everything about Boen Gard was exceptional. The value for money was brilliant. From the check in to check out, everything in between was superb. The staff were top tier, food was exquisite, the buildings were beautiful with a lot of history. The rooms very very clean and very comfortable and in addition a personal welcome note. Nothing to fault about our experience. Will continue to recommend to people.

Parfait. Le domaine est grand et calme. C’est paisible. La chambre est super bien renové. Jolie salle de bain. Lit super confortable. On a l’impression de dormir dans un nuage. Et le repas est délicieux. C est un restaurant gastronomique donc il faut le savoir. Mais la cuisine est délicieuse. Je les vois bien avoir une étoile Michelin prochainement.

A most beautiful property about 15 minutes from downtown Kristiansand. Rooms were large and comfy with lovely decor. The grounds were beautiful to walk around and, if weather had permitted, we definitely would’ve spent more time on the river bank. Pierre was a great sommelier accommodating our needs in a sweet and kind way.

Veldig komfortabelt. Innkvartering i flott oppusset hus. Svært serviceminded stab og fantastisk mat. I det hele tatt en flott opplevelse.

An sich eine wunderbare Location! Toll gelegen und ein ganz besonderer Charme. Die Küche ist herausragend!

Leider hatten wir etwas Pech mit einigen Dingen: Unser Zimmer war extrem hellhörig. Jedes Rücken eines Stuhles und jeder Gang war leider zu hören und hat uns leider auch den Schlaf gestört. Etwas Befremdlich war auch, dass es keinen Schrank oder Kommode für die Sachen gibt. Das heißt, dass man sprichwörtlich aus dem Koffer lebt. Dann wurden wir aufgefordert in ein anderes Hotel zu ziehen, da man übersehen hat, dass eine Hochzeitsgesellschaft kommt und unser Zimmer wohl doppelt vergeben wurde. Das war eine sehr unangenehme Erfahrung. Nach ein paar SMS und einem Gespräch mit der Hotelmanagerin wurde dies geklärt und wir blieben. Das Zimmer wurde einmal nicht gereinigt und nicht mit frischen Handtüchern bestückt und die Zimmerkarte wurde einen Tag zu früh deaktiviert. Deshalb gibt es von uns deutlichen Punktabzug für ein sonst tolles Hotel in einer typisch norwegischen schönen Umgebung.

Just a fantastic place to stay. The location is serene and the facilities impeccable. The staff were extremely pleasant and nothing was to much trouble. Breakfast was lovely. Would have stayed longer if I could. Very comfortable rooms and great Wi-Fi.

We spent a great night over in the hotel. The territory, the nature (the waterfall also), the window views – everything looked fantastic! The hotel is very nice and pretty, it is evident how the hotel staff take care of it and cherish it. This is a very well-designed space with unique amenities.
The restaurant wine list was one of the biggest we have seen in Norway, it is really variable. Although, I would like to point out some important observations that other tourists might find helpful when planning their stay
