Great location and main areas always well looked after

Cons:

Arrived late due to travel delays and after waiting at reception for 10 mins had to go and find someone. The bars staff helped find the person on duty. No bell/phone to let them know someone had arrived. Had been travelling for 7 hours and just wanted to check in and get to bed. Took over 20 minutes from arrive to get my key and get to room.

The room (as always) is great but I don’t think anyone had stayed in the room for a few days as it was pretty dusty and stale smell of water on the bathroom. I just wanted to get to bed as was up and out 5 hours later for work. Room was the cleansed when I got back.

Gorgeous hotel
Pros:

The welcoming and helpful staff, the beautiful decor in the public spaces, the use of the pool and spa area, the luxury vibe, the small private spaces. The beds were very comfortable and our room was clean and a good size for three adults sharing. Liked the separate bedrooms and living room area for tv and kitchen. The night staff on reception was particularly helpful with our aircon, drinks from bar and tv. Much appreciated! Lovely touch of old books to leaf through !

Cons:

The aircon controls in the small vaulted bedroom were almost impossible to access, needed help from night reception staff for that. The lights in the whole vault were difficult to manage and needed mess around quite a lot to get the right ambience. The bathroom was very small. Someone with a larger stature would struggle to get in and out of that shower, was a bit of a squeeze.

Pros:

The room was great, spacious and well equipped. The pool was really lovely & the sauna was great. The full cooked breakfast was really lovely. I we liked the shared spaces atrium & members lounge.

Cons:

The artificial floral decor on the pillars outside seemed really incongruous with the standard of the venue. I understand the slightly kitsch vibe but this was a bit tacky. Unfortunately when we checked in our key cards didn’t reflect that I had paid for a late check out. This resulted in us being trapped between our room and reception desk in Our robes!
