Adventures on the Gorge

Nice, quiet very comfortable place to stay. Only expectation not met was there was no place on premises open for either breakfast on Friday AM or dinner on Thu evening when we arrived- despite a few restaurants and a cafe on- site inspite of it being busy season- onset of Fall amd river- rafting.

Beautiful area! Would stay again with more time to explore area and enjoy additional amenities.

We arrived late night. The area was very dark. Seems nice area nature wise. But didn’t have good experience staying there. The bed was very uncomfortable and squeaky. There was lot of hair around the sink and bathtub. Wouldn’t stay there again.

If you have an early rafting trip, perfect place to stay. Quiet and convenient

Aside from the atmosphere of being nestled away in the woods, the adventures and activities they have to iffer are amazing. Especially, the gravity zipline tour. Ryan, Cam, and Heidi were amazing guides!!! We had such a blast!

Great for families. Cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Onsite activities were awesome and staff/West Virginia folks were the nicest people. Fayetteville town was great and we enjoyed Cathedral for breakfast and Cantrall’s for chili dogs.

Hotel would be beyond perfect if they added a hot tub and game room for kids! But really it’s perfect!!!

I thought it was not advertised properly. Expected a lodge instead of a shared cabin. I did not like having to take out my own garbage. Thought I paid plenty for them to do it.

The cabin itself was suffient, but not extraordinary. Location was great! Eveything is the resort was walkable, trails nearby, and lots of activities to do. The pool was really pretty and clean. Coffe shop, dinning and pool on site was excellent. Fayetteville was a short drive to out of the resort to eat.

A fantastic and peaceful getaway surrounded by nature

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The area is absolutely beautiful – peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by nature, making it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. My room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable.

What stood out most was the warm and welcoming atmosphere. From check-in to check-out, the staff were always friendly, helpful, and courteous, making me feel right at home.

There's no shortage of attractions either. The area is full of attractions and great opportunities for activities, whether you enjoy hiking, cycling, or simply sightseeing. Nearby restaurants and shops also offer a wide selection, so there's something for everyone.

Overall, this place exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing yet active getaway in the great outdoors.

This was a great spot. Clean and comfy.

It was so clean and peaceful. I loved that the property ambiance gives you that woodsy/cabin feel but it contains very clean and high-quality grounds. Staff at reception was helpful. Note that you may need a car to navigate within the resort, meaning from your cabin to the check-in building and pool areas.

I really enjoyed my stay at Adventures on the Gorge. The resort had everything you needed a nice store, multiple food/bar options, a pool with a great view and easy access for outdoor activities. The whole resort was very clean and well taken care of. The Kaymoor Cabins were very clean and comfortable, I was happy with my decision to stay here even though I did not participate in any outdoor excursions.

Adventures on the Gorge was super convenient to all activities awaiting you to explore and participate in while visiting the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve! Beautiful place! I had a fabulous experience!
