Just amazing hotel, room and service!

The Bailiffgate Hotel is an excellent hotel with wonderful and attentive staff. A magic combination.

It is situated next to Alnwick Castle and a short walk into Alnwick town.

We were greeted with exceptional kindness and professionalism. Entire staff was excellent.

The staff were very attentive, especially Sam. On the downside, we suspect ongoing maintenance will be required for very minor things like the toilet roll holders and in our room the wardrobe door didn’t fully shut, so the light shone through; and I wasn’t overly impressed by the breakfast. In spite of those extremely minor issues we would love to stay again. It’s a lovely and impressive hotel in an amazing location - and the focaccia is to die for!

This is one of the finest hotels we’ve stayed at in all of the UK. It is right across the street from the castle and the service and the rooms are spectacular. Highly recommended.

Two night stay, great view of the castle, friendly and helpful staff but all well trained. Breakfast was sub par could be better.

Superb hotel in perfect setting right next to the Castle and a short walk into Alnwick town centre with its full range of shops and restaurants.
We had a wonderful stay with friends and being a new hotel (opened in May) everything felt fresh and well presented.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Especially the two girls working on the bar in the evening. The bar itself is a perfect way to start the evening and classic cocktails were excellent.
The breakfasts were superb too. A bright open dining room with excellent continental buffet and table service of hot choices.
My wife and I (and couple we were with) can confidently say that this hotel is one of the best we have stayed in the UK.
The price point is also fair and reasonable.
Only potential issue (not for us really) is the steps up from the main car park (62). Depending on age and mobility this could prove an issue to some. However, with drop off at the main door of the hotel (bags and less able visitors) I am sure to most that this would only be a minor inconvenience.

Fantastic and relaxing hotel. We stayed for our 20th wedding anniversary and thoughly enjoyed our time with you.
The room we had was fantastic, clean and had everything you could wish for. The private balcony overlooking the castle made it even better and all of the staff were friendly and very helpful.
Unfortunately we didn't have a chance to eat in the restaurant in the evening due to wanting to tick the Treehouse off our bucket list but the breakfast was fantastic.
Next time we shall definitely try the evening menu.

Stayed for 3 nights recently. The hotel is very nice and clearly new. Style and furnishings are modern without being pretentious. Centrally located for town centre and castle. On site restaurant was great but there are also plenty of options nearby.

The room was stunning . We had views of the castle.
The staff were exceptional. Lisa from the restaurant was so helpful and very kind.

The whole stay was relaxing and welcoming.

Great and helpful staff, highly recommend taking a local taxi service from the hotel to the train station.
