Welcomed immediately, check in quick. Lovely room. Great breakfast , lots of choice, friendly staff. Kept us going all day!
Wonderful hotel. Staff are amazing.
Only stayed one night but looking to take advantage of the 3 for 2 offer in winter.
Had a lovely meal, staff very friendly and helpful
Had a nice night away but a few things need sorting. They have nobody on reception. Check in I had to find the barman to get someone, for milk in the morning to make a coffee in our room it says ring or go to reception. No answer and then nobody there when I went down so had to ask a cleaner to get someone. Also on checkout. Same again. Food was nice but not great on the evening and breakfast was good for me but the wife’s was not great. Lad on bar was good and the bed was and room were good. They definitely need blackout blinds though as I woke up at 5:30 because of the light shining through. It’s basically a hotel for walkers etc due to its location.
Absolutely beautiful room with views over the moors. Best bath and night’s sleep I’ve had I ages.
Great stay with my daughter. Couldn’t fault it at all. It’s a lovely place in such beautiful surroundings, nice bit of an old fashioned feel to it. Staff were brilliant, and all the food was delicious
Room lovely. Breakfast very good.
Lovely location at the end of the village with views across the valley and the moors. Quiet and relaxing place to stay. Food at dinner and breakfast was excellent.
Fantastic stay. Beautiful location and hotel was perfect. Staff extremely friendly and the food was excellent.
Lovely staff- the place has a real air of peace and tranquility- felt like a total step back from reality
Excellent food.
Staff were wonderful. Food was excellent. Good choice for dinner and breakfast. Easy walking to local attractions. Only stayed for one night but would definitely use this hotel again when in the area.
Good.location for the surrounding sights
Booked an overnight stay to celebrate my husbands birthday. No acknowledgement was nade of this fact, which was a bit disappointing.
For lunch we had the Sunday roast, which was nice but not very hot.
Our standard bedroom was small but cute. The bathroom has a small bath and a tiny shower, which my husband struggled to fit into.
The bed was very comfortable.
For supper we had sandwiches which were tasty. I asked a member of staff if they could light the fire in the room we were in, as we were cold, which they did eventually.
We had finished eating by then, so sat in front of the fire on a very uncomfortable sofa. The fire was lovely but the uncomfortable sofa won in the end and we retired to our bedroom.
The bedroom and bathroom were cold when we woke up the next day, as the heating wasn't working. Reported it to reception when we went down for breakfast.
The dining room was busy, so we sat at the last free table. Breafast was lovely, with a good choice of cooked options.
Mallyan falls is behind the hotel, so we went for a walk there and down to Goathland station, to watch a steam train arrive and depart.
Lovely short break here. Bed was very comfortable with good quality bedding. Very nice thick towels. Staff were all friendly and organised.
Excellent stay. Really nice, large bedroom with excellent views. Generally very comfortable although mattress a little hard for my liking but that is a personal thing.
Hotel had plenty of public space with 2 bars and plenty of loung areas as well as a comfortable dining room. Food excellent and good value.
I am sure we will be back
