Very thankful to have found this place last minute. I was supposed to be staying at a nightmare hostel nearby (Casa Santurce) but I couldn’t do it and found this place, Hotel Luz. It was everything I needed. I stayed alone and the place I got was small but enough for one person in my opinion. It was clean and I had originally booked for an early check in. Long story short there was a miscommunication with staff and I wasn’t to able check in at 1:30 as originally promised. The manager though, Mark?, was great at fixing the issue. He was very apologetic and went above and beyond to try to fix it. He gave me a free bottle of white wine and removed original early check in fee as well as giving me 50% the first night. I really appreciated the attention to detail and how he handled that. The area is great and has many walkable places to eat and visit. I Uber’d to many places and it was very close to everything I wanted to see without being expensive. Overall it was a great stay and I would def come back. If I had to find something to complain about it would be the shower. The water pressure is was not the best and I did not love the open shower concept. I also had a few times where it took some time for the water to warm up which I didn’t mind but I figured it’s worth mentioning. Either way those were very minor things in my opinion and I would still come back. Thank you Hotel Luz and staff for a lovely stay!
