Splendour Residence

Dit is een geweldig 5* hotel met een adembenemend uitzicht over de lake. De hosts en werknemers zijn fantastisch en hebben ons goed verzorgd. Zij staan altijd voor je klaar en de host heeft ook een prive boot trip voor ons geregeld voor een goede prijs. De kamer is super groot en schoon. Het is de ideale plek om tot rust te komen. Wij komen zeker terug!

Мы с мужем провели 2 недели в гостях у Нирошана и Лакшми. Все правда, что показано на фото и написано в предыдущих отзывах - это рай: и закаты, и озеро, и та забота, которой каждую минуту окутывает вас персонал. Отелю 3 года, дизайнерский ремонт, огромные номера, чудесный тенистый бассейн, прекрасная веранда в зарослях деревьев с видом на воду. Как только вы спуститесь с дороги на ресепшен (дада, отель построен на горе, и чтобы попасть внутрь нужно спуститься вниз) - вы сразу попадете в другой мир.
Хочу отметить, что вы покупаете только bed and breakfast, но фактически получаете решение всех возможных запросов экспата в чужой стране - поменять деньги, арендовать транспорт, получить любое блюдо по запросу, выбрать экскурсию, купить любые товары по лучшим ценам и качеству, решить вопросы со страховой или тур оператором - Нирошан поможет вам с любой просьбой. На любом языке, в любое время суток, любая ваша проблема сразу становится общей - это бесценно! Также имейте в виду, что он 15 лет работал на кухнях лучших отелей страны, другого такого повара вы не найдете поблизости. Лакшми своей красотой и дружелюбием также скрасит ваш отпуск, а также окутает теплом - они невероятно сердечные люди, и энергетика этого месте вас точно покорит. В отеле 7 номеров, но в нем постоянно присутствует человек 6-7-8 человек персонала - все они чудеснейшие добрые люди, которые ежеминутно работают над вашим комфортом.
Ближайший к отелю пляж - самый лучший на западном побережье, мы арендовали машину на весь срок и объехали полстраны - в декабре-январе это лучшее место для купания - безлюдное и не слишком бурливое море с красивыми камнями для лучших фото. Также у порога очень колоритный буддийский храм. На повороте с основной улицы есть 2 винных магазина (алкоголь на острове продают только государственные магазины с закрепленными ценами - они выглядят странно, вы не пропустите). Налево на первом перекрестке - большой по местным меркам супермаркет, фруктовый и рыбный рынок.

Знакомство с Шри Ланкой началось с данного отелья!Отличный отель! Дизайн, архитектура, ландшафт продуман до мелочей! Уютный небольшой отель! Большие номера, шикарные завтраки! И главное -это хозяева и персонал. Выше всех похвал! Чуткие, внимательные к постояльцам. Ресторан со вечными блюдами! Мы по окончанию отпуска вернулись на последний день в данный отель. Хотелось зафиналить наш трип в красивом и приятном месте!

Superb location, views, staff, hotel design, pool, spacious rooms & great food!

The hotel stay was very comfortable and relaxing, with clean rooms and friendly staff who made check-in easy. The amenities were well maintained, and the location was convenient for exploring nearby attractions. The food was extremely good made fresh for each meal. There was nothing we did not like and we will be visiting again soon!

We had an exceptional stay at Splendor Residence and can only give our highest recommendation.
The rooms are very spacious, spotlessly clean and beautifully designed. Everything feels stylish and well thought out. We especially loved the large balcony, the fridge, the very comfortable soft bed, and the reliable Wi-Fi.
A true highlight was the bathroom – absolutely stunning. The best shower we’ve had in Sri Lanka, honestly better than many showers back home in Germany. The rooms are simply excellent.
The location is idyllic and peaceful, hidden in the forest next to a beautiful lake. It’s incredibly quiet, surrounded by nature, and you can spot many animals and birds. We did a boat tour on the lake to the islands, which was fantastic – lots of birds and a truly special atmosphere.
A very special mention goes to Niroshan, the host and owner. He is the best host you could possibly imagine. You immediately feel that this place is his life’s project. He built everything piece by piece, on his own, with incredible passion, attention to detail and heart – and it truly shows in every corner of the property. Together with his wife, they were always kind, attentive, warm and genuinely caring. Every wish was fulfilled without hesitation. This was one of the best services we’ve ever experienced anywhere.
And then the food… absolutely outstanding. Niroshan cooks himself, and you can clearly tell that he is a professionally trained chef. Every dish was perfectly seasoned, incredibly tasty and full of flavor – we never had to add anything.
The Rice & Curry was phenomenal, easily one of the best we had in Sri Lanka.
We also spent New Year’s Eve here, with a wonderful special menu and a lovely program with artists – it was a truly memorable and beautiful evening.
The pool was perfectly clean, and swimming there every morning was a joy.
Price–performance is excellent, there are honestly no points of criticism, no suggestions for improvement – everything was spot on.

It’s a real gem of a place, where nature meets comfort. We loved our room and the spectacular views it offered over the lake. It’s a family run small hotel and the owners as well as the staff go out of their way to make you have a unforgettable experience. The food was home cooked and delicious and the pool simply stunning.

The view is amazing, overlooking the Lake with panoramic view, the staff were amazing, the hotel owner himself welcomed us, the team is so helpful and the breakfast was delicious, it's definitely the best value for money hotel I've been to.

Niroshan und seine Frau sind wunderbare Gastgeber und wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen! Das Essen vor Ort ist wunderbar, frisch und super lecker.

موقع الفندق ممتاز للاسترخاء والاستجمام، والطبيعة المحيطة جميلة. كما أن معاملة الموظفين كانت ممتازة جدًا، ودودين ومتعاونين وهذا يُحسب لهم.
لكن للأسف، نظافة الغرفة كانت سيئة، حيث وُجدت حشرات داخل الغرفة، ومع مرور الأيام زاد عددها، مما سبب إزعاجًا وعدم راحة أثناء الإقامة.
منطقة الفندق هادئة جدًا، لكن في الليل تشعر بعدم الأمان، فالشارع مظلم ولا تتوفر أي خدمات قريبة من الفندق.
هناك ملاحظة مهمة أيضًا، وهي صعوبة التواصل مع الاستقبال في وقت متأخر من الليل، حيث يكون الموظفون نائمين، ولا يوجد أحد في الاستقبال، كما لا يوجد هاتف داخل الغرفة للتواصل معهم عند الحاجة.
إضافة إلى ذلك، أثناء هطول أمطار غزيرة، انقطعت الكهرباء مرتين، وهذا أمر مستغرب في فندق مصنف خمس نجوم، وكانت هذه أول مرة أواجه فيها انقطاع كهرباء في فندق بهذا المستوى.
بشكل عام، الفندق لديه إمكانيات جيدة من حيث الموقع والموظفين، لكنه يحتاج إلى تحسين كبير في النظافة، مستوى الأمان، وتوفير الخدمات الأساسية

Our experience at Splendour Residence was nothing short of exceptional. They went above and beyond to make our stay truly memorable, showing genuine care and attention to every detail. The food deserves special mention : was consistently delicious, fresh - giving us a real taste of Sri Lankan hospitality. Beyond the comfort of the residence, we were delighted by the activities offered. Renting a bike allowed us to explore the local surrondings at a relaxed pace, while the boat tour gave us a uniquie perspective of the lake's natural beauty. We highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting Sri Lanka.

We had an Amazing experience in Splendour Residence. The room was huge and comfortable the staff was amazing - great meals, tours, just overall they took care to any of any of our requests. They even have a free tuk tuk to drive you to the near town and back

Nous avons passé une nuit de rêve pour clôturer notre voyage au Sri Lanka, l'hébergement a complètement dépassé nos attentes ! Les hôtes étaient très disponibles, attentionnés et aux petits soins pour nous, nous avons été très émus par leur grande gentillesse ! Le cadre est idyllique, la chambre très spacieuse et luxueuse et la nourriture délicieuse... Meilleur Rice and Curry que nous avons mangé au Sri Lanka. Très disponibles, ils ont su nous organiser un Safari sur le lac en dernière minute avec un très bon guide et à un tarif intéressant. Nous recommandons+++++

Very unique location with great view. Friendly staff. Relaxing environment..

Peaceful place with cleaneas & spectacular river view.

1. Hospitality by Niroshan and his wife was top class. They have 2 team members who are super efficient and will fix everything immediately.
2. The food was fantastic. especially the srilankan food.
3. I developed knee pain, Niroshan himself came and gave me a balm. Realised later that he never charged me.
4. Each room has a large balcony facing the beautiful lake. It's a treat.
5. The rooms are very well maintained. including the bathroom. Which is very clean.
6. Massage was arranged, with complementary coconut water. It was very good made me and wife more relaxed.
7. Surrounded with greenery everywhere. With a lot of birds and living insects ... which is nature at its best around you.

Everything was perfect! The host with his family and staff was so kind to us and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. We only stayed for 2 nights but would have liked to stay a little longer. The swimming pool was clean and a nice temperature, the food was delicious and made with love. The view on the lake was so beautiful. This was the best room we got during our 28 days stay in Sri Lanka. It was very clean, the shower was good and it was nicely designed.

Extra compliments for the owner, the family and the staff! They were smiling all the time. We can't thank them enough for our experience
