The Lagoon Cam Ranh-Your Perfect Getaway

I don’t even know what to say. When I checked in, I wasn’t told anything about payment. Obviously I would’ve paid had that been brought up, but I assumed either I prepaid or would pay on checkout. Well, at 9pm someone comes violently knocking on my door. Without even identifying herself, she wanted me to hand her CASH right then and there. She then states she’s the “owner”. I told her I would come down to the front desk later, but was in the middle of something. I then get a call in my room 5 minutes later asking me to come down and pay. Again, I told them I was busy and would be down in a hour. Sure enough they came pounding on my door again 5 minutes later, this time with a security guard, threatening to remove me immediately if I didn’t come down and pay. Completely unprofessional way to do business, and a disgrace.

The facilities were old and dated, the lazy river was a complete rip off for renting a tube, and the hotel is in a horrible location with almost nothing within walking distance.

Definitely wouldn’t return.

Just 5 minutes from the airport, which made arrival super easy. It’s definitely away from any real local culture or dining—so not ideal if you want to explore. The beach is walkable, though there was a lot of rubbish when I visited. The room had some issues: mildew in the bathroom, used coffee spoons, and sheets and pillowcases that didn’t seem freshly changed. Prices were high for what was offered, very tourist-oriented. Still, a peaceful stay if you're not too particular.
