Excellent hotel and great staff
Rooms should be automatically cleaned every morning. Every day after I return late afternoon or evening my room is not cleaned or no new water. Also
Overall, it looks nice on the surface, but the 5-star label hides the reality if you’re visiting Madinah for a spiritual trip. The hotel is on a busy main road, quite secluded, with few nearby food options and little ambience. It feels more suited for locals than international visitors. The shuttle only goes to the Prophet’s Mosque, skips Asr prayer, and isn’t frequent enough. Quba Mosque is about a 10-minute walk, but along a highway-like road that feels polluted and unsafe, with poor pavements and no calmness.
Breakfast is very basic for a 5-star hotel. The waffle was nice, pancakes came from a machine, but there’s only one pan for omelettes so you wait one by one. Juices are bottled, options are limited, and Western guests will be disappointed. Staff don’t serve tea or coffee, you must collect tea from one side and milk from another. Small but important touches are missing.
Rooms are a good size, but the views are poor, just old buildings and traffic. You can barely see Quba Mosque in the distance. Housekeeping was inconsistent, towels and bed linen ran out, and key cards kept disconnecting.
Staff were polite but clearly restricted by management. The hotel should improve shuttle frequency, add short rides to Quba, expand breakfast choices, and fix basic issues. I’m leaving one star not out of anger, but to warn others. The 5-star rating hides that this isn’t ideal for a calm, spiritual stay.
