I live local and had plans to use the Hotel for my parents to stay and visit me. They can not longer stay at my home due to reduced mobility issues and my mum can not use the stairs. The staff were amazing very friendly and so helpful I can not give then enough credit. the room was very clean and the experience with the staff was 10/10.
The main reason I'm writing this review is to warn future guests who are travelling to stay at the hotel with a blue badge. There is a drop off period of 20mins then all guest have to pay for parking even if you display a blue badge. I have received a Parking Charge from parkmaven of £100 because I went over the drop off period by 2:30 min's. despite being the only person available to safety assist both parents with their mobility issues, manage their mobility equipment, and transport their belongings to their room.
I hope the management team will read this, review and change the drop off policy for future guest's. I'm so sorry to the staff who work at this hotel all your hard work has been overshadowed by this private parking company and their disgraceful parking fine. Management team should also have a read of the Equality Act 2010, especially the line about service providers including parking operators acting on behalf of a hotel required to make reasonable adjustments for disabled people and those supporting them.
We stayed here end of November for one night, for a visit to chatsworth Christmas market.
We had a really good stay, room was clean, bed comfy, although I personally found the pillows uncomfortable on my neck.
The staff were really friendly.
We had breakfast in the morning. I’m coeliac and dairy intolerant so eating out is always a worry. I was given the allergen menu upon asking to have a look at. The girl serving on the counter to book us in for breakfast in the morning said she would wash all my cutlery and plates, and my hot food would be cooked separately. My toast would be cooked under the grill separately also.
The allergen menu was really easy to navigate and read. There were plenty of options for me to eat. Gf cereal, alternative milk, although I took my own almond milk. Hot options, including a vegan sausage (no gf meat sausage) - I’m not vegan, but the vegan sausage was horrid. I had gf bread, and df spread on the buffet area in separate packages.
The food was nice, and I felt safe eating here, so nice that they are very aware of how to deal with coeliac disease and allergies.
I would like to thank the staff, and especially Charlotte who served me on the morning of 26th November. Extremely helpful, and many thanks. As eating out is always really stressful.
Excellent experience, warm welcome at reception, room clean and tidy and breakfast was very enjoyable. The staff were brilliant always offering assistance and overall excellent value for money.
Went with two friends and stayed 4 nights. Best part of Premier Inn Buxton - the staff, all very friendly and helpful. Do a good meal deal if you have breakfast and evening meal, well worth it.
Down points, sofas in bar area, could do with replacing or re upholstering. There are some areas that could do with a bit of TLC.
Lovely room very clean eveywhere, staff were very friendly and food was excellent, we will be staying again highly recommend this one
Lovely attentive staff, always with a smile on their faces! Everyone is so helpful all the time and is always willing to get you what you need :)
Very friendly staff, room was clean and bed was comfy.
The majority of breakfast was excellent, beans could have been a bit warmer but the sausages and bacon were good quality and cooked how I like them.
The staff were brilliant - particularly Molly, but nothing was too much trouble for any of them.
We were staying in an accessible room which was really well equipped and very comfortable.
Breakfast was amazing too - plenty of everything and all piping hot.
I thought I'd be writing a good review for this hotel, our accessible room was spacious and clean, with a blissfully comfortable bed.
Unfortunately, we ate dinner there, and breakfast the following morning, and 12 hours after checking out I started with food poisoning symptoms and have been ill since.
Daughter and I had a lovely stay here. I personally love a premier inn and this one did not disappoint. the service in the restaurant was fantastic (Jamie I think) and food arrived quickly and was delicious.
Stay anywhere else, or be prepared to pay an extra £100 a night for parking. There payment system is designed to trip you up. You have been warned!!
we spent a long weekend here for our planned visit to chatsworth house.
we found that this premier inn is clean tidy and comfortable.
we also found the staff were excellent, polite and very helpful
they also gave us some very helpful information in regards to chatsworth house to help us plan our day out.
the food here is also very nice

Quiet rooms, clean, your usual Premier Inn hotel.
Except - GREAT service and humour - even an offer (tongue in cheek) to cut up my dinner because of a bandage around two of my fingers!
Always good at this location.
Had a great stay at the permier inn, buxton. The room was spacious, and clean ,the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was great and lots of it with plenty of choice. Overall, a great experience and ill definitely be returning for another stay.
Convenient and reasonably comfortable except the rooms were a bit smelly - a bit look old socks & damp carpet!! Moved room & though a bit better I went out & bought a scented room spray!! Evening meal ok.. plenty of choice & meal deal was good value. Breakfast excellent. Rooms & dining room in need of a refurb. Comfy beds & a good nights sleep!! Good parking but at a cost!
Very impressed with this hotel. Staff were really welcoming, bedroom was clean and tidy. Beds comfortable. Literally no complaints. Would highly recommend.
What a lovely hotel. Immaculately clean, with the best breakfast we have had for ages. We chose a Premier Plus room and loved it. Great views and great bathroom. The fridge was great as we like to use fresh milk. The staff were efficient, friendly and helpful.
Horrible experience. £300 to stay in one room with soiled sheets, and to be moved to another with blood stained ceiling. Very dissapointed
Great location for visiting Buxton City Centre and Bakewell. Polite friendly staff. Great breakfast. Looking forward to returning.
We’ve stayed here many times. Premier Inn is a go to because normally you know what you will get and that includes a comfortable, good night’s sleep, undisturbed, in a clean room. Not this time. We had two nights in room 111 - which was fine except the room was far too hot (the air con wouldn’t go below 19, but the temperature in the room was way above). However, our third night was in room 4.
We were exhausted from the day’s activities and just needed a good night’s sleep. The air con was set at 27 (!) when we got in the room and it was oppressive. However, it did cool slightly when I turned it down - this one went to 17. Again, no actual cooling and a trickle of less warm air came out of the vent.
That wasn’t the worst. We went to bed early as we were exhausted and were woken by the occupants of Room 6. The rooms had interconnecting doors. We could hear every word of their conversations. Which were intermittent so just as we dropped off we were woken again.
The light of day highlighted how filthy the room was. Furniture caked in dust (I could feel it in my throat too), skirting boards had a layer of dust, and there were cobwebs on the walls.
Really, really, disappointed as this is not the standard or the experience we have come to expect.
We brought these to the attention of a staff member at check out whose response was “awww, sorry”. Great service Premier Inn!
