Relaxing stay and a good location.
Pros:

We requested an early breakfast for 5.30 as we had to catch an early ferry and were very happy with the continental breakfast provided in the restaurant. We like the emphasis on looking after the environment and the gardens and our private terrace outside the room.
The location. We liked the position of the hotel above the town and only a short distance from the ferry port. We loved the sunny terraces and many swimming pools and opportunities for rest, relaxing and exercise.
We would book again, for a longer stay if we travel to Gomera again.

Cons:

More milk provided for tea making in the bedroom. English people like their tea. We were concerned we might lose the room key. An alternative system for having it on one’s person? A choice of a lanyard?

Cons:

Nowy obiekt, poza miastem, można spędzać czas korzystając z basenów, spa, restauracji. A jednocześnie cała Gomera jest tuż obok.

Pros:

Der erste Eindruck war bestens: Der Empfang wie in einem 5*-Haus, das Resort modern und architektonisch interessant, das Zimmer ruhig gelegen und gross, der Ausblick auf das Meer (trotz gebuchtem Zimmer mit Gartenblick) fantastisch. La Gomera ist eine wunderschöne Insel und eine Erkundung per Mietauto ist empfehlenswert, gratis Parkplätze stehen reichlich zur Verfügung, einige davon in einem Parkhaus mit erstaunlich vielen Pfosten.

Cons:

Leider konnte das anfänglich sehr hohe Niveau nicht konsequent fortgeführt werden und einige Dinge schienen zufällig mal sehr gut, mal mangelhaft zu sein, besonders das Frühstück und Abendessen in Buffet-Form. An einem Tag ist der Service super aufmerksam, nimmt zeitnah die Getränkewünsche entgegen und räumt die leeren Teller sofort ab, am nächsten Tag wartet man vergeblich auf den Service, erhält die falschen Getränke und die Teller werden nicht abgeräumt. An einem Tag sind die Speisen warm, qualitativ hochstehendes Fleisch/Fisch wird frisch zubereitet und ist bis zum Schluss verfügbar, am anderen Tag sind die Hälfte der Speisen kalt und wenn die begehrten Speisen weg sind, sind sie für den Rest des Morgens/Abends weg. Diese Zufallsfunktion fand sich auch bei der Zimmerreinigung wieder. Und selbst das kühle Check-out deutete darauf hin, dass je nach Persönlichkeit oder Laune der Angestellten in diesem Hotel total unterschiedliche Erfahrungen gemacht werden können. Vermutlich ist es mit knapp 300 Zimmern auf einer Insel mit nicht mal 25'000 Einwohnern auch einfach zu gross.
