Casa Las Ruinas by Stay with Bear

The rooms were poorly described, smelled like mildew and mold, the common areas had extension cords EVERYWHERE, cockroaches and loud banging from construction early in the morning and lasts all day. Left after our first night. Requested a refund and was denied!

I stayed with my daughter one night before our cruise, they allowed us to check in early. The room was clean, very nicely decorated, it’s close to La Calle San Sebastián which is really fun. Close to shops and restaurants. Wonderful stay. Thank you Casa Las Ruinas.

Great location, beautiful space. Unfortunately there was a. Issue with us getting access to our room as their equipment wasn’t working. The cleanliness could use some work. Otherwise - would stay again.

Loved the setting and the traditional architecture- 20ft cielings, interior courtyard. Windowless room. However, absence of front desk was an absolute killer - i had an extra 50 lb suitcase full of expensive gear and no way to leave it before checkin or after checkout for even a 2 hours. So, stress and high inconvenience.

We felt well cared for during our stay. The staff was extremely helpful in getting us to the right building and into our unit. When we later had trouble with the main door they were able to assist us over the phone. We were missing a blow dryer in our unit and the staff coordinated delivery of one. It was great to have a fridge in the unit as well! The building was quiet and the unit was spacious. We appreciated the extra fan in the living area.

Such a unique stay in the heart of Old San Juan. Walking distant from great food spots and stunning views. We will definetely be coming back.

Muy buena ubicación, nos tocaron algunos días lluviosos y la habitación tiene goteras.
También hice la reserva al mismo tiempo que otro amigo y nos dieron habitaciones muy distintas (una muy grande con sala y cocina y la otra solo era el cuarto con baño). No está mal, pero no supimos cuál fue la diferencia si habíamos reservado lo mismo.
En el lugar no hay alguien como recepción físicamente, aunque toda la comunicación fue por la app, sería bueno que alguien (adicional a las personas de limpieza) estuviera ahí en algún horario (o al menos no coincidimos con nadie).

La persona que nos atendió fue muy amable aunque mi cuarto original no estaba disponible ella buscó alternativas rápidas de acomodo.

Centrally located. Close to restaurants, bars and perfect for sightseeing. Rooms was very clean and spacious.

Enjoyed our stay!

This was a very okay stay. The property itself is very nice however there were moments where there were big puddles of water around hours after it rained, no one was cleaning anything. Our room was never cleaned either despite getting emails that our room was refreshed. There was staff on the property but they didn’t really do anything I guess. I didn’t hate my stay but it wasn’t the best. Also, every room has windows pretty high up that can’t be covered and they illuminate at night. Our friends room was in front of a bright chandelier and it looked like the lights were on at night because of how illuminated it was. I wouldn’t stay again but also if you want something affordable and central, it’s fine.

Our room was amazing! It's right in the heart of old San Juan, walking distance from almost everything you'd need. Rental car not needed when you're staying here, and you won't find parking anyway.

I loved staying here! After wanting to see more of Puerto Rico after attending the Bad Bunny residency, Casa Las Ruinas was a perfect choice. Although the there is no on site attendant, check in/check out was smooth. Loved the interior and decor. Mostly very quiet. It feels like your own little apartment, lots of privacy. Perfect location in Old San Juan. Although there is no dedicated parking for the hotel you are literally steps from a garage where you can pay for parking. Don’t forget to try the cute cafe next door. I would definitely stay here again.

This place was amazing! We stayed in the loft apartment and it was beautiful. Everything was well stocked and the staff was super attentive and helpful. Loved our stay. Would definitely recommend and continue to come back.
