From arrival, it’s clear this hotel runs on meticulous care and thoughtful design. The building is spotless—corridors gleam, common areas feel fresh—and maintenance is impeccable. Our room was a masterclass in planning: clean, comfortable, beautifully laid out, with stunning, never-tiring views of Kathmandu. Thoughtful touches—excellent lighting, practical storage, and a truly comfortable bed—made it feel like home.

Dining is a highlight. Multiple on-site options deliver consistently high quality and warm service—from relaxed breakfasts to refined dinners. Rooftop spaces steal the show: a serene pool with panoramic views, a stylish sunset bar, and a well-equipped gym that actually motivates a workout. Fast, reliable internet throughout made staying connected effortless.

We were there during the Gen Z protests, and this is where Mercure Kathmandu truly shone. Staff were calm, composed, and extraordinarily professional. Thoughtful safety measures—discreet yet effective—kept us reassured without ever feeling confined. They acknowledged what was happening outside while maintaining a comfortable, normal atmosphere. Communication was clear, empathy genuine, and care above expectations.

While we’d love to name individuals, every team member was exceptional—from front desk and housekeeping to dining, security, and management. The seamless coordination, especially under pressure, was remarkable.

We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mercure Kathmandu.

We have had the most wonderful stay at this hotel. The hotel is clearly very modern and luxurious, given it only opened recently and is 5 star luxury, but what really made this hotel special was the truly wonderful service that we received from every single member of staff. They made us feel so special and nothing was too much trouble for them. Special thank yous to Suchan and Abhishek and Anubhaw and all their teams. The food was amazing and Ajay the chef was delightful and would make anything we requested. The standards were of the highest level and we would love to visit again one day.
