Pros:

If you are staying here for one night, you will be fine! There is a bus that takes you to the airport so you don't have to waste a billion quid on a cab. There is a gas station with snacks and convenience items across the street. It is a convenient place to sleep if you have an early flight out of Gatwick, and the hotel manager is quite a cool dude.

Pros:

Had a great stay at Gatwick Inn Hotel! Check-in was quick and easy, and I was really impressed by Eias at reception. He was super helpful with my (very big!) bags, gave me great recommendations for restaurants in the area, and genuinely went the extra mile to make me feel welcome. He even refused a tip, which says a lot about how seriously he takes good service. Really appreciated the warm and friendly experience — would definitely recommend staying here.

P/s; my room was really clean , spacious and tidy !

Pros:

As a place to stay before a flight, it's fine, though it is quite a walk from Horley if you want to go out there for dinner. The bus stop for the bus to the airport is a couple of minutes away. Incredibly friendly receptionist.

Pros:

Although the receptionist was trying to be friendly, that was the only redeeming part of my stay. The building is old and completely rundown. I honestly don’t understand how this place has a rating of 8.8—it’s far too high for what it actually offers and makes me question the reliability of the other reviews. I booked it based on that score, and it turned out to be a big mistake.

The room had a strong chemical smell, likely from whatever they used to clean it. I had to keep the window open to air it out, but then the constant traffic noise made it impossible to sleep.

The furniture was worn out and broken, the glasses looked like they hadn’t been replaced in a century, and the chair by the desk was stained and dirty.

I understand this is a new business trying to get established, but that doesn’t excuse the current condition. The first priority should be to clean and renovate—or at the very least, avoid renting out rooms that clearly aren’t ready for guests.

Overall, it was a very unpleasant experience. I do not recommend staying here.

Airport night stay
Pros:

Helpful staff. Great communication. 24/7 reception counter. I arrived at midnight, way past standard checkin. Was very easy to arrange. No hidden charges. Great location with nearby amenities, petrol pump and Sainsbury’s right opposite.

Pros:

Was awoken by a huge argument in the hallway...
A man shouting very loudly and being thereatened with police..
I think he was annoyed at housekeeping knocking on doors...
And to be honest, I agree with him as they did it to me...
I felt uneasy and quickly left

Bargain!
Pros:

My husband & I had to travel from the other end of the country to visit an elderly relative in the nearby hospital, and needed a reasonably-priced last-minute room for 2 nights. This fitted the bill perfectly, and I knew we'd made the right choice when I spoke to the Manager. What a lovely guy: friendly, honest, helpful, straightforward, and so easy to deal with. Many hotel managers could take a lesson from him.

The hotel has only recently been bought by the present owners and needs refurbishment, but we knew that before we went, and the price of the rooms reflects it anyway.

The beds were very comfortable, the room spacious, there was a fridge and a large TV, and it was a nice surprise to find a bath - so many hotels only have showers. There's free WIFI & parking, which is very helpful. Everything in the room was clean, even if not in the best condition (as already explained), but it didn't bother us in the slightest.

Having previously stayed at the Premier Inn just along the road, which was much more expensive and no better in terms of sleep quality (and FAR less friendly!), we'd much sooner return to the London Gatwick Inn when we visit Horley/Salfords again.

Warning! The hotel is not very easy to find due to the house numbers in the road being hard to spot and the hotel signage being quite small as you approach, so look out for the Sainsbury's Local/Petrol Station: the hotel is right opposite. Turn in where you see the No Stopping/Clearway road sign.
