Très bon séjour professionnel
A most enjoyable overnight stop. The restaurant is expensive but the service and food were superb.
This hotel was chosen as a suitable half way stop on route to Switzerland. In previous years we have stayed in Troyes.
We found the room satisfactory; the location very good and the evening meal excellent. It is a shame that there was not time to explore the region more.
A great first stop to a holiday. Very high level of cooking. Comfortable room. Good location/distance from tunnel. In old village with nice walk to the lake.
Schone kamer. Goede badruimte. Restaurant prijzig.
Très bonne qualité , personnels très bien
We stayed overnight on our way to Burgundy. We enjoyed an excellent evening meal, and a good breakfast in the morning.
After a long drive from North-West Italy arriving at the hotel with its welcoming but old facade was a treat. Clean fresh rooms and a friendly personal welcome usually afforded only in the most expensive hotels set the tone of the place.
We were travelling well out of season but nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Evening meal was available in the attached restaurant, a good job since the rest of the sleepy viallage was very closed, and breakfast was served there too - a high quality restaurant serving exceptional food. Dinner was a bit pricey and perhaps a more affordable and simpler menu could have been available in the bar area.
All in all an excellent final stop before returning to the reality of daily life
We booked into the hotel for a one night stop-over on route to Italy. The hotel was close to the motorway, easy to find and has ample parking. The room was small but adequate, the bed was a small double but comfortable, I (not my wife), could detect a faint smell of dog, which are accepted in the hotel (and restaurant!!).
Restaurant food was good but very limited if you just wanted a light snack - there was an a-la-carte menu but expensive. We choose from the set menu @42 euros, the meal was good, well cooked and the staff were attentive (not much English was spoken but this could be because it was out of season). It had an extensive wine list with some very expensive wines but I question the ability of the young waiters to serve correctly so would not spend too much.
Breakfast (@ 13 euros) was unable to accommodate my wife who has a wheat intolerance so we decided to skip and eat on the motorway.
I would recommend for a short stay
2 star rooms with 5 star prices. No where else to go to eat so you are trapped in the hotel. Food is good but very expensive. €30 for a starter. No proper bar.
Very relaxing stay - lovely breakfast. Although the restaurant is quite expensive the food was excellent and well worth it for a special occasion. Very good service. The room was rather small but overall the hotel is very tastefully decorated and we really enjoyed our stay there. You can have a lovely walk around the nearby lake.
This was the last night of a gastronmic holiday in Germany and Italy and we thought we had chosen carefully for the one French stopover. Our double room (80e) was only just wide enough for a small double bed and only one of us could move in the room at any time. The airconditioning and wifi were welcome but the room was sad and there was some mould in the shower. This hotel is known for its restaurant; the cheapest menu is 42e. The food was OK but our local michelin starred restaurant serves a menu at under £30 and is in a completely different league. most of the food here was pre-prepared and this is not a menu which responds to the seasons or what is good on the day. Three separate amuse bouche courses but underwhelming. A campari and soda was £12. The service at these prices should have been sparkling and professional but the swarm of young staff were ill trained and didn't smile. 'Madame' was also non smiley and very casualy dressed. Check your bill when leaving - ours included breakfast which we didn't take. Looks lovely, lacks flavour! If you have a nostalgia for the kind of French hotel which has ideas above itself - book in now!
Good hotel, beautiful area.
Dinner Menu was a little restricted if staying for more than one night but this could be due to the fact that many travellers were not staying longer.
Strange arrangement in that the shower was at tap level on a bath and although it had a long hose, there was nowhere to fix it on the wall.
