthday
When we checked in there were balloons & a lovely bottle of complimentary bottle of wine
Our stay was good
Good make towels softer & shower more powerful
The hotel itself was lovely, and the view from the Lounge/Breakfast room was wirth the money alone. However, once i arrived and booked in and was shown to my room, the key code didn't work and the receptionist had to let me into the room, twice, when i came back with my luggage. Once i was in the room (i booked the single room) i discovered there was no wardrobe space. The two bedside cabinets had a couple of drawers to put bits in, but there was nowhere to hang anything! Something to be aware of if youre travelling alone. Having said all that, i did like the hotel, and the staff were very friendly, they did sort out my key code in the end. If youre going to stay, i would recommend paying the extra for a larger room, which hopefully do have wardrobes.
Great place with amazing views.
Parking was easy and the walk into East Looe was good.
Excellent links to the coast path
The reception staff were really nice and friendly
A newly refurbished hotel which is very clean and modern.
My room was excellent, had a great sleep in the comfy bed
The staff on reception were so friendly. The hotel was clean and modern inside. Bedrooms so warm with heat on. You can walk into Looe or drive down and park. Hotel has parking so that brilliant. The beach does f let dogs on there are any time which is a shame but they can walk along the path.
Lots of cafes, pubs, eating places all dog friendly. Loved it there.
Clean fresh comfortable stay, friendly staff would definitely stay here again
Nicely refurbished hotel easy check in room was clean spacious new kitchenette had to unpack pots and pans , could not get induction hob to work but no instructions so could be us our view from balcony was out onto wall at back of property room 17 so a bit of a let down other than that was a good stay many thanks team
I have stayed in many hotels throughout the world and this ranks amongst the finest
Hotel antiguo con encanto. Magnificas vistas y personal muy amable. Muy tranquilo y agradable
Loved the balcony and the view from the room. Lovely breakfast and dinning room if you get a window view.
Bathroom very tired and required updating in room.
Lovely place to stay on Looe. Some of the decoration at bit tired but room was clean and comfortable with a large balcony. Breakfast is excellent good choice on buffet and cooked breakfast generous made with good quality food. Would recommend.
We paid £330 for two nights that’s £165.00 per night. That’s as expensive as staying in a nice hotel in London. This place was more like a guest house than a hotel. The room was really small, it smelt musty like it had not been used for a while, it was old and needed a lot of work done on the room and bathroom. The whole place looked from the outside to the hall way to the rooms looked run down and in need of decoration. We stayed one night and left the following morning as the bed was old and very uncomfortable and even the couple of towels they left for us looked like guest house towels instead of hotel towels. Could not stay here a second night and the price we paid for this was extortionate.
Most welcoming and accommodateing but needs updating.
