After booking the hotel and paying the security deposit we did not get our check in information until it late the day of when we had to be checked in by 10 pm before a late fee. We checked in after getting the instructions, walked into the room and the key was not there. We contacted host and were not able to get key. My wife went on the bed and it collapsed. The bathroom light stoped working the next day. Aside from all of that the view from the rental was nice and it was in a good area.
Before booking make sure its availablity because they lead you all the way there and have no rooms after confirmation not good service AT ALL
I booked what was advertised as a townhouse for 4 guests in Toronto during one of the city’s busiest weeks. What I received was a dirty, cramped two-bedroom apartment that looked nothing like the listing. The unit was covered in human hair and clearly had not been cleaned properly.
Because all other hotels in the city were booked, we were forced to stay in the unit partially and pay over $2,500 out of pocket for another hotel to accommodate the rest of our team.
To make matters worse, the host demanded a $500 e-transfer deposit off-platform, violating Expedia’s own terms of service — a deposit I have never received back. The host admitted the mistake on multiple phone calls and kept promising a resolution that never came. I have over seven calls documented.
