I went to Mathura with my family. I stayed in Wingston Hotel Mathura. Hotel is very beautiful and room are also very comfortable. Staff in the restaurant and room service is polite and well behaved. We had food in the restaurant food was very tasty and service was very prompt. Overall our stay in Wingston Hotel was memorable.
I stayed with my colleague in Wingston A treehouse hotel Mathura. Location was perfect very near to NH2. Room was clean and looking shoo cozy, especially newly renovated rooms are amazing. Overall room, location, restaurant and bar is excellent. I enjoyed my journey with friends. Wingston has made my journey so memorable. Thanks to management and team Wingston.
I would give negative stars if the option was available. Terrible hotel. Very dirty. The hotel is very far from the station. The staff is rude and downright dismissive. They don’t even acknowledge your existence. We stayed there from oct 25-27. But the place was terrible. We paid for early check in as well, but they gave us a room with broken tiles, missing shower curtain, broken toilet paper stand. See photos. We went for breakfast, which was supposed to start at 7:30, but was not open till 7:50 am. The food was not enough for even 10 people. The server was extremely rude. First day they served poha which was extremely oily and raw. I actually threw up after eating their food. We requested chai 5 times before they bothered to listen to us. Also, the staff seems particularly disposed to ignoring Indians, while preferring to cater to foreigners. You can talk, request , they won’t even look at you if you are not white. If you are at the breakfast at the same time as non-colored people, be prepared to be treated as crap. Not to mention the hotel was under construction and you could hear noise all day. It was constant banging till 11 pm in the night. Our A/C was also not working. Finally, we were suffocating in the room so we asked them outright why they have given us such a room. Then they changed our room to a much better room, but their service was still horrible. We just skipped any breakfast in their hotel after that. I was took scared to try. Please avoid.
It is also hard to get transportation to and from the hotel as it is so far off the center.
Very very poor services not recommended at all. No response from staff.
Staff treatment not well. Grooming of staff and room services need to improvise.
My family suffered for basic services very bad experience.
Very poor services
There was no water in the washroom .
Washroom that too female washroom was so so so very dirty . No water in the flush . So bad smell was coming in the washroom . And staff is very rude n non friendly
I recently visited this hotel for dinner. The hotel was awesome . Mainly the main thing the air conditioner was properly working in this hot weather. The food was awesome. And one one of the main thing is that staff behaviour is very good and kind. I personally asked his name because of its excellent service . He tell his name Prem. The guy was excellent and very nice. I will recommend every body for food and service
Very quick service. Comfortable stay . Delicious food . Neat and clean rooms. Nicely located . Good parking space . Helping staff . Room service is quick . Budget friendly . Have stayed there twice. Huge lawn
Staff is courteous especially Front office Duty managers 24 by 7, Breakfast menu just had three options and not much. Service is slow. Room service is lethargic. Hotel needs an upgrade on infrastructure. We also had lunch and dinner where food tasted very good but they don't serve you where as charges are of fine dine restaurant.
1. Decent hotel with parking space for 15 to 20 cars inside. There is ample paid parking space in front as well.
2. Room was good and spacious. We booked a suite which was perfect for 4 to 5 persons.
3. Location is awesome. You could start parikrama bare foot from the hotel itself.
4. Food was good. Only issue we faced that they were struggling to get the food in time considering rush orders coming in morning.
5. Hot water was promptly coming. No issue in that despite severe cold. We asked for two extra blankets but they could provide only one. That was a set back. Alternatively they can think of arranging a room blower. Room was severely cold due to cold weather outside.
All in all a nice stay in nutshell.
The property is big, but not maintained.
Staff doesn't know hot to treat and great buisness class travellers.Rooms are OK it good views from the window. You get a bath tub in the washroom to take showers.
Hotel doesnt give you Iron nor do they have quick laundry service.
Food is good, but they don't offer any non veg in the hotel.Poorly maintained hotel for any buisness conference or seminars.
The hotel was fine with ok basic amenities though internet was slow and not working previously. food was good not that bad also overall it was satisfactory and location is also convenient. It was a ok experience .
Occupied 2 Rooms with my relative families on the occasion of Guria Purnima Mela 2018, for goverdhan parikrima on 25.7.18.since anshuman stayed here twice or thrice, and no other option available during the visit and stay in Mela and in such crowd in holy town, no way to go here and there,we occupied this hotel. Rooms were good enough but basic amenities found missing, no tea milk pouches and tea cattle were there, despite complaint of TV not working, staff started the same today itself, found dust particles on the curtains, although WiFi was provided but of no use since poor signals and banned for WhatsApp & Facebook type social sites, bathroom fillings were done on demand. Few good things as vital parking space, good location, lift facility and attractive building. Rooms may be booked through MMT etc sites in seasons else negotiable, may say value for money if services provided upto Mark,Hot and cold water available all seasons but water provided in bathrooms tab was salty.
No more comments over service due to short stay in Mela season.
We very well appreciate the expectations of people visiting Mathura. The Wingston Hotel, Mathura is fully equipped to live up to everyone's expectations. A real representative of Mathura, every part and every aspect of Wingston Mathura is infused with splendor, luxury and spiritual air. Utmost care has been taken to standardize every aspect of the hotel with the best international standards.
Not a luxury property but adequate and safe behind a wall and gate. Spent two nights during Holi Festival and had few complaints. We had issues with the internet connection and had to wait until the IT guy came to the hotel well after dinner.
I and my wife stayed there since we had to attend a family function nearby. The rooms are a bit small but comfortable. The staff was friendly as well.
But there is definitely a scope of improvement for the restaurant service. A mere order of single cup of tea with a club sandwich took ages. However both tea and sandwich were good.
Over all a good stay
For a day stop-over in Mathura, we chose this place after staying a couple of nights at their Govardhan Hotel. This one pales in comparison...both in room size as well as food. The rooms are extremely small and with a double bed and a small table along with the TV unit and dresser etc, with the bags....it is extremely crowded and almost claustrophobic. But the staff was extremely friendly and courteous.
The breakfast we ordered was a letdown - aloo parathas were just okay with a lot of masala and the toast was burnt and the tea could be a lot better.
We had come to this Mathura Hotel with high hopes after staying at Wingston in Govardhan. But this was a huge disappointment.
This is a well established luxury budget hotel in Mathura. They Have Executive room and Suite room. One can choose the type of room as per his convenience and budget. All rooms are furnished with modern facilities and are the best available option for the guest probing for best priced rooms in budget hotels.
Area the breakfast served was OK.. Rooms are pretty regular..they offer Air Condition.. In All i felt that this is better place for the business man as its situated where crowd are less. Its like one time Visit
In this area of "Brajbhumi" this hotel is better than even some of those in Mathura and Vrindavan.
The only issue with this property is that their phone numbers on the website either is inaccessible or the lady who picks up barely responds.
The hotel offers a fixed breakfast - vegetarian food without much variety.
The people however are very courteous and helpful.
The chef definitely caters to your choice of low spice, bland etc in the cuisine.
There is ample parking space and since it's off the main road, the crowd is less too.
Overall, we had a very comfortable stay.
We were visiting Mathura for a family wedding in feb 2017. We decided to book a nice hotel based on the reviews on TripAdvisor and picked Wingston. We were very disappointed with the hotel staff and the quality of rooms and service is below 3 star. The hotel had a lots of mosquitoes, its dark and not very clean. Got sick every time we ate at the restaurant. We never saw any other guests there for 2 days we were there.
The most disappointing thing was that the salon staff was dishonest. I used the salon for facial treatment during our stay. The beautician asked me to take off my gold jewellery around my neck and put it on the counter in front of me. I totally forgot to pick up my jewellery after I finished the treatment. When i returned back to pick it up......to my disappointment it was gone and there had been no other customer between the visit. The beautician denied seeing the jewellery at all.
We ended up changing hotels and moved to Brijwasi Lands Inn across the road which was much cleaner and nicer.
Surely never recommending the hotel to anyone.
