ECHO Suites Extended Stay by Wyndham Richmond West

When we checked in, the front desk, employee informed me that the beds that I had prepaid for was unavailable so they downgraded us, with no refund or offer of one. The elevator is broken and we were replaced on the top floor. The bed did not have a box spring. They do not provide anything like cups or silverware for an extended stay room. The bathroom had another person's stuff in it, and there was hair on counters. The hallways and stairwells smelled of body odor and marijuana. Lastly, there was somebody sleeping on the floor at the end of the 4th floor hallway. We checked in here because it had good reviews, but I'm not really sure how they have received any such reviews. Would not recommend.

The elevator was out of service the whole weekend. Although the room was comfortable, the shower overflowed into the living space. When I called down to the front desk to let them know, they said that they would bring up a mop so that I, the guest, could clean it up. When I told the front desk person that it was not my job to clean up something that was there fault I was met with incredulity and attitude. I guess lucky for me. The person that I was with was a little bit more empathetic the front desk person left the mop and some gloves and said to just ring the Mop out in the toilet and she would come up and get it later. Not only will I not stay at this place again but I will be disputing the charge on my credit card. Absolutely horrible.

I did not have any issues with my room and check in was pretty smooth until the lady told me the elevator was out of service and my room would be on the 3rd floor and here I am with bags a suitcase and a 10 month old baby and stroller and no kind service or help was offered. I asked how long would the elevators be out of service and it was an I don't know and that was it. There was an odor throughout the hallways at times but in my room everything appeared pretty decent and clean. The area seem pretty safe had no concerns for safety.

Hallways smell like smoke. The room next door was loud and was fighting all hours of the night. The stairway smelled like trash from people leaving trash in there. Also a lot of people hanging outside drinking and smoking.

Sad about the elevator being broken but still a great property and great staff

Elevator wasn't working. I had to walk up to the 4th floor with my cooler, drinks and luggage.
Stairways were dirty and only one security camera on the 1st floor.

The elevator was not working and I was initially told the only available room was on the 4th floor for me and my dog. That was not going to work. I thought about other options and she finally found another room on the 2nd floor which I accepted.
Room was fine although I could hear people in other rooms around and above me late into the night

Power outage for 24 hours & Echo did not provide any incentive back for the inconvenience.

The staff was very helpful and attended to my needs and requests with a smile and we're very efficient. Easy online check-in and check-out process. Overall a most pleasing stay.

Wonderful affordable hotel

I was disappointed that there were no kitchen utensils available at all. I had never been to a hotel that had a full kitchen but nothing all all in the cupboards. I learned that utensils could be rented but they didn’t have any available. It felt misleading.

For a hotel that was 5 months “new” at the time of my stay, it was already terribly unclean. While the multiple dust bunnies and dried drip of toothpaste could be photographed, there’s no way to snap pics of the sticky floors and tiny hairs on the bed top sheet. This place is an adult hostel, at best. Shame on you, Wyndham.
