Econo Lodge Manistee

Very friendly and nice staff . But lacking in certain areas that need up grading. We have stayed before in the old part but they have since opened or connected to a different building and that's definitely needing some improvement.

Check in was friendly, the room itself was great very clean and comfortable. The hallway smelled very unpleasant and the pool looked sort of like dirt had settled at the bottom and then too much chlorine got put in to tey to counteract. Overall I was pleased with this day the bed was comfortable and that's the most important part to me along with the cleanliness of the room.

Got the King Suite specifically for the 2 person hot tub. It has no jets, just air bubbles from the bottom. Only one ice machine for a large motel. Pool and hot tub were nice but pool surface needs refinishing. Great location

Very comfy bed and excellent pillows! Quiet too.

The hotel is too over priced. The fridge was leaking and the hair dryer did not work.

Stayed here after crossing Lake Michigan via the SS Badger from Wisconsin. This was my second time staying here as it was convenient and of good value the year prior when I did the same motorcycle trip. The hot tub was welcoming, as was the staff. The rooms were clean, and I loved the pillows. No funky smells. The hot tub could’ve used a cleaning - the bottom was beginning to accumulate a slipperiness. Other than that, it’s always been right on the money for the convenience, comfort, and service.

Everything was very nice. Clean and did have a hot breakfast.

Upgraded facilities over the years

It was nice. Older building but they took care of it. The only complaint was the breakfast. Not many options.

The friendliness of the staff and the comfort of the bed were the only reason this stay wasn’t an absolutely horrible experience.

Checked in and checked out the same day-within 5 minutes of checking in. We found dead and live bugs (cockroaches) in our room! They offered another room, but where there's one roach there's sure to be others. They would not give us a refund. Wouldn't recommend staying there.

Very nice location-but ltl musty smell&pool&hot tub no bueno!

I was greeted by a kind staff member and checked in, after finding our room we found spiderwebs with some fat spiders attached right in the door frame to get into our room, as we got in a strong moldy/musty smell hit us and we found the room to be in very poor condition. My wife and I did not feel comfortable/safe staying, let alone having our child in this environment. I went to talk to the gentleman that checked me in and he attempted to show me another room to try and help us because of how late it was and when seeing the room, it was in a little better condition but still had that musty smell to it. I ended up thanking him for his time but our mind had been made the second we entered the first room. For one it’s not worth the price they listed, even during a holiday weekend. We did not end up staying. I would not recommend this Lodge to anyone bringing their family up, the pictures are fabricated to make it look a lot more appealing than what it actually was.
