The Z Hotel Shoreditch

Some of the rooms with a view do not match what is advertised. The rooms flooring feels very cheap, and they do not change your sheets when they clean the rooms.

Great room for a a night or two, compact and very comfortable

We previously stayed here in 2018 and it was great, the wine and cheese hour was fabulous but this round was very disappointing. Staff was a bit sterile this go around and we got put into the basement which was very noisy as we heard the subway and even staff early in the AM. It was easy to catch public transportation from the hotel but overall would suggest picking a different hotel if budget allows.

Perfect location to get around london right outside old street station, plenty food around hotel too! Room was clean, on the small side but ideal for a solo trip but also acceptable for a couple trip providing you dont mind having not much room to walk around. This is based on the room without a window. It had air-conditioning but it wasn't that great/powerful so didnt seem to make much of a difference. Room was quiet but occasionally could hear the underground but wasn't too excessive. Its really ideal if its just somewhere to put your head for the night but not if you were going to be staying in the room for long periods or having to take awhile to get ready to go out.

Small room but perfectly comfortable & adequate for a one night stay at reasonable price considering the area it is close to although to be honest really should be half that price but that’s across the board on all hotels imo everywhere since Covid .. prices everywhere are crazy now for accommodation

The room was very noisy with a water system for the air con for the hotel constantly filling. the basement room is also close to the main Old Street underground which can be heard clearly. IMO this should not be a bedroom

This place was awesome. Great neighbourhood and super comfy bed. It was perfect for our needs!

This was a great hotel. Super convenient for the underground and Liverpool Street station. Most of all, I want to call out the staff who were exceptional.

I noticed a mistake with my booking dates and contacted them immediately after booking (weeks before my stay) but there was nothing they would do to support. This is worse than the service offered by notoriously low-service airline Ryanair.

The room I'd paid extra for 'with a window' was underground with the window blocked out by a smoking shelter or similar. The air conditioning was very noisy and kept waking me up through the night. The window blind was broken.

I was moved to another room for my second night which was much nicer and in better condition. I've stayed here before but this experience was poor overall.

I stayed at the windowless room. I was a bit apprehensive at first but it ended up being a very comfortable stay. If anything it was a quiet cocoon in the middle of the bustling city. The staff should also be commended for their hospitality

The air conditioners in our rooms did not work. While the rooms were fine and mostly what we expected, do not book this hotel if you're booking it for the air conditioner.

Great location, quiet modern room, comfortable bed.

I had little nats in my room. Even after it had been cleaned. Room was super small but it was the little flying bugs that really creeped me out

Can hear and feel the underground vibration from 6am. Can't sleep in! Ruined a nice stay. Didn't know beforehand. Small but sleek, neat rooms.

Aircon was quite loud even on low fan

It was a good stay and staff were very friendly but my bathroom did flood when I showered and it leaked into the room.

Room 27 on the lower ground floor sufferers from constant noise from the Tube. Impossible to sleep.

Rooms are compact but comfortable and clean. Old Street station is very close too.
