Pros:

Rooms were small but clean and adequate. Very little hanging space but extra hangers were available when asked.

The Merica Hotel Chengdu Changxi Road is an excellent value for the cost. Rooms with windows are very small. Rooms without windows are much larger, but do not offer any extra storage or seating vs rooms with windows. Easy walk to shopping, food, and several museums and park.

Merica Hotel locates in a small alleyway near the center of Chengdu. The room is small, but we had our best meal in a restaurant next door.

Pros:

Small new hotel, with small amount of facilities, but they offer all the key stuff. The wifi was great and the laundry facilities are fantastic and totally free. Much better than many big hotels.
Right above an excellent restaurant, good spot to try Sichuanese cuisine.
