Lovely hotel in the middle of Arklow town. Rooms very nice. Staff exceptionally friendly.
Clean room, bed very comfortable, staff friendly and very helpful, entertainment and activities on your doorstep with friendly locals ready to make you feel welcome.
Lovely quiet Hotel . Barstaff are very friendly
Do you like lying awake until the nightclub closes at 02.40? That the password in the room for wifi goes to a wifi that doesn't exist? That there are big tears in the wallpaper? That the mirror in the bathroom is older than the nation of Ireland? That the window hangs askew and can't be closed? That you check in at the pub so that drunk villagers find out your name and room number. Then this is the place for you!
Very welcoming and customer friendly
Pas top du tout
The town of Arklow is a quaint, quiet little town, very walkable, a river nearby. The Hotels proprietor was a very friendly, kind, helpful man. Check in at the bar was quick, room was nicely renovated, it could have been the time of year but it was VERY quiet in the upstairs area, I felt like I was the only one staying there. There was a bountiful, delicious breakfast the next morning, a full Irish breakfast and I had a lovely chat with the barkeep....he had been working there for 50 years...amazing! The only tiny criticism I had was that I couldn't get any hot water in the shower, could have been I didn't wait long enough or just old pipes, but a hot shower would have been nice. I would recommend!
rooms over an inn- they lock doors until 2pm, you cannot come and go freely if staying multiple days
