The property itself was nice, just down the street from the train station. The 4 bedroom unit that we stayed in had a very strong sewer smell coming from one of the bathrooms in the bedroom which made the whole room smell terrible. The staff didn’t do anything to remedy the situation. For the amount of money paid, they really need to have that fixed. Otherwise, comfy beds and good enough for a couple nights.
Everything what we need was in kitchen
Great staff and nicely designed room. Although the gym is small and rooms could do with more lights in them.
Super Hotel, sauber und ordentlich. Das Personal war stets freundlich, fröhlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Gerne wieder in diesem Hotel.
Friendly staff but basic toiletries such as tooth brush and paste not provided.
We really enjoyed our stay here - comfy bed, Smart TV, a fully-kitted kitchen which had a sliding door to separate it from the bedroom was a great touch, heated towel rail in the bathroom, spacious room. We’d stay here again
Good location- close to transit and attractions. All staff were lovely and helpful. Good breakfast.
Fabulous
Beautiful cosy studio apartment. Very clean, modern, everything you could possibly need. Staff were excellent. Would stay again
Modern and comfortable Aparthotel. We stayed in 4-bed apartment. Would recommend.
Downside - careful we self locking rooms within the apartment so you do not lock yourself out, maybe not suitable if have younger children.
Great stay at this hotel. Staff were always very friendly and helpful especially on our arrival date helping us store our luggage before check in. The room was huge compared by London standards. We had a separate living room that we used for a pullout bed. The room also had a kitchen with fridge and microwave which was super helpful. It also had a small dining table. There is not a ton to do right outside the hotel, but it has great access to the underground and buses. If you are coming from Heathrow, the hotel is right off the Whitechapel Elizabeth line stop which is so covenient not to have change lines when arriving or departing for the airport
Absolutely phenomenal experience at Aparthotel Adagio London City East during my stay in the first week of July. I hadn’t originally planned to stay here, but after discovering my initial booking elsewhere didn’t have air conditioning (during an unseasonably warm London week) I scrambled for an alternative. What a fortunate twist of fate that turned out to be.
From the moment I arrived, the customer service was nothing short of impeccable - truly beyond white glove. The front desk team greeted me with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality, instantly turning what could’ve been a stressful travel hiccup into a smooth, welcoming transition. They were incredibly accommodating and made me feel not just like a guest, but genuinely looked after.
The facilities at Adagio London City East are outstanding. The entire hotel is modern, beautifully designed, and absolutely spotless. My room was serene, stylish, and most importantly during the heat - perfectly cool thanks to a modern and new AC system that made all the difference. The attention to detail in both comfort and cleanliness is evident everywhere.
In terms of location, it’s just a five-minute walk to Aldgate East tube station, it made getting around London a breeze, yet the hotel itself feels like a calm and quiet retreat from the city buzz.
The amenities are unmatched - from the well equipped kitchenette in the room to the thoughtfully curated communal spaces and beverage/snacks. 10/10 would recommend!
We booked this property last minute due to the fact that our original booking was extremely far away from London, so he wanted to be somewhere close to transportation with a few more amenities. The staff here is fantastic in every way shape or form. They really take pride in making sure that every guest is comfortable when our room wasn't ready. We were attended to every 10 minutes to give an update and provided refreshments that is above and beyond service. Every morning we were greeted when we came down to breakfast and anything that we needed was promptly executed. The neighborhood is the overall safe but can be a little bit noisy and there are a lot of men walking around in the evening which may make some people feel unsafe. However, we had no issues. I would highly recommend staying at this property. It is very close to transportation and the amenities are excellent
Muy buena experiencia. Atencion muy amable del personal. Todos los servicios disponibles. Cómodo y bien situado.
We are a family of 6 adults and 1 child and we stayed in the 4 bedroom apartment and it was fantastic. 4 en suite bedrooms connected to a well equipped lounge/kitchen area. We were impressed by extra touches such as work out equipment and luggage scales available in the apartment. Great check in with beverages offered on arrival and you can borrow games and books from the reception library. They have a kitchen space downstairs near the lobby area that you can use if you don't want to cook directly in your apartment. Great if you had booked a studio. We saw a group if around 15 people taking advantage of this area, was really lovely to see. So well thought about. Easy underground access at either whitechapel or aldgate east. Whitechapel is step free which is especially great when you have luggage and a buggy and the it is a 5 minute walk. Nice location with Brick Lane and Spitalgate market within walking distance. Convenience stores nearby if you need food. You can drop bags off before your check in time. Had an issue with keys not working when we arrived, however dealt with effortlessly by the staff. Highly recommend for any large group travelling together.
At midnight on my last night, I went to reception to request police assistance due to extreme noise from a backyard party. Instead of taking action, staff told me they first needed to "verify the truth" of my complaint. Our room faced the yard directly, where a loud birthday celebration continued until 4 AM.
The only "solution" offered was to close the window and turn on the AC. I explained this wasn’t possible due to a cold—the dry air from the AC triggers severe coughing fits. Despite closed windows, the nonexistent soundproofing made sleep impossible. By morning, my cold had worsened to the point of losing my voice.
Additional issues:
Breakfast was pitiful—only greasy pork sausages for protein, zero vegetables.
This isn’t hospitality—it’s negligence. Never again.
The hotel was great--the room was very clean and well designed, with pretty much every amenity we could wish for, and excellent air conditioning during a heat wave (windows couldn't be opened). Staff were friendly and helpful. Inside the room, it was quiet. The area was very lively and busy and it was often very crowded on Whitechapel Road, day and night, either when the market was going on, or at other times when people would often stand around in clumps blocking the sidewalk. I never really felt unsafe, but the crowds got me down as they made it difficult to get from A to B. But that's not the hotel's fault! On a positive note, it's very close to central London and convenient for the Tube and Heathrow, with the District, Hammersmith & City, and Elizabeth lines all going through Whitechapel. Next time I would stay in a less busy spot (I fly to London fairly regularly but this was my first time staying in Whitechapel). If this hotel was in a quieter area, I would stay again in a heartbeat. :)
Had a excellent stay at the aparthotel adagio London city east. Except for the very beginning (which was not the fault of the hotel) but from my credit card company (but let me say that the hotel manager helped me out, thankfully). Aside from that little hiccup, which once again, I emphasize that had nothing to do with the hotel, I had no complaints.
