One of the neatest places we’ve ever stayed. We loved everything about it!

Staying at No Vacancy in Kansas City felt like stepping into the future. The hotel is undeniably hip, stylish western design, and a vibe that still manages to feel warm and welcoming. Our room was spotless and well maintained, and check-in was as easy as it gets—fast, digital, and entirely contactless. For introverts, or anyone who prefers efficiency over small talk, this setup is fantastic. It reminded me of riding in a Waymo: everything you need without the human interaction. It’s a glimpse of what hospitality might look like in the future, and for the most part, it works very well.

That said, guests should be aware of the fees. In our case, the extra charges ended up costing more than the base rate for the room itself. Extending time came with an additional fee, and several other line items showed up that weren’t clearly explained. While the space and concept are great, the layers of fees made the overall value feel less straightforward than we expected.

Overall, No Vacancy delivers a clean, modern, and efficient stay with a unique approach to hospitality—perfect for those who value privacy and independence. Just budget a little extra, as the fees can add up quickly.

The property is located in a great area for amazing night life. The staff was very attentive and addressed the one issue I had. They personally listened and went above and beyond to help me out.

Super hip and cool. Really spacious room that was beautifully decorated and well appointed. Loved that everything was keyless. Staff was super communicative prior to and after arrival. 2 things to note, as at least my room (room 3) is not for everyone.
It is above the bar and therefore for anyone who turns in early, there will be music til midnight. Also, for those who like to lay in bed and watch TV; there is no TV in the unit. Again, neither were issues for me, I absolutely loved my stay - but just be aware when booking. I will state here again in a heartbeat.

We loved the No Vacancy. Our room was individually decorated, the parlor area was relaxing and loved the bar with it's Wednesday night, very diverse salsa dancers. The bar tenders were so friendly and led us to a jazz bar for some Kansas City Jazz. We just may return.....

Great place and location! Every time you enter it had a great smell. Very hip but yet very comfortable place.

Can’t wait to come back! Perfect for a solo stay, or a couple’s retreat. Don’t bring your kids, please.

Beautiful setting, thoughtfully done… Seems like there was detail in everything. Surprised at how quiet it was for the location. It was a Thursday night. I don’t know if that makes a difference . Plenty of walkable food options, and entertainment.
